About Greg & Doris

Greg and Doris have enjoyed hosting guests in their next-door rental home for the past 10 years. Avid gardeners and remodelers, they have poured great effort into making the house a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Having done extensive international travel themselves, they understand the little touches that make for a comfortable visit.

Greg & Doris purchased this house in 1998

Why Greg & Doris chose Lynnhurst

Having lived next door for over 30 years, we had considered buying the home for family member use at various times, but then had an opportunity when the neighbors were suddenly transferred out of town for business. We targeted the house specifically for international and corporate relocation families, and have developed some great continuing friendships with our guests. Being right next door, it has been very convenient for us to attend to the property and assist guests when needed.

What makes this house unique

Spacious home, great for wedding parties, family or friends reunions, business groups.

Mixture of comfortable modern ranch layout, with classic woodwork & coved ceilings.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This is a beautiful home in a wonderful neighborhood. We definitely would like to use these accommodations down the road.

Fantastic Stay!

  • 5 of 5

Everything we needed. This really felt like a home away from home. A lovely home with an amazing amount of space and very gracious hosts. We found the location both convenient and beautiful. I will definitely book this location again.

Great stay, great location

  • 5 of 5

The house was ideal for our stay, we had seven of us stay at the house for my son's wedding. The four bedrooms were perfect for us. The hosts were available but we never needed them. I would recommend this to anyone with a group of up 8. The neighborhood is clean and safe.

Thanks Greg and Doris.

Wedding Weekend at Parkway Beauty

  • 4 of 5

My family rented out this house for my wedding weekend, and it was our basecamp for all wedding-related activities! The house very comfortably sleeps 8. We had a great time, and the screened-in porch was wonderful for making our own flower arrangements. Doris and Greg were easy to work with and contact ahead of time. The house was very comfortably furnished and the kitchen was perfect for our needs. Access to the garage (1 car) was wonderful as well, and the house is beautifully situated on walking trails. We had a plumbing snafu while there, but Greg came over lunch and fixed everything for us. Our two suggestions are to put a handicap railing in the tub and a mirror on the back of the door in the den. Overall, we would recommend it!

We ❤️ The Parkway Beauty!

  • 5 of 5

Recently spent our 3rd summer vacation here (10 nights this time) and have already booked for next year. From this lovely neighborhood it's only a 15 minute drive to so many fun things to do and see, including art and history museums, professional sporting events, the downtowns of Mpls and St. Paul, the city lakes, shopping galore, and the list goes on. Plus you couldn't ask for a lovelier, more comfy and well-stocked home base than this house. Gracious and attentive hosts right next door, too, who have thought of everything to make your stay a pleasant one. This year we especially appreciated the new big-screen TV in the lower level family room. Thanks, Greg and Doris. You are the best!
