Why Jen, Owner/Property Manager chose Toronto

We've lived in this Toronto west end neighbourhood for about 10 years. Follow College St. east or head down Ossington Ave and maybe end up at Queen St. West a few blocks south. All of these local areas are well known for some of the best restaurants, art galleries and nightlife in Toronto. The area is also a great area for kids - Dufferin Grove park is within a few minutes walk (playground and splash pad in summer/ice rink in winter and year round farmers market). With transit only a few steps from the property, it is a convenient commute to the University of Toronto or the downtown business core.

What makes this apartment unique

1 minute walk to the streetcar, coffee shop, restaurants/cafes/bars, yoga studio, gym (with pool, squash courts, spinning, etc...). No car required!

Everything one can hope for!

  • 5 of 5

Amazing apartment that went beyond our expectations.

Lovely, spotless, comfortable, affordable, convenient location, kind and helpful owners.

We spent our summer in the pied-a-terre, we had the best time one could have hoped. We found the apartment easily, the pictures don't even do it justice... such a wonderful place! Everything there is practical, there is a huge bathtub (which cannot be seen on the pictures), the garden is peaceful and very quiet, thus very enjoyable during the hot summer days. The only drawback being that the air-conditioning is monitored by the upstairs apartment. So be ready to have a pair of trainers and a jacket on hand even in the hottest days of summer if you have neighbors who love it very cold inside on such days.

Despite this negligible shortcoming, the location is perfect, 15 meters from the lively and vibrating College Street, but shed from its traffic and nuisance. There is a streetcar stop taking you downtown just across the street, a Starbucks coffee and an organic shop within slipper-radius, and countless bars and restaurants within walking distance. If you don't want to depend on the arbitrariness of the streetcar, it is possible to walk to Ossington subway station in less than 10 minutes. Just brilliant.

The owners were perfect as well, doing their best to make our Canadian experience an unforgettable one. Any problem/request, even tiny, was dealt with in a blink of an eye. They seemed very obliging and made us feel welcome.

We will definitely come back again, maybe next time trying one of the upstairs flats.

Thank you Jen and Dave for your hospitality, you made our summer the greatest so far!

A great spot

We were in Toronto for our daughter's wedding. This apartment is conveniently located and very well equipped. Lots of places to dine close by and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the Ossingtom subway station. We'll be back.

Everything you need in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for a week in Oct and found it to be an excellent apartment in a great neighbourhood. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance to suit any taste (Little Italy/China Town) but don't worry - the apartment is very quiet.

The apartment was very well presented with everything you need to feel at home - I would highly recommend a stay here to get the feel for life in Toronto. We had a car during our stay but there is great public transport in the area so if you are intending to keep within GTA a car is not needed.

Fantastic apartment run by great people.

  • 5 of 5

Just back from another stay at this fabulous apartment. It really is such a luxurious place to stay and Dave and Jen could not be more helpful and friendly. Everything that you need is here and with accommodation in such a convenient area with easy access to the city centre but with the wide range of amenities in the immediate area there is no need to go that far. A lovely place of your own to come back to at the end of a busy day.

A lovely living space, ideal for two

  • 5 of 5

Modern decor, convenience and a good location make pied a terre a real home from home. We stayed for two weeks in September 2010 and had a fantastic time exploring Toronto. The apartment also has access to a lovely garden. Dave and Jen were good hosts and made us feel very welcome, without being overbearing. Little Italy had great food shops, cafe's and resturants. There were also Shopping Malls nearby (No-Frills was great) if you are going self catering. Public transportation was easily accessible (buses and trams, linking to the subway network). The local people are friendly, helpful and cheerful. We would love to go back.
