We're two active adults with daughts just staring their careers who live independently. My husband is an avid sailor enjoying windsurfing, standup paddling and sailing at Jericho Beach.
Naomi & Friedrich purchased this house in 1984
We purchased a home in this area because it's a lovely friendly neighbourhood. A quiet, safe, tree lined residential area with very good schools and close proximity to downtown and to the beaches and park.
Excellent butcher/grocery store and Butter bakery/ tea shop just around the corner. Try Bigsby's for artesian bread yummy luncheon soups and sandwiches across from the grocery store.
My husband and I recently visited Vancouver for a week, and stayed here for the duration. The apartment had everything we needed, a comfortable bed, fully functioning kitchen and privacy. The neighbourhood is beautiful, and peaceful.
Free parking on the street was a bonus, even though we took the city bus for most of the week. The bus was accessible from this location, and will take you anywhere you need to go in the city.
We would highly recommend this suite to anyone visiting Vancouver!
The Buxbaums are the best! We so enjoyed being in this charming little suite. A perfect location! The pictures are 100% accurate and so are the descriptions. Thanks, we will be back.
I am 89 years old so spent a lot of time in doors reading and knitting, in a very comfortable suite. I am a western "girl" so enjoyed seeing members of my first family. The unit is in a lovely area, easy to get to, and with good access for visitors. The outstanding plus of the unit was Naomi and Frederich, the owners ! They couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful ! This is a happy place !
Fredrich and Naomi were amazing! This place is great and the neighbourhood was awesome. Easy to get to town and far enough away so that it's relaxing. They were both very helpful and I could not recommend this place enough if you are looking for a home away from home.
Loved the forest nearby and the cafe on Dunbar
Our children, my husband, and I spent our 3 week summer holiday together.
Frederich and Naomi welcomed us in their home with open arms in spite of our lack of English skills and arranged the furniture to accommodate our children.
I still remember vividly how Frederich rushed out to greet us with a big smile and a handshake when we arrived. Naomi was very kind, and she took my children blackberry picking and to nature walks through the forest with her sister. Her homemade scones and cakes made with the berries they picked were out of this world.
Their house stands in a beautiful setting among the trees and was conveniently located near a bus stop. We had everything we needed including a rice cooker.
We can’t thank them enough for making our time in Vancouver a thoroughly enjoyable experience that we will not soon forget.
My husband had a conference to attend at UBC. This location was perfect! It was a short direct drive or short walk to the bus to UBC. The property itself was spacious and charming, with use of the deck and laundry facilities. Naomi and Frederich were charming and very hospitable. The short walk to the plentiful shops and restaurants of Kerrisdale made it possible for me to busy myself during the days without a car. I would stay here again.
