Paul an I love New Olreans. We were born and raised here. We have 4 wonderful children and we have fostered 6 amazing children. This home is our family home, we lived here until Hurricane Katrina. Paul is an Architect, It He spent 5 exhausting years renovating this diamond in the rough! This home has some much heart in it!! We also had to re-renovate the home after hurricane Katrina in 2005. Why Jami Dimitrios- Prestige Properties Of La LLC chose New Orleans

We chose to turn it into a vacation rental only because we just love the historic and comforting feel of this 150 year old home. Our family LOVES IT! We enjoy sharing this wonderful home with travelers who want to visit what new orleans has to offer. We grateful and blessed that everyone that steps foot into the home loves it too! Come visit us, We know you will love it!

What makes this house unique

I know you will enjoy the architecture this home has to offer. The floor to ceiling windows in the front of the house are devine. The dormers windows upstairs are 100 years older than the actual home, they are wonderful. Relaxing on the swing on the front porch is my favorite.

The house is wonderful. We had family and friends in and it was great to have a home base. Easy access to the French Quarter. Enjoyed the house quite a bit!

Beautiful Historic Home!

  • 5 of 5

We were impressed by this home. It's a beautifully restored home with all the charm I was hoping for. The home was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We loved having a completely fenced yard so the kids could play outside (bring insect repellent for mosquitoes). There are interesting historical markers if you take the time to walk around a little. We also walked down to the Mississippi river to watch the boats!

The home had most everything in it that we needed to cook a few meals at the house. Loved the front porch swing. As far as the area goes, getting to the home.... The neighborhoods were questionable. However, once you got back to this house, the homes were lovely and most were maintained. We didn't feel unsafe at any point. We even met a few neighbors and they were nice. If you have never been to NOLA before, it's important to note that the areas vary greatly from street to street . This area was quiet and enjoyable. Close enough to the French quarter (15-20min) and far enough away to get some sleep.

Check in and out was easy. Thank you for an easy stay!

Very warm and family style home.

  • 5 of 5

A wonderful home to share the 50th anniversary of my parents with my 3 siblings. Do not let the location scare you from taking advantage of this great rental. A hidden gem in the NOLA area. We will be back. Thank you, the Broussard.

Great experience

  • 5 of 5

A great place to stay. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was clean with plenty of linens and kitchen ware. The back garden of the house was a great place to relax and have a few drinks after a long day at work. The owner of the property is great and we would definitely recommend staying there.

Holiday Weekend in Arabi

  • 3 of 5

Spent four nights in this beautiful home in Arabi. It is in a great location--close to the French Quarter, but far enough away to have some peace and quiet. The home has been remodeled, but some basic maintenance needs to be done. For example, wooden trim in doorways is loose, many paint smudges on walls from past renters, curtains in living area are just cut pieces of sheer fabric (cut crookedly), and curtain rods in master bedroom upstairs are broken and set on window halfway down allowing streetlight to shine directly into the bedroom at night. What the house needs is a little T-L-C. New pillows would be great as well as more towel racks, hooks and hangers. Lighting in the bedrooms is dim with some bedside lamps not functional at all. New hairdryers would help as well, as one did not work at all (after trying a few different outlets---a couple of those didn't work either.) The WIFI that is advertised did not work at all. The owner was contacted, but the method she shared to try to fix the problem did not work. Hence, we did not have WIFI the entire stay.

In spite of the flaws we found (hope we weren't too picky), this was a lovely place to stay. The front and back porches were great for my family - we spent many hours on one or the other to have coffee or cocktails. (A few more chairs would be a Godsend.) The kitchen is outfitted with great appliances and an ice machine (much needed in my family.) The neighborhood is lovely; we walked down to the levee and watched the ships and steamboats go by one evening. As mentioned earlier, this is a good rental that could be great with a little more T-L-C.

Perfect in all ways!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a large family group meeting in New Orleans (18 of us!) so we rented this one and another unit only a couple of blocks away. Both units were more than promised and Jaime is the perfect person to rent from! She handled both units for us and it could not have worked out better! This one is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. (As was the other unit we rented from her!) Everything was perfect! The house is clean, roomy, and comfortable! Try it, you'll like it!! Thanks again, Jaime!! You made our vacation wonderful!!
