Powers Lake is a spring fed inland lake and one of the cleanest swimming lakes in Wisconsin which allows all types of boating, jet skiing, swimming and fishing.

The property features a main house which can sleep 22 comfortably in beds!!! A wonderful covered 5 person swing at the Pointe of the property compliments the open green space for all types of outdoor activities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Nancy and John, Where do we begin - Our family LOVED staying here! We had a sing-a-long by the camp fire. We put on a family talent show in the living room. The beds and linens were all a treat for weary relatives. We played games on the enclosed porch and the braver ones swam in the lake. Three floors with living rooms was a nice thing we have seldom seen. We all look forward to staying here again.

Our family held a first time reunion at the house over Memorial Weekend. There were 20 of us ages 4-65. The home has spacious gathering rooms on all three levels complete with comfy new furniture, beautiful windows looking out to the lake, a screened in porch, and an averaged sized kitchen. The decor was just stunning! We cooked all of our meals in and had plenty of dinnerware to cover us all. Fridge/freezers on both levels meant everything could be kept cold. The pool table was a hit as well.

Outdoors, there was plenty of seating for 20+ including a fire pit and benches overlooking the water. The beach area was small and sandy - perfect for the younger kids. Yet the dock and shore line were wide enough to let the elementary aged kids paddle back and forth. Because the house sits on a point, you don't feel like you have neighbors which is lovely on such a well traveled lake.

It rained the first full day and being inside we realized both the Wii and the Playstation were broken which was a bummer. However John made it right by not charging us for the kayak and paddleboard use. He was very fair and he (and Beth) responded quickly to questions. Although we didn't end up using it, they offered a late check out time as well at no extra cost. Very sweet!

It's a great getaway for any ages with all interests! We sure hope to return.

Just about perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Seven 55+ couples just spent a rainy, cold weekend at this lake home and we all agreed we couldn't have found a better place in which to be stuck inside! Although we spent some time imagining what it would be like on a beautiful day it was short-lived because the view out the big lakefront windows was beautiful and relaxing. We prepared all but one meal in the kitchen and everything we needed to get that done was stocked. There is more than adequate refrigerator and freezer space located upstairs and downstairs. There is plenty of room for large group games and plenty of comfortable (new) furniture in the large gathering spaces to sit and catch up on family . The basement rec room area is spacious, not damp at all, which is uncommon in a house this age, nice bar area, pool table and again, plenty of comfortable furniture and a TV that the guys used to stay tuned in to the NFL draft. We even considered bringing our Corn Hole game downstairs because there would have been room to play it! Found enough to do though, so didn't need to.

I would subtract a half a star because of the comfort of some of the beds. Granted we were all over 55, but some mattresses are extremely firm and one queen sinks in the middle. That's it. Just shy of perfect!

John and his property manager, Beth, were very friendly and quick to respond to an email or phone call in regard to the booking or any questions/concerns. That's a BIG deal in my book! They were very accommodating and helpful and I would like to thank them for that. You don't have to worry about anything when you book this property. You get exactly what you see plus more!

Great place for a large group!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a weekend in February for a retreat with a group of 15 women and had an amazing time. The house had everything we needed. Loved that there are multiple gathering areas, the wood-burning fireplace was so cozy, the view so nice to wake up to. I have stayed a lot of VRBO properties and really felt like this one is maintained so well, especially as compared to some others I've been in. Just wish it had been warm enough to use all the outdoor gathering areas, they looked so inviting!
