Why Kat Gray chose West Woodstock
Woodstock Vermont is the perfect Vermont small town. We've lived here for over 20 years and no matter where we travel it's always a pleasure to come home here. Woodstock is known for its wonderful restaurants, boutique shopping and the arts. Fall foliage season is always stunning in Vermont and of course world class skiing at Killington resort and local Suicide Six. Horseback riding at GMHA, golf, antiquing, great mountain biking and hiking trails are all part of the appeal of this wonderful region. Voted 'the prettiest town in Vermont' Woodstock is truly a special place. Visit Marsh-Billings National Park, take a short drive to nearby Quechee to hike Quechee Gorge, Golf at famous Quechee Lakes resort or enjoy a great meal and glassblowing at Simon Pearce or one of the many great restaurants in our region. We love it here, and you will too!

Everything we wanted!
The Dana Road house was our home base for a three week stay while visiting our family in Woodstock. It was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. The house was clean, well furnished, the kitchen had everything we needed to cook lots of family meals and the bathroom amenities were on point. We enjoyed playing in the spacious yard (especially during the random thunder storms), the outdoor fireplace, and the soaking tub. Location is excellent! Communication with Kat was always a breeze - she is darling and attentive. We plan to return to Vermont for many summers to come and would love for the Dana Road house to be our "home away from home".
Perfect Vermont Retreat
Our family enjoyed a fabulous vacation in Woodstock at this property. The home was well appointed and exactly as it was described VRBO. We especially enjoyed the patio, size of the rooms and comfortable furniture. Our daughter was showing at GMHA and the house was conveniently located. Loved everything about this property, especially the owners horses who greeted us in the morning. We look forward to returning soon!
The property was great and Kat & Matt were wonderful to work with and very helpful! Thank you for a great week. The property allowed us to catch up with family which is important to us. We had everything we needed and hope to use the property again in the future.
Idyllic Vermont Retreat
Right from the start, we felt welcomed, relaxed and comfortable. Kat was there to meet and greet us — and had the hot tub ready! [We drove from Cleveland and were absolutely looking for a soaking reprieve.]
This home and property are simply perfect. Everything you might need is provided — and wonderfully so. Truly. We felt like royalty.
We were in Vermont for a family reunion near Norwich. My son wanted to reconnect with a retired professor from Marlboro College and Morrisville friends came to visit us. The location served us well.
Worthy Kitchen — with Prosecco on tap! Long Trail Brewing — with a beautiful riverside setting that found patrons wading in the water whilst awaiting their seating. Billings Farm & Museum proved to be very interesting (and if you’re fond of the horses on Kat’s property, then you’ll likely fall for the playful, young calves). Nearby Eshqua Bog was beautiful. And an afternoon bike ride rounded out our fun.
Despite decades in NE Ohio, I continue to call Vermont “home”. Kat’s Dana Rd property simply underscored that sentiment. It was a great five days. If you’re considering this home for a vacation rental, you’ll not be disappointed!
Most Relaxing Weekend EVER!
Cozy doesn't describe it. From the minute we opened the door we felt pampered which is just what we needed for our Mom's escape. Toasty warm, comfortable couches and beds, warm blankets, well stocked kitchen, a hot tub and friendly horses. To be honest, we were so cozy that we found it hard to go out to do things. Our new saying is, "We want more Dana Road."
Great location, all the comforts of home
This lovely home was perfect for a family of 6. Mt Killington is half an hour away and the Woodstock Touring Center is less than 10 minutes. We enjoyed family meals in the morning and evening and relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day. Our thanks to Kat and Matt.
Dana Road House is located less than two miles from the picturesque village of Woodstock, Vermont. Skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming, tennis, golf, horseback riding and Woodstock's quaint shops and restaurants are only minutes away. Just 20 min. drive to Killington Ski Area's Skyeship base, close to Green Mountain Horse Association (GMHA) too. We have outstanding single-track biking trail network just behind the house.
To quote the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce: 'Everything you love about Vermont describes this quaint village that has been called 'the prettiest small town in America'. First settled in 1768, Woodstock retains the elegant charm and rugged character of American antiquity. With a covered bridge in the middle of town, and stately homes surrounding the village green, it is easy to see why Woodstock has been called the 'quintessential New England village'. You will be greeted with traditional New England hospitality in our unique shops and galleries, artisan studios, country stores and fine restaurants minutes away.'
Other Activities: Snowboarding, hiking, biking, shopping, fine dining.
Ski: Just 20 minutes to Killington's Skyeship and Bear Mountain peak via US route 4. Convenient to the slopes and all that beautiful Woodstock Village has to offer - fine dining, shops and the arts. Also nearby Woodstock's own Suicide Six ski area, a great family ski mountain managed by the Woodstock Inn. Our hot tub to thaw you out after your day on the slopes and a cozy wood stove in the sun-room. For a great night's sleep, deep, soft beds for 6 guests. Perfect!
