Comfortable, convenient and oh the VIEWS!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 adults and one child enjoyed this home immensely! It is a very comfortable home, with every amenity you could ask for, including an open floor plan, a large terraced yard for kids, plenty of room for spreading out and a wonderful kitchen in which to cook. We spent our days being tourists--the drive into Portland was easy--and our evenings enjoying wine on the patio and living room, watching the world go by. Since the house overlooks the shipping lanes, we saw container ships, ferries, sailboats and many fishing boats from the comfort of our home away from home.

The furniture is comfortable and not fussy, so you feel relaxed and at ease. If you have extended family, there's a nice separate family room with a big screen TV, away from the living room/kitchen area. Kids could go in there and watch TV or play games. We didn't use it but it's there, and leads to a downstairs bedroom/bathroom. The rest of the bedrooms--4--are upstairs. 2 of these rooms are very spacious, and share a balcony with great views. The other 2 bedrooms are comfortable as well.

The kitchen has an island for cooking, and plenty of counter space, all granite. There's a pantry/laundry room adjacent if you'd like to stock the house with groceries for your stay.

Outside there is a lovely patio, very comfortable, and nice for dinner, as it is somewhat sheltered. Down the stairs are 2 areas of lawn, ideal for playing catch and other outdoor activities.

We enjoyed getting baked items from Scratch Bakery, a 5 minute drive away. There are some nice walks, and lovely properties to view. The park is very near, and the lighthouse is not to be missed!

Wonderful views, bright and comfortable house!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this lovely house for two weeks in July while our daughters were away at camp and loved every minute! The ocean views and easy access to the water were exactly what we had hoped and the house was clean, modern, comfortable and bright. We loved being able to walk down the hill to the neighborhood private beach, and sitting out on the upper deck every evening at sunset was the perfect way to end the day. The owners were lovely and the house was stocked with anything we could have needed. We can't wait to go back again this year!

Beautiful, relaxing getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This house is accurately depicted in all photos, no surprises here! Home is cozy and kid friendly, as we have two small children. Comfortable for all ages. We loved sitting on the porches as watching the boats pass, especially the large tankers and cruise ships. To see them at such a close distance was mesmerizing.

We usually stay at one of the local Inns in the area but will be for sure renting this home when we come up again!

We rented this amazing house for our Parents 40th wedding anniversary and it was all we had hoped for and more.

The pictures on this page are great, but the house is even better than advertised. From the ocean views, the private street, the walking distance to a great beach and the location to Downtown Portland, the place has it all.

Lynn met us on the day of our arrival, gave us a tour, showed us how everything worked (including the surround sound and iPod docking station!) and even ran out and bought a new coffee maker as the previous one had just stopped working the night before!

We have already called and asked for our same week this summer and have all been talking about the great time we had and how hard it was to leave.

Just an amazing, relaxing, beautiful spot for a family looking for a fun filled vacation or a getaway from the 8-5 world.

We would and have highly recommended this house and Lynn to anyone who asks!

Thank you for making our Parents 40th an amazing week for all!

This was my family's first time staying at this rental property and my first trip to Maine - my Mom and her sisters have been many times before. Lynn greeted us at the house when we arrived, gave us a tour, and told us any important information we needed to know. She was always easy to contact if we needed anything throughout the week.

The house is beautiful! The kitchen, living room, and two of the upstairs bedrooms have plenty of windows to give you the most beautiful view of the ocean & cruise ships as they pass by. Waking up to the view every morning was amazing! We had seven people staying in the house and we all had plenty of room to sleep, get ready in the morning, stretch out and relax, etc. We did a lot of eating out but I would recommend picking up groceries and cooking meals at the house....take full advantage of the beautiful home and scenery while you're there.

I would highly recommend this rental property to anyone I know visiting Maine....what you see in the pictures is really what you get and more!

Thank you Lynn for allowing our family to stay in your home....we have memories to last a lifetime!
