My wife and I just returned from our stay at the ranch and absolutely loved it. The house was well equipped with anything we needed to cook, towels, etc.. It is extremely secluded as well with excellent views from the front of the house as well as on the drive up to the house from the road. I must admit, my wife and I did get a little spooked one night when we thought we heard something when we were outside, but that was simply because it was only two of us and we've seen too many horror movies. All in all, we felt right at home and were very pleased with the house and how welcome we felt. The owner was extremely helpful throughout the booking process as well.
Nice country home, isolated from the world. If really want to get away from the city this is the place. We were able to see lots of wildlife and a beautiful night sky. Every thing we could think of was at the home. Most of our days were spent roaming around Yosemite but it was great to come back and relax after.
we stayed here just 2 nights at the end of our USA trip and a too-fleeting visit to Yosemite. We are a family of 4 with 2 teenage/grown up daughters .We had no problem booking from the UK and spoke to |Judy on the phone to confirm details. She also met us at the house shortly after our rival. The house is certainly pretty remote up a long track but we were bowled over by the location, the views, the enormous size of the place and the facilities. The photos really don;t do it justice, it is breathtaking! We had an absolutely amazing stay with everything we needed and loved lying in the hot tub at night watching the stars. We had a very very long day in Yosemite which was absolutely an experience not to be missed but it was great to get back to the solitude and quietness of the ranch . We bought food in the excellent supermarkets in Oakhurst and cooked big meals in the well equipped kitchen. We only wish we had had longer to relax in your lovely house and garden, walk in the hills and loll around in the hot tub! We would absolutely love to come back for longer if we ever get the chance, thank you so much
We were really impressed with our stay at the ranch. We loved the house and the property. After spending the day in Yosemite it was great to come here to relax and unwind. The house is very spacious and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Our dog loved running around the property and exploring. Thanks so much Judy for fulfilling our last minute accommodation and making our stay so enjoyable.
We visited this place end of July and was our first away from it all kind of experience. It is a beautiful and spacious house. The place was clean and we had champagne and pop corn ready to welcome us. Ms Parker was always ready to answer our concerns. Our toddlers loved running around. We loved watching the night sky in the wilderness with enormous number of stars, something we don't get to do in the city. We stayed only for two nights, but wished had longer time to spend at the ranch itself. We even sighted a deer prancing by. We didn't get an opportunity to use the hot tub and dropped the idea of visiting the pond as we were told it was kind of dry around the time of our visit. It is a pretty uphill hike for people who aren't used to it I guess.
There is a burger joint about a mile away but did our groceries at Mariposa around the junction of 140 and 49. ( if I remember it right that is).
Thank you for the wonderful experience ( even the one of woodpeckers waking us up :)), loved it.
We had a fantastic 2 night stay at the Ranch!!!! Upon arrival we were greeted with champagne and the hot tub bubbling away...very nice touch!! The house is huge and is very well presented. Great kitchen and everything is there for you to create great meals after a busy day at Yosemite. The drive to the Valley floor in Yosemite can vary depending on traffic. Anywhere from 1 to 1.5 hours is a fair assumption. Judy was fantastic to deal with and was quick to respond to any requests etc. From Mariposa is approx 10-15 mins drive. Good supermarket in town behind Burger King to stock up on the needs to create wonderful meals and enjoy the peace and serenity of the ranch. Would of loved to have stayed longer than 2 nights as the peace and quiet on top of the hill at the ranch is fantastic!!!
