About Randy Teinert

My wife and I moved to Minnesota in 1992, continued growing our family to 3 hard working boys that will someday take care of this place.

Randy Teinert purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Randy Teinert chose Minnesota

While on vacation to Lake Kabatogama we fell in love with the area, found a property that had been for sale for over 10 years, bought and started building our dream vacation home.

This is a guest house next to the main cabin, built to share with our friends and guest to enjoy as much as we have.

What makes this cabin unique

Lots of room with river and lake view from every window, very private.

Hello Randy

We wanted to thank-you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful guest home. It truly was gorgeous, we were fortunate to stay in such a wonderful home. The location was amazing our sledding was fantastic! Marilyn was very accommodating, she is such a kind person. We hope you will allow us to stay at your guest home again. We already would love to come back the weekend of March 10th. I will send a contact message via your web site. We also have friends that would like to come the first weekend in March and have asked that I give them your contact information, I will give them your web site info.

Th perfect lake vacation spot!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a week-long stay on Ash Lake, and it was awesome! Our group of ten included our own family of five (including two teens and one almost teen), my parents, my aunt, my brother, and our elderly grandpa. Everyone had fun fishing from the pontoon, hanging out at the cabin, and we even took a day trip up to Lake Kabetogama. I must say the fishing was much better on Ash Lake, and the privacy was second to none.

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is absolutely beautiful, it is equipped with everything you will need. The owners were wonderful they came and greeted us as soon as we pulled in. They were very accommodating, we brought along our wave runners and one broke down and we didn't bring the right tools with us and the owners were very gracious to let us use their tools.

The cabin and the property is just absolutely amazing, we have 2 little ones and did some fishing with them right off the dock and we couldn't bait the hooks fast enough, as soon as the pole went in they got a bite, the kids loved it!

One day while we were there was a thunderstorm so our plans for the day were ruined and I was nervous what we were going to do to keep a 2 and 6 year old entertained but the cabin had some leggos coloring books, card games and movies it was great! We would definitely come back again!

Very Nice Stay

  • 4 of 5

Our vacation rental was very clean and tidy with all of the comforts such as coffee maker and cooking items, bedding, towels etc. The owner (Randy) was there for a few days when we arrived and was more than accommodating. We used the pontoon for one day and that was very enjoyable and easy to use. We also took many long walks on the roads nearby with our two dogs. I would highly recommend staying here.

pictures do not do it justice

The cabin was very clean and beautiful. The owner was so friendly. The cabin was fully stocked and equipped with more than enough for our family to do. We had 5 kids with us and they never got bored. We decided to rent the kayak's at the last minute and the owner accommodated us. The pontoon was a great experience as well and ready for us to use. We had an unforgettable time, we will definitely be going back next year!

Guys fishing weekend

  • 5 of 5

This is a annual thing and we normally stay at elephant lake. This year we decided to try somewhere different. The owners were both nice people, the rental was excellent, and the fishing good. Couldn't ask for anything more. We'll be back.

Snowmobiling trip at Ash Lake

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is awesome. It was cozy and warm. The items supplied for the kitchen use were great. The washer and dryer we never used so I have no comment on them. The fireplace worked great. The grill outside was great also which we did use one night. The shower took awhile to get hot. The first night my daughter took a cold shower. Also we couldn't get the Dish satellite to work on the t.v., which ended up being ok since there were movies there to watch. An updated collection of movies would be great. Or next time we can remember to bring our own since it is hard to tell what each person likes to watch. The biggest downfall was we had no internet service. It didn't reach down to the cabin we stayed in. We do recommend this cabin to others and will probably stay again, maybe try summertime next. Thanks!
