Luxury Apartment - Jardin Du Luxembourg - Quartier Latin

Bedrooms 2
Property type apartment
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

This luxury apartment is on the second US floor ( one floor up from the street) accessible with an elevator. It has been decorated with taste and attention to details.

The property has 4 separated rooms plus kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet. The main bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. There is an elegant living room with a large flat screen TV and a comfortable sofa. Next to it, the fourth room is a dining room with a table big enough for 10 guests. The modern kitchen is fully equipped. It has a large stove. The bathroom is modern and very pleasant to use..

You can go to from one bedroom to any room without disturbing the persons in the other bedroom.

According to Parisians, its location is the most pleasant district of Paris, the 5th arrondissement. What do you think about having a view on the Val de Grace church, and cruising in rue Mouffetard and Rue Monge, known for their typical markets and Parisian atmosphere, and next to Luxembourg garden.

It felt like a real neighborhood, away from most of the tourist spots, but within close proximity to everything. We found some wonderful restaurants along Rue Saint Jacques, Blvd. Montparnasse, Rue Vavin, and around the Luxembourg Gardens.

The Val de grace, which is few yards away, is a Military Hospital built in the XVII° century and offers the second nicest church and 'Dôme' of Paris after the Invalides.  It is in a very nice area, with the Luxembourg Garden, Pantheon and Sorbonne all less than 5 minutes away.

A seven-minute walk south then right on the boulevard du Montparnasse and then past the Vavin Metro stop takes you to a bustling area of up-scale cafés and creperies. Several of the cafés are historically famous, and were frequented by Hemingway, Chagall, Matisse, and Picasso. The café Closerie des Lilas, at the corner of boulevard du Montparnasse and boulevard St-Michel, is where Hemingway penned 'The Sun Also Rises' in a mere two weeks. This area really comes alive late at night.

The fresh food market on Blvd. Port Royal is friendly and full of seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as game and all kinds of cheese. There is also a wonderful boucherie just off Rue St. Jacques and Blvd. Port Royal as well as Rue Val de Grace.

Guestbook comments from the manager

My husband, adult daughter, and I totally enjoyed our two week stay in this

charming Rue du Val de Grace apartment with every amenity. The owner was

a delightful hostess who helped to make our vacation perfect. We truly felt

that we were in a Parisian home rather than a rental. The location was great -

a short walk to the Metro, cafes, grocery stores, and the loveliest garden in Paris.

Comfort and convenience

  • 5 of 5

I read a detailed review of this property that helped me choose it, so I’ll leave as much detail as I can. Josette and her husband met us at the apartment and they were very welcoming and explained everything in the apartment. The apartment itself is large with a large bathroom and impressive dining area. The beds were very comfortable and the apartment is on a quiet street. The kitchen is very well equipped; you have everything you need to prepare meals and the refrigerator is very large. Josette filled the fridge with drinks which was greatly appreciated upon arrival. The TV in this apartment is amazing; it might be better than the TV we have at home. There is a huge selection of DVDs if you are interested in film. The couch is also extremely comfortable. There are At least two grocery stores less than five minutes walk from the apartment and a wonderful bakery practically next door. Getting to the property from the airport is extra simple by taking the RER B train directly from the airport to the Port Royal stop. From there, it’s only a five minute walk. At the corner of Rue du Val de Grace is the 38 line bus, which runs up the Boulevard St. Michel. This is a very lively section of Paris that has lots to offer. Overall, this apartment is a gem. I’ve been to Paris many, many times and enjoyed coming back to such a beauty, comfortable apartment in the evening. I honestly have no negative comments about this apartment. I hope to come back again.

Provided a true Parisian experience. Our hosts were wonderful. They met us at the apartment, went over everything and we're very responsive to any questions we had. Fully stocked kitchen was great! Would love to stay here again and would recommend to anyone.

Stunning apartment in the Latin Quarter

  • 5 of 5

We were so pleased to be able to book this apartment for our 3 night weekend in Paris. The apartment is even better than the photographs, it's true! Not only is it beautifully decorated, it's also very well equipped. Although, we didn't cook in the kitchen, it has every utensil you would need. We really appreciated the extras, such as the hairdryer and UK socket adaptors. It really is home from home, and we won't hesitate to book again when visiting Paris next time! Merci Beaucoup!

A wonderful apartment in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I with our young-adult son stayed in this apartment for a week in late November. The apartment was extremely clean and well-appointed. It provided us with plenty of room. Our hosts welcomed us upon our arrival and graciously offered to be of any assistance we might need. The washer/dryer, coffee maker, television, wifi etc. all worked very well and we had no need to call on our hosts during our stay.

The location is really great. It is on a relatively quiet street and near charming shops and restaurants. It is easy to get from this neighborhood to all of the major Parisian sights.

We definitely would stay at this apartment upon our return to Paris.

Simple elegance

  • 5 of 5

My husband, sister in law and myself shared this lovely apartment for a 5 night stay this October. We really enjoyed the comfort and ease of having our own kitchen, washer and dryer and beautifully appointed living space in the busy city of Paris. We used the dining room for our short term office and dining area; the wifi was excellent. The only issue we had was it was rather noisy in the morning (after 7am) on the street side. If you are fine with an early start to the day, the noise won't be an issue. The kitchen was equipped with everything we could possibly need and there was an excellent bakery a few doors down. The location is excellent in terms of transit, restaurants and sights. The owner was very friendly and met us when we arrived. She even stocked the fridge with cold drinks and left a delicious brioche. Enjoy Paris!

We absolutely loved this location, loved the apartment, and felt very welcomed and informed for our first trip to Paris. We will be back and hope to stay here again, and will absolutely recommend this to our friends.

The owners were so lovely upon our arrival, and the apartment is very well stocked for anything you may need.

Loved the neighborhood feel.

Thank you so much!!!
