This large 1 bedroom condominium is just a few yards from the ocean and is located in Kauai, Hawaii on the sunny south shore of Poipu Beach. The resort has only 71 units and is nestled between the beautifully landscaped Prince Kuhio Park on one side and a lush, tropical garden and pool on the other side. From wall-to-wall windows in the bedroom, there are ocean views, park views, mountain views, and a view of the sunrise! The ocean is so close you can hear the ocean waves from the bedroom at night. The living room has a great view of the pool and garden through large picture windows. The beach is famous for surfing, snorkeling, and sunsets! Unbeatable price and location!
The surfers and body boarders are regulars at this beach.

Inside Prince Kuhio Resort #114, you will enjoy a modern condo. Below is a list of amenities that make this vacation rental so unique:

There are also excellent views of mountains and the park from the bedroom. The tropical garden comes right up to the large picture window in the living room and you have a great view of the pool.
Bright and Airy: Wall-to-wall windows in the bedroom and a large picture window in the living room.

Large Bedroom: With wall-to-wall windows, the bedroom is large, bright, airy and has a king size bed and sliding glass doors to the patio. The patio has a view of the ocean, park, and mountains.
Location: We have been vacationing in Kauai since 1984 and it didn't take us long to decide that we like this area and Prince Kuhio Resort the best.
Stayed for 11 days. Condo was clean and very well equipped. Tastefully decorated, granite counter tops, tile floors and freshly painted. It had 2 bathrooms, all principal rooms were generously sized. Sheltered parking. Best part was its location, just steps to a great snorkeling beach, lots of shopping and good restaurants. The 'Beach House' right across the street was superb all the way to great burgers at 'Tropical Burgers'. Everything in southern Kaiua was within easy reach, 20 minute drive to Lihue for all necessary shopping.
Would stay again, would recommend it.
Thanks Jack and Dorinda
My husband and I had a great vacation in Kauai and this condo really enriched our experience. This place is right by Lawa'i beach where we enjoyed snorkeling, snuba diving and sunbathing. Right next to the beach, the restaurant "Beach House" is great for a romantic dinner while watching the stunning sunset over the ocean! The surroundings are also great for running any time of the day. The house is also about a mile away from the "Spouting Horn" where the blowhole spouts the ocean water. The owners, Jack and Dorinda, were extremely helpful from the moment we booked this place. They sent us very detailed information about the house which made everything go smooth for us. They were also very responsive whenever we emailed them. The house was quite spacious for us, very clean and well-organized. They also provided the beach gear, couple beach chairs, beach mat and boogie board, which we utilized a lot. We also spent great time in Poipu beach, couple shopping centers around it and the old town Koloa (a must see)-- all are about 5-10 minutes away by driving. Overall we had a wonderful experience staying in this place and visiting Kauai. We would definitely love to come back to this place for our next Kauai vacation.
We enjoyed our stay in this unit. This was our first visit to the island, and we were not sure about the location going in but it turned out to be a good fit. This part of the island had less traffic and was not as busy and crowded as some east and north parts of the island. Yet this area was convenient to a number of south shore beaches - including one right across the street. The grounds were well maintained and the pool appeared renovated recently. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning with the sunrise to warm us. The lanai overlooks park land that is well maintained. There were a lot of roosters but we didn't mind their wake-up calls. The ocean is within view but I would not consider this an ocean-view unit if that is what you are seeking. Parts of the unit appeared recently renovated and others were a bit dated. I would say that this is a very spacious unit - far bigger than we required. I also want to mention that the kitchen utensils, pots, pans, etc.. were excellent - everything we needed to cook. All in all this was a great base for exploring the island. We would come again.
This condo is exceptionally clean in a great location. We snorkeled across the street and ate a wonderful meal at the Beach House. We highly recommend this place. Thanks Jack and Dorinda!
Lots of extra equipment for the beach, coolers, towels , chairs, mat, and shelves of books. Really comfortable bed! Walking distance to beach, sunset, spouting horn, botanical gardens, Beach House restaurant. Easy drive to stores in Koloa, Sueoka grocery served most of our needs. Grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. Apartment itself was a bit dark, minimal direct ocean view because it's on first floor but being on the park was nice. Internet worked well (someone previously reported it didn't.) Would be nice to have laundry in the unit. Owners were very good communicators. Plus/minus (we enjoyed it) was the very noisy bird roosting/rousing at sunset/sunrise.
Prince Kuhio is a condo complex in the Lawai area of Poipu. It is less expensive than surrounding properties because it is older, not all units have air conditioning, and it has central laundry room. It's not a resort. It's a beautiful place where people live, and that's what makes it perfect. The grounds there, with the amazing garden, koi pond and new pool are well and lovingly maintained. Unit 114, is a ground floor spot that opens to the garden. It has a breeze that blows through and keeps things perfect inside. The whole place is comfortable and easy to live in. The bed is comfortable, and with the back slider open you can hear the wind and the waves. The living space is well laid out. You open the door to the large open living area that combines the kitchen, dining and sitting room. The bedroom in back is separated from the the living area, and easily accommodates the king bed. Because of its location, it works very well as a place from which you can explore the island. The high quaility beach chairs, coolers and beach towels come in very handy. Right across the street you will find some of the best snorkeling on the island. You will find all of the groceries you need a short drive away, either at the local Kukui'ula market, or at Big Save in Koloa Town. The north shore beaches are 45 min - 1 hr away, and the west island with its stark Waimea Canyon and view of Nihau is an easy drive. We happily recommend this property.
Located just 20 yards from the beach and ocean in Poipu Beach Kauai, famous for surfing, snorkeling, and sunsets!
