Hudson Valley Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms. sleeps 10. rents by weekend or longer -NO DAILY RATES

Come enjoy our lovely 250 yr old stone house situated overlooking 10 spectacular acres off a lovely country road in the township of Accord. Just a 2 hour drive from NYC and 15 minute drive from the village of Stone Ridge. READ RATES: I have weekend, weekly, and monthly rates - the calculated rates homeaway gives are not accurate. ask me rate or see the rate section for actual rates.

The house has loads of historic, rustic charm with all the amenities you could want: Wifi, cable, netflix streaming content, large screen tv's, full kitchen, stereo, DVD. 2 living rooms, one with two new convertible fold out couches.

The property has a large swimming pond (clean, deep, with row boat) with screened in deck house and diving pier surrounded by sprawling lawns, barns and acres of nature, a secluded tennis court with autoserver and basketball hoop. Recently added great trampoline which the kids love, in an inconspicuous spot near stream with hammock.

An ideal getaway for families or friends with so many activities you may never want to leave.

Magical

  • 5 of 5

While looking at the pictures, I knew it was going to be a lovely weekend in the Catskills but little did I know how magical the whole experience would be. The home is so well kept in it's original fabrication, it's like stepping back in time (with heat and running water). As someone who loves history, this was absolutely amazing and watching my 6'5'' husband walk through the original doorways was well worth the drive from Brooklyn. The original floorboards, the fireplace, the kitchen - it was all so great and Darwin was extremely helpful. I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

We keep coming back!

  • 5 of 5

We love this house and the surrounding area! My extended family and I come back every summer. The historic home is rustic but very charming and accomodates us all. I'm a writer who's worked on several book projects during my time there - the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The owner is great about communicating and the area has a fantastic vibe -- rural but with plenty of amenities and activities.

Our favorite summer retreat

  • 5 of 5

My extended family has been renting this house for our end of summer getaway for several years now, and we'll be back for as long as Darwin will have us! The space is well-suited for a large family and sometime guests, well-appointed, and replete with historic details (but cozy and charming)! The grounds are gorgeous and the area has a great rural vibe but with plenty of activities and amenities. We love it!

Wonderfully rustic!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for a weekend in March. It's an old house farmhouse but thats why we picked it and found the some of the quirky things that go along with it (creaky floor boards/tricky staircases) a novelty. We spent most of our time in the kitchen and living room where there's an open floor plan perfect for socializing. Because of the cold we couldnt take much advantage of the outdoors however, it was all at our fingertips. The house had everything we needed - towels/sheets/kitchenware. Darwin was responsive and detailed in communications/instructions. Thanks Darwin!

Exactly what we hoped for

  • 4 of 5

We stayed there for easter weekend and had a great time. The main great room is perfect for family gatherings, or a group of friends with its open kitchen. The place is rustic, but cozy and kitchen is well equipped. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. The property is beautifull and was great for an egg hunt. Must be even greater in the summer time with the pond, sun deck and tennis court. The kids didn't want to leave! Hope we will go back!

Beautiful rustic farmhouse

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for a long weekend in early December, and had best time. It's a very old house with some of the quirky things that go along with it (creaky floor boards/tricky staircases) but for anyone who's comfortable in a setting like that, we found it to be perfect! The kitchen and living room have a wide open floor plan which makes it perfect for socializing. There's a second living room right off the kitchen if the kids feel like watching movies while everyone else is enjoying the fireplace. A big trampoline outside on which my kids spent hours bouncing, and plenty of sleeping space for people to spread out. Overall, it couldn't have been better! Thanks Darwin!
