Overview

Tennessee Cabin Rental Photos and Description

Mountain views in the front and back.

Our cabin has 2 bedrooms and two full baths. Bedrooms are located on opposite sides of the house which provides the utmost privacy for each visitor. Both bedrooms have a king size bed with pillow-top mattresses that make for a good night's rest. Each has a TV. One bedroom is

decorated with a Bear theme and the other with a deer theme. There is a carport for your car and a deck that goes from the carport to the rear of the cabin where the covered porch is located. On the covered porch there are rocking chairs and a table and chairs for eating outdoors, plus an outdoor propane heater for those chilly days/evenings. The hot tub is also located in this area. There are neighbors on each side, but not too close. We cannot see neighbors while sitting on the back porch or sitting in the hot tub, and they cannot see us. You will never have to get out in the rain while staying at our cabin. From the carport you can go directly into the house or take the deck around to the back. From the house you can go directly onto the covered rear porch. No muddy feet or climbing steps at this cabin.

LOCATION!!!LOCATION!!: We are located in the center of all the attactions. 3 Miles from the park entrance at Metcalf Bottoms via Lyon Springs Rd., 15 Miles to Cades Cove thru the park, 15 miles to Gatlinburg thru, 9 miles from Pigeon Forge via 321 and 6 miles to Townsend via Hwy. 321.

Our kitchen is fully equipped. The dining area provides seating for 7, our great room has a fireplace with gas logs and a 56' wide screen TV. Regardless of the weather at this cabin you can enjoy the outside views thru our 6 foot by 8 foot picture window.

About Connie Vowell

My wife and I live in Maryville TN. When we first looked at this cabin, we knew that we could turn it into a great cabin for people to come to and enjoy. We take great pride in keeping it clean and a desirable place to visit. Be sure and read the review and comments that our previous visitors have made.

Connie Vowell purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Connie Vowell chose Tennessee

It is the perfect setting - Up high enough to have a great view but not too high. Not very many people can say that they have a view from both the front and back of their cabin. It is in the middle of all the sites that a person will want to see. It is hard to get much closer to the entrance to the park and all the hiking trails.

What makes this cabin unique

Lovely and Amazing!!

  • 5 of 5

This vacation rental was exactly as they described and more. It was very clean, and loved the layout of the entire house. It is not meant for large groups, but we had five in our group and were very comfortable! We enjoyed there being a hot tub and it was clean and well maintained, and while relaxing in hot tub you had a great view. The porch was nice, spacious, and offered plenty of seating. We were very amazed at how well equipped the kitchen was. I cant think of a single thing we needed that they did not have for your use. There was also plenty of linen available. We read in the guests books that others had spotted bears on their trip, we however did not see one on this trip but there was evidence that one had come up during the night. Maybe next time we will spot one because we will definitely be returning to this house to stay. I do recommend this rental to couples or small groups. We have had some mediocre vacation rentals in the past, but I would not use that term for this home. While we were there we traveled and visited Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Seiverville. It was within a decent distance of all. I don't think even with heavy traffic and a Holiday week that it took more than 30 minutes to reach our destination, and there is so much to do in all of these areas. I recommend Dollywood (Pigeon Forge) it's amazing! Gatlinburg is great for couples or groups, and Kids will enjoy as well and their Ripley's Aquarium is one of the nicest ones I have been too. My 6 year old niece loved it! If you like History, The Titanic Museum (Pigeon Forge) contained way more than I expected it to. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting there. Its about 2 hours long to view all the rooms and areas of the Museum. I can't imagine why anyone would regret choosing to stay here, I know I dont! Just Simply Loved It!! Thank you Connie and Ralph for opening your House up for others to Enjoy!!

Owner's Response: What more can I say? You have described everything wonderfully! It is a pleasure to have guests who definitely try to take in everything the area has to offer then come back and enjoy this home away from home. It sounds like you did just that, and reviews like this one can be a help to others who may be trying to decide where to stay and what to do while in the area. Thank you! Please come again. PEACE OF HEAVEN

  • 5 of 5

Peace of Heaven says it all! The pictures online do not do this home justice! It was stepping into a home away from home. Mrs. Connie went out of her way to be accommodating & it was a wonderful experience. Will definitely be back!

Peace of Heaven is the perfect name for this cabin.

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at peace of heaven , the cabin was clean with a nice view of the mountains and the beds were comfortable .

what we really enjoyed was the open floor plan of cabin , no stairs too climb just pull under carport and walk right in,real simple and convenient

be warned for first timers in the mountains the drive up is steep but after a few times you will get use too it, after vacationing in pigeon forge for over twenty years we would differently stay at peace of heaven again .

Owner's Response: We are glad that you enjoyed your visit and stay in our cabin. It's good to know that you would like to return, and do hope that you will. We are assuming that the 4 star review instead of 5 has to do with the road leading up to the cabin, and of course we can't change that. That is just part of being in the mountains. Thank you for choosing to stay in our Peace of Heaven in the Mountains! Connie & Ralph Vowell

The cabin was great, decorated nicely, comfortable, and just what we were looking for.

  • 5 of 5

Loved not only the cabin but the location. The views were great, the privacy was especially appreciated and conducive to needed relaxation, and the overall stay could not have been better. We can say it all in that we hope to return to the "Peace of Heaven" when again we need a rest and choose the Smoky Mountains for the purpose. We love the area and the easy access to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cades Cove, etc.

Owner's Response: We are glad that the cabin proved to serve your need for restoration from your busy lives. I'm pleased that you were happy with it. The setting is certainly a peaceful one, and we agree that the location is a really convenient one, away from all the hustle and bustle of the area, but not too far away to get there when you want to. Thank you for choosing to stay at our Peace of Heaven again, and please come back. Connie & Ralph Vowell
