Apartment 'Girasole' disposes of a spacious living-/bedroom with one double bed (extra bed possible) and beautiful antique furniture, a well equipped kitchen with dining area, a bathroom with shower and bidet, TV (sat). This lovely holiday flat (about 45 m²) is located on the first floor and very stylish. In front of both sides of the apartment there are two outdoor areas to choose from. You can relish your breakfast in the shadow of a huge acacia and enjoy the impressing sunset with a glass of wine after dinner. During the holiday season we offer apartment 'Girasole' and apartment 'Nido' together to families with elder children for the price of apartment 'Mar e Monte' - if all other family flats are already booked.
Since 2009 our pool can be heated in spring and autumn. Now our guests can already swim in April and May and as well in October... Beside the pool there is a whirlpool where you can have massages.
The estate has been restored in original Marchigian style and is situated on a hill with a fantastic view of the sea. Three houses, an old Church, the pool and the 6,000 m² park-like garden help to make this a refuge of peace and quiet. There are five apartments to choose from, suitable for a maximum of 20 people. During the restoration we tried to avoid 'classical' hotel standards. Each apartment has its own charm by its individual and charming interior. All holiday homes have a cosy kitchen/dining area, a spacious bathroom, central heating and satellite TV. Our residents can dispose of the swimming pool, the barbecue, the bar, numerous quiet resting places and a sport field for boccia, badminton, volleyball... Borgo Vecchio is situated in a region of a cultural, culinary and scenic variety and the distance to the different beaches is only a few kilometers.
Since 2009 our pool can be heated in spring and autumn and we can offer to our guests as well a whirlpool to have massages.

We live here now 19 years - after we have seen so much of the world and travelled as well from north to south here in Italy - must say . we found one of the best places you can stay.
Harry Mock, owner purchased this apartment in 1996
Our property is situated far away from traffic... noise... but anyway you can reach in a few minutes the next villages or towns and the beaches.

Following clear directions (the last stretch is on an unmade road through farmland!) we arrived to a warm welcome and a cold drink, Ulla, Harry and Paul the dog made our stay something special. We felt like guests at a house party. Although we were the only English guests, everybody spoke to us in English and we were included in everything. It was a lovely atmosphere. The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable, whilst the pool and the grounds were idyllic. The poolside bar was very welcome and the weekly get-together over a meal or drinks further encouraged the bonhomie. Ulla and Harry are happy to recommend trips and book restaurants, whilst Paul makes sure everybody gets his attention (for the price of a biscuit!). Le Marche is unspoilt with many beautiful places to visit. Urbino was the highlight of our trip. Otherwise, this really is a place to get away from it all and relax.
Borgo Vecchio was our home for 2 weeks in August 2008. We were fortunate to hit on Borgo Vecchio. The property has been cleverly and lovingly restored by Harry and Ulla whose unobtrusive efficiency and quickly established friendship contributed greatly to our enjoyment of the holiday. At the heart of the property is an impressive pool with 'Harry's Bar' at its head. Harry's gruff exterior ( like that of his faithful dog Prugna) hides a heart of gold. Ulla introduced us to reasonably priced local restaurants. The nearby beaches are easily reached. We used Torrette which has a nice Italian family atmosphere and safe bathing as well as free car parking. For sightseeing we visited Urbino. Be sure to attend the poolside dinner prepared by Ulla and Angela. A great party! Borgo Vecchio truly a home from home!
We arrived after a long drive from Lake Garda and were greeted with friendly smiles and complimentaty drinks from Harry and Ulla by the communal pool. The open-plan apartment had a balcony area where you could eat privately.
The pool was a great antidote to the long sunny days and everyone was friendly. There were several excellent restaurants nearby (frequented by local people) at reasonable prices. As Le Marche is not too touristy I would recommend it. Our trip to Urbino was a highlight and there are also beaches nearby with all facilities. The owners arranged a communal meal for everyone that was a fun experience of food, beers, wines and music. As we had young teenage children we wondered how things would work sharing the pool with others. It worked very well and Harry arranged a darts game in the evening that turned out to a competition between England and Germany! England might win another time.
Thanks for making us feel at home.
Weites Land, fern vom Massentourismus.
San Costanzo is only about 3 km away. The contemplative little town with its imposing Malatesta fortress is located between the old Roman town Fano and the famous sea resort Senigallia along the Adriatic Sea. San Costanzo offers all shopping facilities, bars, cafés, restaurants and pizzerias, a post office, a pharmacy, doctors and not at least interesting historic buildings. You still can find here originality and typical Italian flair. To the railway station of Fano it takes you only 15 minutes by car and Ancona Airport is only 45 km away. You can choose as well from the airports Forli, Rimini or Bologna which you reach in 1 - 1,5 hours and meanwhile there are a lot of inexpensive flights to come over here to Le Marche by aeroplane. A change of beach life you will find in all the well restored villages and towns nearby with their markets, festivals and concerts. The local restaurants offer fresh and homemade pastas and delicious meat and seafood specialities.
Other Activities: boccia, badminton, volleyball, darts
Golf: The next Golf Club: 'Conero Sirolo' near Ancona; 18 + 9 holes, Greenfee: 35 -40 €.
