Perfect Place!

It was a short stay for us. The house looks even better in person! Amazing beach views, great sunsets! Great location close to everything. William was terrific at getting us booked in quickly and very responsive to our emails. Ken Bradshaw the local property manager was terrific as well in making sure we had everything we needed. Ken's a legendary Big Wave surfer as well, check out his video's, very cool! We will be back! Thanks William

We just returned from our visit to the North Shore and could not have been happier with our choice. The house was in the most perfect location. There were hardly any people on the beach in front of the house and you literally just step five steps out the back door and are on the sand. Sitting on the beach in the morning with coffee was the best part of the day. And the house itself was great too! It was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We did not need to bring anything, as all the comforts of home were provided. And the added bonus was conversation with legendary surfer Ken Bradshaw, who manages the property. It was just more than we could have hoped for and we will go back again for sure!!!

Relaxing days

We just returned from our stay in Oahu ! We first did 2 nights in Waikiki , hated it ! To crowded !!!!! But once arriving at our beach house , all was perfect ! The view is amazing ! The home(s) were well equipped with all that we needed . We had 3 couples so it was nice that the space was divided into 2 cottages ! The weather was a little warm , and we would have loved to have some A/C , but we got relief once the trade winds kicked up . The cottages are nicely decorated and a beautifully updated kitchen . The beach is amazing and private ! Food land is close , as is teds bakery . The owner and caretaker were great to work with . Overall a great vacation rental ! We will be back . Mahalo William for letting us enjoy your home !

Awesome and totally relaxing

Wow. The location of this property is spectacular - I can not imagine how anything could be better. There is a broad, clean beach just outside the gate, and the sound of vigorous surf fills the house and provides your 24/7 sound track. During our late February visit the ocean was filled with whales, seemingly waving to us from just offshore. While surfers were plentiful at the nearby public access points (and easily visible for "surfer watching"), the beach in front of us was so empty it felt almost private. This is a paradise I would definitely visit again. A note on the property - the cottage is delightful in it's simplicity and lack of ostentation. For us, an extended family of 3 adult couples and an older mother/ mother-in-law, the configuration of two separate cottages on on property was perfect.

Wonderful property, awesome experience.

I loved staying here, sitting on the deck while watching/listening to the waves crash on the beach never got old day or night. The sunsets are unreal, the stars are bright, and the sunsets are incredible.

Some friends and I needed a place to stay on the North Shore to attend a mutual friend's wedding in late October. Our desires were that the place sleep six adults, has direct access to the beach, is reasonably priced, and is relatively close to all amenities. This place fits all of those criteria and is also a great place.

The house is up to date with new appliances including a 32" HDTV. There is wifi and it has reliably good speeds, I found that 10-15M down was typical. The kitchen has the usual appliances as well as a blender and a coffee maker. The place was very clean and there were plenty of beach towels. There's a laundry room in case you need to wash any clothes and said beach towels.

There's a grocery store five minutes down the road and a gas station less than a block away. Swimming in the ocean in late October isn't recommended in front of the house, though the surf was good given that there was a competition happening 400 yards down the beach. Waimea is 10 minutes away by car and has great swimming.

If there's any flaws, they have to do with cooking. The knives were very dull, I couldn't find one that would cut through the skin of a salmon filet, the grill is charcoal which can be difficult to light during the frequently windy conditions, and there was no food storage containers so stock up on glad wrap at the store. The deck, which I could happily spend the rest of my life on, is super slippery when wet so keep some footwear on the back deck (no footwear in the house).

I'm now trying to figure out when I can get back to this gem on the North Shore.

Perfect Oasis for a restful Vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 (2 adults 4 kids ranging from 14-6) had a wonderful, restful vacation in the lovely beach front house. The week we stayed the weather was transitioning from winter to summer weather so some days the beach could be rough and some days the beach could be mild (older kids able to swim & snorkel). The surfing here is not for the beginner but intermediate and advanced surfers can handle it. My family had mostly beginning surfers so we surfed in Haleiwa with Sunset Suzy Surf school. It was great to surf with green turtles there. But it was always a pleasure to look out and see surfers enjoying themselves & catching awesome waves.

The house was a wonderful little bungalow with plenty of room for our family. It was delightful to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean. Eating breakfast out on the deck we were able to watch the geckos and the local birds every morning. We were also lucky to see humpback whales out in the distance on a number of days.

The beach in front of the house felt like our own private paradise. Most of the time we were the only ones there. Beautiful sand, seashells, and a close walk to Sunset Beach.

Oh and the Sunsets were beautiful too!!

Having a washer/dryer also helped. There were lots of towels provided and having a place to dry our beach towels certainly helped.

We loved our stay at this house and hope to return someday. It was perfectly lovely!
