About the property

2 bedroom, 2 bathroom (sleeps 6)

You will find the condo extremely comfortable and luxuriously furnished along with a view that will take your breath away! There are 2 large bedrooms (King in Master, 2 singles that can be combined in second bedroom) and 2 full baths along with a spacious living area (with queen size sofa bed) that opens onto a huge patio running the length of the apartment overlooking the Pacific and rainforest for gorgeous sunsets and watching the wildlife around. It is wonderful outdoor space for dining and relaxing.

The apartment has all modern conveniences including wireless internet (Free WiFi) and cable flat screen TV. The kitchen is well equipped and ideal for somebody who enjoys to cook. With just 10 units, the building is very well managed and maintained receiving rave reviews in our guestbook. Concierge service is provided during your stay.

About Steve

A guy who has a passion for travel and exploring what this planet has to offer.

Steve purchased this condo in 2007

Why Steve chose Manuel Antonio

First visit to Costs Rica in 98 and fell in love with its magic right away. Returned nearly every year exploring different places but always included a week in Manuel Antonio. Perfect mix of natural beauty with the right amount of things to do and places to eat.

Never had any intention of buying property in Costa Rica until a good friend of mine who lectures in architecture in San Jose told me about this place. He said it was AMAZING! Went down to look and my jaws dropped when I saw the spectacular view and the quality of the construction and features. The rest is history....

What makes this condo unique

The condo is positioned such that you get a spectacular view facing west over the Pacific Ocean (horizon is 35 miles away ) and close to tree top level for great animal and bird watching.

Unlike most condos it is furnished and equipped as I would want my home to be.

Plan to spend very little time indoors, however, because the best place is the patio/balcony. My favorite times are just as the sun rises or sets.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is not a hotel. These are big beautiful 2 & 3 bedroom condos.I think 10 units total. Our's had a fully equipped kitchen (even a juicer & fondue set). We only had breakfast in the the condo, lunch and dinner we walked to nearby restaurants. There are 3 grocery stores within a 5 min. walk & a 5 min. cab ride to the Park or beach.

There is a small pool & deck, we ran into 3 other guests once. The balconies are huge with great loungers overlooking jungle and the ocean. Fantastic sunsets!

The 2 front desk managers were incredibly helpful & professional.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Manuel Antonio.

Sloths monkeys,to cans and macaws just off our terrace!

  • 5 of 5

This was a totally positive experience both in this area of of Costa Rica and in our stay at the Pacifico Colonial.

Our accommodation was beautiful and very comfortable. It was very tastefully decorated and extremely well equipped. The property managers,Stephanie and Melissa were very welcoming and helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Any small problems that we encountered were quickly solved.

This condo is in a fabulous location, high on a hill between the town of Quepos and Manual Antonio Park. There are many restaurants in very close proximity and a number of super markets( actually quite small but they have the items you would need for a vacation in a condo). The building is also secure with a locked gated entrance . There is a pool and although it was small, it was very clean and certainly adequate for us to cool off after a hot trek through the park.

We spent a lot of time on our huge terrace with comfortable furniture and an unsurpassed view over the rainforest out to the ocean . We were thrilled to see sloths and monkeys in the tree just off our terrace and also beautiful bird life including Macaws that flew by each morning.

I would definitely recommend the Pacifico Colonial to anyone spending more than a few days in the area and hope that we can return again soon!

Savage, MN

for the most part -- excellent!

  • 4 of 5

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this second-floor condo. The views were amazing. Nearly every day we saw a huge variety of unique wildlife including macaws, parakeets, 3 species of monkeys, close encounters with sloths, etc. The condo is VERY conveniently located near some excellent restaurants. It is also a 15-minute walk to two amazing beaches. Red taxis frequent the road in front of the condo, so it was easy to get to the park. Also the driver from the airport (Abraham) was exceptional -- very prompt and professional.

The only two drawbacks were some road noise from loud vehicles on the road in front, but we quickly tuned them out. More problematic was the staff at the 24-hour concierge desk. Their level of helpfulness was very spotty. At its worst, they were indifferent and unresponsive; it was almost like we were interrupting them from more important work. As an example, the AC in our unit went out and they were kind enough to move us to another unit, but I had to keep asking if they were going to fix the unit or whether we should permanently move to the other unit. I'm not asking for the Ritz, just some common courtesy.

That said, I would definitely return and ask specifically for this unit. It was very comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. Thank you.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and comments and glad to hear that you would definitely return! I was taken back by your comment about the concierge service as this is the very first time I've heard anything negative in all the years of renting the condo. As you can see from other reviews they get top notch marks. I sincerely apologize for this and will of course pass this along to the property manager. Being on the 'golden mile" close to restaurants, bank, supermarket etc does mean that there is some traffic noise at times but particularly at night its usually very quiet. Steve - Owner

Beautiful condo, walk to everything, awesome view

  • 5 of 5

This two bedroom condo has an entire wall of windows looking over the pacific ocean and leading out to a huge second outside living and dining room. We walked to everything including both the public and private beaches, Manuel Antonio park, and all of the restaurants we wanted to go to. The concierge is very helpful and arranges anything you want to do, and since they live here, they set you up with the best tours and guides. We asked a lot of questions and always got helpful answers. We were here in the "rainy" season but had lots of sun everyday and no crowds anywhere. October is a great month to visit.
