This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. The house combines the best of old fashioned and modern styles. It's bright, airy, cheerful, and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The yard is also beautiful with lots of opportunities for observing wildlife and sunsets from the porch. Two bedrooms allow you to wake with the beautiful sunrise over the water, and the third bedroom is perfect for the guest who wants to sleep late. The kitchen is well equipped. It's a great space for entertaining. Maybe it's corny, but it all added up to a truly magical week. It was almost hard to tear ourselves away and explore the island. The owners are very nice, helpful, responsive, but easy going. Renting was an easy process. We definitely hope to do it again!

Beautiful property with great owners

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautifully maintained! The owners are very nice and helpful. We brought our children with us and they had a blast running around the property! We enjoyed waking to the sounds of birds and finding an occasional deer. Definitely would recommend to family and friends and will likely return.

Best Place Ever (just don't take my week)

  • 5 of 5

We will be returning next year. This was an amazing vacation first and foremost because of the house. Panoramic views situated on a stately property with a pond. The habitat included red-winged blackbirds, deer and a family of the sweetest muskrats. It felt like a David Attenborough nature program. Receptive owners. Everything you would need for a great Block Island vacation. Book now!

Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed here with our family and we highly recommend this house for anyone who wants to stay in a "home away from home". This home is impeccably clean, breezy throughout (i think we ran the fan once), comfortable furnishings, open, bright and airy. The house is in a wonderful location; close enough to walk or bike to town, yet situated far away enough for complete privacy. The grounds are impeccably beautiful as well; the spralling backyard to the beautiful gardens. Gorgeous front porch to spend your lazy afternoon after the beach or gaze at the stars on the back porch into the wee evening hours. Whatever you choose to do here, know that you will feel very comfortable and want to book your vaccation next year before you ever even leave!

farm house rental

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay here, plenty of room, cool night breezes, close to everything. Sue and Peter were very accomodating. The house had everything you needed, and was very comfortable.

We look forward to returning next summer.

Cheerful, Charming and Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Susan and Peter's lovely farm house. It had absolutely everything we needed and was a great place to entertain for the week. The grounds are well-kept, the breezes refreshing and the views simply lovely, especially the beautiful sunrises. The location turned out to be very good and a quick and easy walk/bike ride into town or to lighthouse and Mohegan Bluffs. As an artist I found the natural light and cheerfulness of the home to be particularly inspiring. It's the kind of place you want to hangout in compared to those places that you only use for sleeping. Our thanks to our hosts. We hope to be back again some day.
