Dogs love it.

  • 5 of 5

When traveling with dogs it is nice to find a dog-friendly place that us humans like too. First thing in the studio, Caroline pulled a quilt out of the closet for us to place over the sofa, where our two small dogs made themselves right at home. Based on other reviews, I was concerned about Caroline's dogs and I agree they were often underfoot while we were outside but they were friendly, never barked or growled at us or our dogs, and like others wrote, you get used to their welcoming. We thought the firm bed was very comfortable and the towels were numerous and nice. As for the location, we found it perfect for our needs. We have been in the area enough to not need to be close to the Plaza as we like to explore towns, pueblos and parks in the area around Santa Fe. It is easy to get into town or hop on 599 travel to north, south, and west. And for dog lovers, close to Frank Ortiz Dog Park. We would love to stay at Caroline's again if timing works out.

This is a side note of some suggestions I make to most owners is: don't over do things, leave room for guests stuff in the closet, kitchen, and bathroom, consider extra empty shelves, table tops, and hooks. And something I need to do as a guest is mention food and frangrance sensitivities.

Cozy and tranquil!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed a Santa Fe getaway recently at Caroline's cozy casita. She is a great hostess, anticipating the needs of her guests. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The cupboards and refrigerator were stocked with breakfast necessities and we enjoyed fresh fruit from the bowl on the table. Plenty of wood was available for a fire each night, and Caroline even prepared the fire so we just needed to strike a match. Access to town was easy and quick. All in all, a great stay, and we will be back.

Great location and views. Comfortable. Pet friendly.

  • 5 of 5

Caroline was a great host to us. She met us and showed us around. We met her dogs who got along with our little guy. There was breakfast items in the refridge and fresh fruit on the table. We were there for a family Christmas gathering so we're gone a lot. The location was easy for us to go to town or to my sisters home. The space was clean and cozy with everything we needed. Thanks much Caroline. We would stay again!

Cozy and convenient!

  • 5 of 5

This was a gem of a find. We decided to make a last minute trip to Santa Fe and most hotels and B&Bs were sold out or were charging exorbitant holiday fees. Finding Caroline's place available and at a VERY reasonable $70/night was amazing. All the reviews are right on - the space is laid out very well and you have everything you could need. The location is about 15 minutes out of downtown, which makes it very close but you also feel pretty secluded out there. It's quiet and you can see the stars! Caroline was extremely helpful with recommendations and feedback on our sightseeing, and there are a plethora of resource books available in the unit if you need inspiration!

The only thing that was less than perfect for me was the very firm bed. That's just a personal preference though. The linens on the bed are luxurious! So soft and warm, but I just don't do well with super firm mattresses so I didn't get the best sleep ever.

Even so, we plan on coming back in the summer to see Santa Fe again and will first look to see if this spot is available. It's really that good!

Comfrtable, romantic, great value, attention to details!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful place for three days right before Christmas. We hated to leave, as this cozy little isolated retreat is just what the doctor ordered for our Santa Fe visit. Situated in a nice rural neighborhood a short drive from DT Santa Fe, it is the best deal by far in the region. Caroline was very gracious about our late arrival, after we hit two road closures in Arizona. She sets the example about thoughtful appointments and details for her guests, and I know, I am a host. see vrbo.com/686689 The fireplace, already loaded with kindling and wood, was really nice and the candles on the mantel added a romantic touch. The bed is very comfortable, with ample pillows. There was even a bowl of fresh fruit waiting. This is an exceptional place to stay for those that want to get away from the crowds.

Wonderful studio!

  • 5 of 5

Caroline's studio is lovely and bright. It has all you could ever want in modern kitchen and bath supplies, tv, books, movies and area maps, and a fireplace. Although somewhat secluded, this serene country setting is only 6 easy miles into town! We were welcomed by 3 sweet dogs, a fridge stocked with breakfast food, a bowl of fruit on the table and fresh flowers. The sunrise views from the bed or the outside portal are amazing! There are beautiful mountain views all around. We loved staying here and will definitely return. Thank you Caroline for everything!
