So well kept and furnished down to the last detail, that we could well have been the first-ever guests. Thanks for providing such a nice week! Our best beach vacation in our 53 years of marriage.

Home away from home!!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second year renting this adorable home. We love coming here. The home is adorable and its the perfect beach cottage! It has all the comforts of home. No need to pack any extras as it was provided (for the beach too!). The owners are super sweet and a joy to do business with. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Seahorse Crossing for two weeks and we loved it. There were only two of us so we found the place ideal for our needs, however I could see the challenge for more adults with just the one toilet/bathroom. That aside it was great for us. There is an outside shower which is ideal for when you have returned from the beach. The owner has provided beach chairs/beds & towels and the beach is literally a stones throw from the front door. Also in very close proximity and ideal to walk to are a number of stores, Publix, Walgreens, Hardware store, beach store (plus many more) and a great place for breakfast/brunch called Peach's. We walked to a couple of restaurants that are also nearby, our favourite was Island Spice (20 min walk) but the location of the cottage is ideal for getting to all places on the Island.

The area offers a free trolley/bus service and the bus stops for this service are a very short walk from the property which is great if you fancy a day off from driving. However the beaches at Anna Marie, Coquina, Bradenton, Siesta Key & Lido are all within a short driving distance.

Overall we loved it and we would definitely go back and stay at this wonderful cottage.

Owner's Response: Claire, Thank you for your review and I’m glad that you enjoyed your 2 weeks at SeaHorse Crossing. We love the location of our home and how it is so close to everything especially the beach! In my haste to soak up some sun on the beach I sometimes forget something back at the house which is no problem because it’s only steps away! We love to take the trolley down to Bridge Street to enjoy some shopping and a bite to eat, next time you come you should try Blue Marlin Restaurant you won’t be disappointed. To my knowledge we have never had guests having a problem with having 1 bathroom as most do take advantage of the outside hot and cold shower! Most of our reservations have been either 1 couple or a small family of 3 or 4. Thank you again and we would love for you to return to SeaHorse Crossing!

Life at the Seahorse Crossing

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I made our annual trek to Florida and stayed at the Seahorse Crossing on Anna Maria Island. We've stayed here many times before and love it so much we keep coming back! The cottage is cute, clean, comfortable and offers all the amenities you can get at home. There are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed, the other with a queen. It is located a stone's throw from the beach (like maybe 3 houses away) on a quiet side road off the main drag. It is in walking distance from anything you might need (i.e. grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store, beach store, restaurants, etc.). The area is great for taking walks, jogging, or heading to the beach for fun in the sun and watching the sunsets - they're beautiful! There are many restaurants close by, all great food! If you book this cottage, you'll definitely want to make a return trip!

Owner's Response: Welcome back to Anna Maria and to SeaHorse Crossing! The cottage is in the perfect location…close to grocery stores etc. but steps to those incredible white sand beaches and awesome sun sets that Anna Maria is famous for. Although the cottage is well equipped it is difficult not to want to be pampered a bit while you are on vacation and enjoy some of our fabulous restaurants! It certainly sounds like you made the most of your time on your vacation. Hope to see you on your next adventure!

Great location and pet friendly

  • 5 of 5

This property was ideal for our needs. We wanted to be close to the beach and also be able to provide for our pet. The accommodation was quite comfortable, with a lovely front screened porch. One bathroom for 4 adults was a challenge but we often took advantage of the outdoor shower!

Owner's Response: Glad you and your pet enjoyed SeaHorse Crossing and hope you’ll come back to visit soon. The screened porch is one of our favorite features and to be quite honest with you we use the outdoor shower more than we do the indoor one! It is just so convenient and no worries about sand from the beach! Thanks again for visiting with us and taking the time to review.

Amazing beach cottage that permits some pets

  • 5 of 5

For 15 years we thought we lived in paradise but after staying at this lovely beach cottage, we found we were very mistaken. The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly want and more, just bring your personal items and you will be ready for a vacation that will linger in your mind for years to come. The dogs enjoyed the lovely screened in porch and fenced in yard while the humans enjoyed the view, peace and quite and the sounds of the beach just 2 houses away.

Owner's Response: How wonderful to hear you thought it was paradise! We certainly do too! Nothing like a stroll on the beach with a cup of coffee in the morning. And we love the sound of the waves and the seagulls while sitting on the porch in the evenings. Happy the dogs enjoyed staying as much as you did! Hope you make it back again soon!

Owner's Response: Happy it was available for you! And happy to hear you found it to be well equipped and comfortable too! We love the location as well. You can walk to the beach in 30 seconds, be at the Publix and Walgreens shopping center in about a minute, and catch the free trolley on Gulf Drive in less than a minute. So many wonderful places to eat so close too. Thank you for the review! Hope you make it back again soon!
