Modern vacation home with panaroma views of the sea and untouched nature
This house was designed by a Gothenburg architect with the aim of integrating the building as much as possible in the untouched natural surroundings. Large window fronts were installed to achieve this, providing spectacular views of the sea and nature. The house is the last building at the end of a private road. The property spills into the untouched landscape – there is no planted garden around the property, rather you are literally in the midst of nature. A small path leads to the cliffs with a beautiful bathing spot. This holiday home breaks with the traditional Scandinavian summer cottage, both in terms of architecture and interior design. The property has been featured in several publications.
The interior follows an open plan concept, all spaces are visually connected and only the bedrooms and bathrooms are separated by doors. The main spaces (living room, dining room, kitchen, studio) have full view of the sea; the bedrooms all have partial views of the sea. The house was built in 2007 and features many comforts, such as floor heating. The floors are kept in wood in all main rooms, while the kitchen and bathrooms feature black schist.
The property is ~35 km south of Gothenburg and ~10 km south of Säro. Lerkil with its beautiful harbor is a short walk away (800m). Kungsbacka is about 10 km and offers large supermarkets and other shopping facilities. Gothenburg airport is about 40 minutes by car.
The generous living room with spectacular views of the sea is the center of the house. It features a fire place and entertainment equipment. Adjacent to the living room there is the open plan kitchen and dining area and a large window front opens onto the terrace, which was built into the rock walls. The kitchen features a gas stove and many other modern amenities. The bedrooms are located at the back of the building, as is the spacious studio with a large skylights. The studio can be used as an additional bedroom (bed-sofa for two). There are 2 modern bathrooms and a garage.
The house is located at the end of a private road with about 30 properties in the vicinity. A small path leads from the property to the cliffs where you can swim. A ladder has been installed for easy access. The swimming spot is used by other residents. There are several other beaches in the vicinity including one with shallow access for small children.
Vallda Sandö, a beautiful nature reserve, is about 3 km from the house. There you find large swathes of untouched nature and additional beaches. There are several golf courses in a radius of 20 km. You can reach Gothenburg downtown in 30-40 minutes by car.

We're a family with 2 small children - we all love this house very much. We live abroad and so we want others - family, friends and other guests - to enjoy this place as much as we do.
Carlsson purchased this House in 2012
Why Carlsson chose Kungsbacka Municipality

What makes this House unique
This was originally built as a permanent family home so it offers comfort and amenities not typical of summer cottages in the region.
