Sun-drenched and pristine, the Nicoya Peninsula lies among Costa Ricas's northern Pacific coast. The region is known for its dazzling white-sand beaches and untouched tropical splendor. Rarely marked on maps, Playa Barrigona and Playa Buenavista are such a heaven of solitude and serenity that olive ridley sea turtles travel thousands of miles across the Pacific each year to lay their eggs on these beaches.
The nearby villages of Samara and Nosara offer quaint restaurants and shops, but peace and quiet are the hallmarks of this stunning estate.
'The reality surpasses the expectations of our dreams by far ...'
We are a family from Munich, Germany. Alexandra is a famous opera singer and Michael has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and works at BMW Group in Munich. Our son Martin also loves the natural paradise of Costa Rica.
We bought Casa la Palma de Samara and come at least twice a year to stay there. During other times of the year, we rent this house to other families. Our excellent property manager Axel helps us to keep the house well-maintained and clean.
Alexandra & Michael purchased this villa in 2014
Our family of four enjoyed spending our vacation at the house. The property manager Axel was super friendly, resourceful and responsive to any enquirers. The house was clean and very well maintained with all the amendments available for a comfortable stay. It is in a middle of jungles with a great view and amazing wild live all around. An unforgettable experience for us and particularly children.
We had a great stay at the property, it was as described and Axel was an awesome host. Our water went out and Axel was there within minutes diagnosing and correcting the problem. It was clean and well maintained. We had to make a few slight adjustments to our stay and the owner was very helpful and accommodating. I would recommend this property to my friends and family. When in town make sure to get tacos on the beach at Lo Que Hay
Everything you need to enjoy living on the top of a mountain is available at Casa la Palma. Two couples fit comfortably in this two bedroom, 2 bathroom house. The jungle is at your fingertips and bird watching is right there at your doorstep. Thank you to Axel for the care and attention you gave us during our stay.
We enjoyed every moment of our stay at that beautiful house
The grounds are amazing, the pool is great
Axel met us at Esterones and showed us the way to the property
He visited us every day, helped us with any questions and even bought for us fresh fish and shrimp , also got us coconuts from the trees
The house was well equipped with everything we needed
We had really great time !
It is a great house, very comfortable and the landscaping and pool are beautiful. I do not understand why it has no screens on the sliding glass doors to the patio or why the house had no blinds on any window. We were told that we would have internet access, but we never did and no call backs from the three people we called about it. We were also told there was a grounds keeper that would stop in every day. We never saw him. And a housekeeper, never saw her either. It was a fun and beautiful trip (we have been to Costa Rica four times) but very challenging. We have used VRBO for years with maybe a few glitches, but this was not up to standard.
We enjoyed our stay at the house very much. The house is well appointed and cared for. The grounds are beautifully landscaped with lots of mature trees and plants offering not only beauty everywhere you look, but also plenty of shade to relax in. The grassy backyard and pool with ocean view is the highlight of the property. It is very private, no neighbors in sight, no traffic going by the house, you feel very secluded and secure while there. The maintenance staff are very friendly. We would recommend this house for a great stay in Costa.
It is advisable to rent a 4 x 4.
