Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)
About Debra Powers
We have been married 49 years and grew up in the area around Norris Lake. We always went to the lake for camping vacations when we were young so we know most of the great things the lake offers. We decided we were getting too old for sleeping on the ground in a tent and decided this was a much more comfortable way to "camp". Hot tub, swimming pool, nice comfortable queen size bed, etc.
Debra Powers purchased this Condo in 2008
Why Debra Powers chose Andersonville
We love the area, the lake and are very familiar with Norris Lake. We felt like it was a good value for the money.

Gorgeous view of the lake and marina from our unit. Sit on the covered patio and watch the water. Just enjoy the quiet at night with the shimmer of the moon on the water. Wonderful!

Great location - Needs Cleaned and Updating
This condo is in a great location on the water at the marina. We have rented other units at this Marina and the first floor location is great, be mindful there are steps to the 1st floor. We were disappointed in the age/quality of the condo amenities. The couch was so broken down it was uncomfortable to sit on. We ended up sitting on the formals chairs and floor. The sleeper in the sofa is not acveptable as an extra bed option. We paid a cleaning fee and I assume the previous renters did as well, but I had to wipe down all the appliances, counters, and floors because they were dirty with food and had not been cleaned. The bed sheets were old and had bleach spots. The patio facing the lake is my favorite part of these units, but the patio furniture had mildew and mold on them and we did not feel comfortable sitting on them.
I'm sorry you were disappointed in your stay at our condo. We have not had any other complaints so will address your concerns. We do have a lady that cleans and have had no complaints about their work.
August stay at Waterside
The property was great for several weekdays on Norris Lake. The 1 bedroom condo was comfortable, clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The restaurant at the Marina was only open on the weekends since school has started but other marina food option with just a short boat ride. The only Wi-fi was at the marina but was nice to not be connected for a few days. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub and had both to ourselves in the evenings. Would recommend this for couples or small families as would be cozy to have 4 people.
Love this property and the marina. The only thing I would recommend is getting WiFi.
Very convenient, clean, and relaxing atmosphere. The employees at the marina are very friendly and helpful. We kept our boat in a covered slip at Waterside Marina. The staff couldn't have made things easier for us. A+++
10 ft ceilings, decorations ranging from 1800's south China Sea captain to country French kitchen. Big bathroom with hotel sized toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc provided)
Close to both Big Ridge and Norris Dam State Parks with plenty of hiking.
Comfortable bed, plenty of kitchen necessities provided (take tin foil/saran wrap/matches etc if you think you will need it)
Large patio both covered (private) and not covered. Outlet makes it easy to sit, relax and listen to music while soaking up the view. Just wish I had taken a small fan for a breeze in the humidity.
Big pool with plenty of lounge chairs, as well as tables and seating in the shade.
Be aware that this complex is not handicapped accessible...lots of stairs, no ramps, no push-button access on common area doors, no lift chair at the pool.
Marina is well maintained
If you park on the marina level, fewer stairs, and the ones that are there are not as steep. More parking slots as well.
Glad we found this property, and will probably be back
Perfect for a couple, maybe with small kids
I have stayed in other 1BR units here before, so I knew what to expect. It's cozy, efficient, convenient, and in a beautiful location. Waterside has a great clubhouse, pool, convenient access to the nicest marina on Norris. Decor in this unit is classy, it has a washer dryer, full kitchen, two TVs, and nice outdoor area. This particular unit needs a little maintenance, however. The toilet handle was broken and taped, and flushing mechanism came detached. The tub/shower faucet doesn't work sometimes; we discovered we had to push it in and turn it, to get it to engage. The faucet needs to be replaced. And the tub didn't drain very well. We will share this with the owners, expecting that for future tenants, (say later this year and into 2020), these issues will be addressed. We love the Waterside marina and condos! If you plan to book there and bring a boat, check with the marina ahead of time to be sure they have slip space. They only have a few, and they sell out quickly!
Thank you for your feedback. We were not aware of the maintenance issues and will have those taken care of.
