Sweet Place, Gracious Hostess

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely time in Vancouver and much of our enjoyment of this great City came from staying in this sweet apartment with lots of windows in this leafy green quiet neighborhood. Because of Carolyn we found Main Street only three blocks away with all sorts of wonderful restaurants and grocery stores and the bus system. Oh, the public transport system in Vancouver is to die for! Two blocks in the other direction is the Olympic Aquatic Center, because I like to swim, best pool ever! Two blocks beyond the Aquatic Center is Queen Elizabeth Park and if you are a garden lover you will love it and the panoramic view of beautiful Vancouver. Thank you so much Caroline for making our trip truly memorable!

We visited Vancouver for 3 days before our Alaskan cruise. We absolutely LOVED the city, the people and the neighborhood we stayed in. I was a little hesitant because I knew the property was a basement. To my surprise Christine's place is warm, welcoming, cozy and immaculate! The neighborhood is so lovely, quiet and peaceful. We felt completely safe to venture out and take a stroll. We will surely rent here the next time we vacation in Vancouver.

Reasonable access to Vancouver's excellent public transportation system. Apartment is very clean and comfortable with all necessary amenities. We loved the location a block away from a recreation center with a pool and the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park.

We enjoyed our stay very much. There is nothing negative to say about this property. Bed, towels, location and host Caroline were all perfect. We found the location very easy. We took the bus on Main Street into town every day at $2.75 each way. It's only a very short walk to Main Street where there is also every type of shop and restaurant that you could want. Thank you Caroline for such a terrific place.

Very nice place.

We really enjoyed our stay during the month of April because there are so many flowers to admire all around. On the 28th avenue you have the Cherry Blossoms. St.James St nearby is really worth seeing. And nearby is the Queen Elizabeth Park and the Van Dusen Park.

The location is perfect. Main St has everything for your needs: food, restaurants.

Get a Compass Card and you go everywhere by Bus or Train. Very cheap. No need of a car.

The apartment is big enough for two.

We would have preferred a dining table with chairs. The 2 little stools without a back support is not very good for old people

Perfect, Beyond expectations

  • 5 of 5

This basement vacation rental was very comfortable, clean and well equipped, perfect size for my wife and I. The bed was very comfortable, in floor heating was nice on the feet on chilly morning. Kitchenette was well equipped. Caroline gave very helpful information to supplement the informative binder the rental has on sites, recommendations, etc.The beautiful house with this rental was on a quiet, mature, safe neighborhood, perfectly centrally located in the city so you are a short drive or walk away from anything. Free parking. Main Street, two blocks away, offered a vast selection of coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, etc. QE Park with the Bloedel conservatory and beautiful gardens was excellent, even in March.

Caroline was incredibly kind, helpful and understanding when I had a Visa security issue with payment. We also needed a later checkout and she had no problem accommodating us.

This trip just whetted our appetite to return and there is absolutely no question where we will be staying.
