Vieregge, the small dreamy fishing village, lies in the northwest, the most scenic part of the island of Rügen. Nestled in the nature reserve on Breetzer Bodden. Shopping and dining facilities are located next to the small port restaurant with shop in the area in Neuenkirchen 4km away. The county town of Bergen is about 20km, the sub-center Gingst only about 15km away, the beautiful island of Hiddensee is best reached by boat, otherwise it is from Vieregge to the ferry Schaprode about 15 minutes. The natural beach was extensively renovated in 2005 by the municipality Vieregge and recultivated. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the residential and water facilities and is within walking distance. Here is a quiet bathing, in the well-tempered and gently sloping Bodden waters possible. By the Office West Rügen the beach is rehearsed in the bathing season at intervals of 14 days.
