Waverley Lodge Awesome Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Four generations of my family spent a three day Christmas get together at Waverley Lodge. There's lots to enjoy for every age group. Immaculately kept, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Very convenienet to Catalooche Ski Resort and downtown shops. Owners were very nice and were available to us if we had any questions. Wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

For the price I expected better.

  • 3 of 5

Appliances were very dated and not very clean. Down stairs smelled very moldy. No gas for the grill. Views in the summer are limited. Outside furniture was very dirty and not able to use. Only two bags of garbage are allowed for a week stay or you are charged $8 a bag extra if you don't hall away yourself half way across town. Which I was not willing to put in my car. There are a lot of great things I liked about the cabin. But I feel updates are needed.

Excellent Get Away

  • 5 of 5

Great house for anyone but a big family will find plenty of space and entertainment. Easy ride over the mountain to Cherokee for more entertainment, fishing, or just a days adventure. ( I caught a beautiful rainbow trout over at Cherokee). Highly recommend this place just to relax and get away.

Love Maggie valley! Very close thanks ski slope, not a lot of snow this year so drove to sugar mountain one if the days(about 1.45) also went hiking in shining rock wilderness. Plenty of room, cute upstairs bunks.. need a longer stay!!!!

Perfect Cabin for the Relaxing Vacation we Planned

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect. Just as described. Plenty of space for our party of 9, could have easily accommodated more. The owner was easy to reach with questions while we were there, and wonderful to communicate with before the trip.

We have only been home 2 days and we already miss the cabin! It was cozy and warm! We could relax on the deck and enjoy the stunning views of the mountains on all sides of us. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do. There were lots of activities at the cabin to keep everyone entertained. It was amazing! We will definitely go back!
