Very pleased

The pictures are very accurate. The cabin (chalet) was exceptionally clean, well kept and nicely furnished. The neighborhood is great and all of the neighbors are friendly. Every morning we saw deer below the deck.

This vacation was one to remember and it was mainly because of this Chalet. Such an amazing place to stay with family. The views were amazing and the neighbors made it a perfect 10. Heidi, the owner was absolutley amazing, always quick to respond and always accommodating. She is simply every renters dream.

Mountain Serenity- There is no better name for this chalet.

Direction to the chalet were easy to follow to the gated community, with paved roads and also very quite. The road up to the chalet is a little steep in a couple of places so winter travel could be an issue without a properly equipped vehicle. The chalet was clean as a pin from top to bottom and inside and out. The chalet was beautifully decorated, we even added a sleeping bear to the mantel for the owners. There was a print of a mule that I wanted but I couldn't talk Heidi out of it! Heidi did call us about a problem with the kitchen faucet but it was not a problem for us. Lots of towels in each bathroom, plenty of dishes and cookware in the kitchen. The garage was also a nice added feature that we used and it was just as clean. We had visits from deer, rabbits, humming birds, butterfly, and the resident bats on the porch and no bugs.

We rented this chalet to watch and photograph the recent solar eclipse. We had a great view of the eclipse and took lots of pictures right of the deck. I will be sending the owners some pictures.

This property is by far the nicest place we have ever rented and we will be coming back for another stay.

If you want a cabin that is immaculate (inside and out) and fossil collecting, gem mining, hiking, kayaking and white water rafting - just to name a few. We stayed only 1 short week (wished we could have stayed forever) and had a blast exploring the cities of Murphy, Bryson City and Asheville, NC. Just cannot say enough good things about our rental experience. Even thought we had to change our initial rental date due to business conflicts, Bill and Heidi were very professional and accommodating. They are just good people! WE WILL BE BACK to experience another slice of heaven at SERENITY. See ya'll soon.....................

wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We had a terrific stay of 3 weeks at this lovely home. Great spot for exploring the John C

Campbell folk school, area hiking/waterfalls, listening to music in nearby Murphy, enjoying local lake activities or just relaxing on the porch taking in the view. Owners very responsive and easy to work with. Nice neighbors. We will return!

Like other reviews, the pictures don't do this place justice. The views are beautiful and the house is extremely clean (and I am VERY picky) and so comfortably furnished. My husband and I felt right at home and it was with heavy hearts that we had to leave. A highlight of our trip was getting to see about 15-20 deer grazing right outside the house, we had never seen that many together! We certainly hope to return next year and are so grateful for the owners sharing their home, they were quick to respond and very pleasant in all their communications. Looking forward to spending many more visits here!
