About Laurie Baker
This is our second home, so it is cared for with love. We bought it because of its bright big windows and beautiful mountain view and the proximity to the mountain and town. No need for a car. Everything can be reached on foot or by hopping on the free town bus, which comes right to the front of the building.
Laurie Baker purchased this Condo in 2001
Why Laurie Baker chose Old Town
It's right across the parking lot from three Park City lifts. Fantastic location, lots of sun shining in the big windows. Walk across the street to ski Park City and the Canyons or hop on the free bus for Deer Valley. It comes right to the front of the building!
What makes this Condo unique
You can watch your kids walk to the lift from the living room window. Large swimming pool, great Jacuzzi and the laundry facility is in the basement of our building. Walk or ride the bus downtown.
Check-in: 4:00 PM
Check-out: 11:00 AM
No smoking in the condo or on the balconies. Quiet hours 10 P.M. - 8 A.M. please.

Great Access to Park City Slopes(family friendly)
Excellent location! Spacious rooms with a great view of the Park City Mountain. We enjoyed the easy shuttle access to lifts, grocery stores and restaurants. Comfortable and quaint accommodations!
The location cannot be beat, you can walk across the parking lot to the chairlift. There are also 2 bus stops right in front the condominium, both inbound and outbound (downtown Park City and Resort Center). Four off us slept comfortably in this two bedroom two bath condominium. Laurie's communication and suggestions were spot on. We will definitely be back!
Highly Recommended for our needs
Very close to Park City Ski slopes. 4 Mins Walk. Very responsive owner. Talk to Laurie, if you have a problem or you are not happy with something. Talk to Laurie, she is extremely responsive and does everything possible to address issues.
Thanks for being so responsive and making it a good trip
Convenient confortable stay.
I did not have an issue with Laurie's place, was able to find it no problem, parking always available. All codes and directions worked just fine, the place was clean, really close to Park City base(5 min walk), reasonable pricing for a busy Presiden'ts day weekend. Good communication with property owner. The property building itself could use an upgrade, code entry rather than traditional key entry, would help if there's multiple parties staying at the condominium.
Great location for Park City ski trip
Location is important and that's the best feature of Edelweisse House. Other things are a little less convenient. Logistically, it is difficult to manage with gate codes and keys. To access the condo, you need (i) a gate code, (ii) a key to get into the building and (iii) a different key to get into the condo. These logistical challenges were complicated by out-of-date instructions that were sent after we booked. I know Laurie intends to update the instructions, but we were given the wrong gate code and we were not sent keys to get into the building or the unit. Laurie was very attentive to the logistical issues and arranged for us to get into the unit and get keys once we arrived. But if you plan to stay here, make sure you book early enough and arrange to have the keys mailed to you prior to leaving.
The unit itself is quite adequate, but nothing special. Beds are comfortable and unit is clean. It's well stocked with blankets, towels and dishes. There's nothing luxurious about it (cinderblock building), but its a very functional ski place. The walk to the slopes is very short. The hot tub is large and easy to access with the building key. We did have a problem with the heat in one room, but Laurie has a portable heater that worked and made up for the baseboard heat not working.
While the proximity to the slopes is fantastic, it's a longer walk to the bars and restaurants on Main Street - about 3/4 mile. We used Uber to get to Main Street and walked home to work off the great food we had there. Overall Park City is a great place to ski with the combination of a good mountain and lots of restaurant options.
I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at Park City. I do and did apologize for the key problem. It is not a usual occurrence and, as you found , I can always be easily reached to solve problems. For security reasons, the gate codes do change and I am always available to update the changes. I don’t understand the need for an Uber. The free bus comes about every 15 minutes right to the front of our building day and night. It goes all over Park City and Deer Valley.
Our management insists on the gates and keys, so that can’t be changed by individual owners. I wish it was not that way, but nothing I can do. It is for our guests security.
I have a technician correcting the heat problem. Apparently there was a faulty thermostat. Luckily, we always provide backup heaters and our lovely gas fireplace.
Our condo is our second home. We keep it comfortable for our own enjoyment and we are glad to be able to share it with the many skiers and movie lovers who visit our town.
Great location with a lovely view
We loved staying here! Great location, close to Main Street, very spacious and super cozy. Laurie was very responsive and a wonderful host. I'd definitely stay here again!
This map makes it appear that our condo is further from the hill than it really is. To get on the ski hill, you just walk across the street and through a big parking lot. There is a ticket building at the edge of the parking lot (or you can buy tickets in our lobby) and there are four area lifts right there to access anywhere on the mountain.
Other Activities: hot air ballooning, health/beauty spa, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, basketball, racquetball
