Peaceful and Secluded mountain cabin with unforgetable Views

Bedrooms 2
Space 1,200 sq. ft.
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 3 - 4 nights

About the property

Mountain views in the front and back.

Our cabin has 2 bedrooms and two full baths. Bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the house which provides the utmost privacy for each visitor. Both bedrooms have a king size bed with pillow-top mattresses that make for a good night's rest. Each has a TV. One bedroom is

decorated with a Bear theme and the other with a deer theme. There is a carport for your car and a deck that goes from the carport to the rear of the cabin where the covered porch is located. On the covered porch there are rocking chairs and a table and chairs for eating outdoors, plus an outdoor propane heater for those chilly days/evenings. The hot tub is also located in this area. There are neighbors on each side, but not too close. We cannot see neighbors while sitting on the back porch or sitting in the hot tub, and they cannot see us. You will never have to get out in the rain while staying at our cabin. From the carport you can go directly into the house or take the deck around to the back. From the house you can go directly onto the covered rear porch. No muddy feet or climbing steps at this cabin.

Our kitchen is fully equipped. The dining area provides seating for 7, our great room has a fireplace with gas logs and a 56' wide screen TV. Regardless of the weather at this cabin you can enjoy the outside views thru our 6 foot by 8 foot picture window.

About Connie Vowell

My wife and I live in Maryville TN. When we first looked at this cabin, we knew that we could turn it into a great cabin for people to come to and enjoy. We take great pride in keeping it clean and a desirable place to visit. Be sure and read the review and comments that our previous visitors have made.

Connie Vowell purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Connie Vowell chose Sevierville

It is the perfect setting - Up high enough to have a great view but not too high. Not very many people can say that they have a view from both the front and back of their cabin. It is in the middle of all the sites that a person will want to see. It is hard to get much closer to the entrance to the park and all the hiking trails.

What makes this cabin unique

1. Peaceful

2. Private

All I could ever had hoped for and more..

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we walked in the cabin, I knew I made the right choice. Everything you would ever need, except food. They have it stocked. Excellent pot, pans an skillets, nice comfy couches, big open living room an a huge TV to mounted on the wall. Beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in outside of my own. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute we had there. And especially enjoyed the bear we had come up on the porch last 3 nights we were there. Guess he smelled my ribeyes and porterhouses, but I wasn't sharing with him. But it was nice to be so close to a bear, it topped my week off. I definitely plan and hope to enjoy this peace of heaven for many years to come. I'm in love with it. Do don't hesitate, and book this room. You will not regret it. Thanks to the host. Yall have a beautiful well maintained cabin. See Yall soon....

We have stayed here in the past and love the layout and upgrades of this cabin.

No water at day three and offensive odor from bear bedroom and bathroom. Had to move to another cabin in the rain. Found out both issues existed before our stay and wondered why the cabin was rented out knowing there were problems. Would love to rent again if issues were guaranteed to be resolved. Owners were nice and made arrangements for us to move but was a great inconvenience during our short vacation.

Owner's Response: We are sorry your visit to our cabin did not meet your expectations. We did everything we could to resolve the situation(s). The water issue was not exclusive to our cabin. There were 7 cabins affected by the problem. There was a leak in the line down the hill. We were told it was repaired or we would not have had someone come in just to have to move them out. Three days after we were told the problem was resolved, it reappeared. Apparently another break was found in the line further down the hill. Thankfully we were able to find a nice place within about a mile for you to stay. As for the odor, we had tried to find the source and had not been able to. However, the prior guests said it was not a real problem, certainly not enough to ruin their stay. They even asked to extend their stay. Both issues have been resolved. The water is working fine. We had a contractor come tear out a wall, and a dead animal was found. It has been removed and the odor is gone. We do everything we can to allow our guests a problem-free visit. Occasionally things beyond our control do happen. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that they will not happen again. Water lines do freeze and break. The weather is out of our control. And the mountains are full of critters that might get in a building, and are sometimes difficult to locate.

Peaceful and cozy

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our three day stay over New Years. Do not try to go there in the dark your first time because the road is very winding and you could take a wrong turn but after our first drive, we were very comfortable finding it again. Of course it being so far up the mountain is what makes it a Peace of Heaven! It is wonderful to have a covered carport and also everything on one floor. I have rented cabins many times in the past and being able to go directly from the car into the cabin with cover and having the bedrooms on the same floor is rare. Everything we needed was in the cabin and I loved the sofa and recliners. Happy New Year!

Owner's Response: I want to thank you for such a kind review. We enjoyed having you. During this guest's stay we had an odor appear which we could not locate the source for. We feel it is probably an animal that has gotten somewhere in the cabin, possibly in a wall, and died. This guest was especially nice about it - said she smelled it but it was certainly not enough to ruin her stay. She actually requested to extend her stay. Unfortunately when you are located in the woods things like this are bound to happen from time to time, and they are out of our control. Last year we had a possum crawl up under the cabin and die. Luckily we were able to find it and get rid of it. Thanks again to a guest who was very easy to work with, and was nothing but kind, even when the odor kept things from being perfect!
