Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our stay at Seahorse Crossing in Holmes Beach. It was hard to leave this comfortable and conveniently located cottage. It has everything you need, a modern kitchen, two great bedrooms, a living room with leather couches, a big tv and best of all a wonderful screened in lanai to sit and read or watch the world go by.

Holmes Beach is wonderfully located close to both bridges and easy walking distance to a mall with drug stores, grocery, hardware, restaurants and a liquor store.

The cottage has wonderful curb appeal and many people slowed down in their cars or stopped on their walks to the beach to admire the property.

There is a minimal walk to the beach and plenty of beach toys in the back storage. Many windows flood the cottage with light. You will hate to leave too!

Sea horse crossing

Our time there was terrific! Loved the porch. Beds were comfortable. Liked being close to both Walgreens and the beach. Plan to return next December. Elle and Bob were great to deal with.

Owner's Response: Joseph, Thank you for taking the time to review SeaHorse Crossing, we’re glad you had a terrific time at our home! We also love being just steps to the beach and still walking distance to many conveniences. We are lucky to have Ellie, Bob and Suzanne looking after our home and taking care of our guests. We look forward to having you back in December!

We had the pleasure of staying at Sea Horse Crossing for almost 2 months and it was the best 2 months that we can remember. The cottage is perfect in every way and the screened-in porch is perfect for after the sun goes down and early morning coffee and the paper. We had bikes the whole time we were down there and it made seeing the entire island so pleasurable. The cottage is stocked for every need possible, beach equipment, beach towels, the kitchen for cooking. The little side street (31st St) is so quiet, yet we met so many people from all over the world, it was SO MUCH FUN. I would highly, highly recommend this place to anyone, whether it be a couple looking for romance or a family of 4 looking for a perfect vacation. The beach is just steps from the house, large Publix, coffee shop, Walgreens with great liquor store all within walking distance and there are so many restaurants you'll never visit them all, though we tried and they were all great! We recommend Skinny's for a burger and $2 frosted beer, Beach Bistro and Bridge St. Bistro for fancy dining ($$), the Sandbar for dining outdoors at the beach, Harry's for apps and a drink, Island Gourmet Grill and Scott's Deli for delivery and if you go into Sarasota, The Blue Rooster for soul food and live blues music is a blast. This place is perfect and I'd give anything to live there full time.

Owner's Response: Nanci C, Thank you for taking the time to review SeaHorse Crossing, I’m happy that you enjoy staying here so much! I couldn’t have described our cottage any better than you just did. We also love the screened in porch and have met many wonderful people strolling by on their way to the beach. You have so many great recommendations and I have enjoyed them all except for the Blue Rooster which I will now put on my places to try out list. We truly appreciate our returning guests and look forward to seeing you in 2018!

We just got back from an 8 night stay and it was heavenly! The house was cozy and comfortable and the location was unbeatable--we've already booked to come back in April! We especially enjoyed the bright, beachy decor, the comfortable bed, and the outdoor shower! The management team is very pleasant and extremely responsive and made us feel secure that if any issues popped up they'd be readily available to us; of course there were no issues. Thanks again and see you in 6 months!

Perfect location, perfect beach, perfect house

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I loved this house. It was the perfect size for us. The house was just a few steps from the beach. It had everything you need in a rental home. My favorite part was sitting on the porch, enjoying the breeze and listening to the sea. We loved it and if we come back, we would definitely stay here.

Owner's Response: Raneve, SeaHorse Crossing is the perfect size for 1 or 2 couples or a couple with 1 or 2 children. Being so close to the Beach is one of our favorite features as well. We don’t even pack a cooler to go to the beach as it’s only a few steps back to the fridge for another cold one!! The screened porch is another of my favorite things about SeaHorse Crossing also. Whether it is day or night that is where we spend most of our time when we are at the cottage. Hope you got to discover the Free Trolley and the rest of Anna Maria as well. As you know we are super close to the grocery store but there are so many great restaurants it is difficult not to eat out every night! Please do come back and visit soon!
