About The Owner

Our names are Pam and Glyn Davies and we live in North Delta, BC, Canada, just outside of Vancouver. We have been to Hawaii many times since 1980 and we love Maui the best. We especially love the Kihei area. When we visit Maui we love to scuba dive, snorkel, suntan, shop, relax and enjoy a nice BBQ by the pool for dinner. We have also found many good restaurants close by. Each time we come we try to add to or replace what is in the condo to make it comfortable for us and our guests. We have three children who love Maui as much as us.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2008

Why The Owner chose Maui

We chose Maui Banyan because of the close proximity to the beach. Being a ground level unit, it allows us to walk to the pool area from our Lanai which is great, especially when we BBQ. We think the Kamaole beaches are the nicest on the island and Kamaole II is just across the road from the Maui Banyan. Kihei is one of the driest parts of the Island so there is usually less rain in Kihei than other parts of the Island. The temperature doesn't change much during the year so we can still have a nice but to too hot vacation in the summer months if we have a rainy summer at home.

Extremely Satisfied Repeat Cusomter

  • 5 of 5

This my third time staying at this unit. I return because it's exactly what I need: a place to relax and get a peaceful night's sleep as I watch movie on Netflix, and tremendous access either by car or on foot to places I enjoy. I can walk to the beach (and I did sometimes twice daily), drive to other parts of the island, or simply read a book poolside. The owners are accessible and respond quickly to any questions I may have. The next trip starts with a call to these owners.

Very complete!

  • 5 of 5

We were unsure as to what to expect but were very happy when we arrived. The condo had EVERYTHING we needed for our stay, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, coolers, laundry, just everything. Probably more but I feel weird snooping around. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach the Cinnamon Roll shop down the street was a favorite too! Everything was very comfortable for our stay.

Great location, quiet end of town but everything was easily accessible. When not at the beach across the street we went to Makena, "Big Beach" spent most of our time there, go to the second parking lot, less crowded and a short walk to the beach.

Perfect Condo!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I took a vacation to Maui for a week. We have never been there, but if we were to return, this Condo would be our selection for sure. It felt like a home away from home, very comfortable. The condo is located approximately 1 block from Kamaole Beach II, so we walked to the beach each morning and evening. This was perfect because you are close enough to the beach, yet far away from the noise of traffic. Another plus is that it is on the ground floor, which makes taking luggage, groceries etc in much easier. The Condo itself is very nice. Kitchen has everything you would need. Bed is king size and comfortable. We enjoyed having 2 baths. It was hot when we were there so air conditioning was wonderful. I would not rent a condo without it. The condo had all the amenities for the beach, with beach chairs, towels, snorkel items, etc. It also has information in the condo regarding Maui and things to do, places to see. It is located close to restaurants and shops. Owner Pam was very easy to work with, very responsive when contacting her and she even called me prior to our visit to make sure I had all the information needed for the condo. Definitely a place we would return to.

Wonderful Condo in Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Pam's condo in Kihei was AMAZING. It far exceeded our expectations. The condo was very comfortable and fully stocked with anything we could possibly need for our 5 nights in Maui. The AC was great since it was unseasonably hot while we were there in September so it really helped to stay cool at night. I didn't think the 2nd bathroom was necessary when booking (we travelled as a couple) but it was actually really nice to have a 2nd shower so when we got home from the beach we both could shower immediately. We didn't use the kitchen too much, but it seemed fully stocked with anything you would need to cook. The condo has TONS of beach gear. Chairs, towels, boogie boards, snorkel gear, pool noodles, kid's toys. Way more than we could possibly use. The condo grounds are very lovely with flowers everywhere. We never had a chance to check out the pools (we wanted to be at the beach) but they seemed lovely and never too crowded. I also loved, loved, loved the town of Kihei. This was our first time in Maui and we wanted a central location where we could easily drive to other areas like The Road to Hana and Mt. Haleakala. There is a big beach right across the street where we watched a beautiful sunset. You are also just a short 10 minute drive from the famous Wailea Beach. Go a little farther south and check out Big Beach and Little Beach as well. Much different feel than Wailea since it's not lined with hotels, but it's beautiful and you won't be disappointed. There are also some great local restaurants (Coconuts Fish Café and Eskimo Candy) and the best shaved ice (Ululani's) just up the road. I would not hesitate to book this condo again and fear writing such a good review may make it unavailable when I want to book next year. Thanks Pam for such a great stay!
