Most activities would require coordination and additional costs associated. In other words, we should talk about activities in which you are interested ahead of time. We have hosted small weddings. There are larger inns and a hotel about 10 minutes away.

This house is not a rental. It is my home.
Peacefulness and vegetables from my neighbor's garden.
We loved this place! We were looking for a calm, relaxing place where 2 families with young children could just hang out and have fun for a couple of days. This house was perfect! The kids ran around in the yard and fed the horses. We sat on the front porch swing and barbecued out back. It is very homey and spacious and we fit very comfortably. Nice and clean, great kitchen, photos were accurate. Owner very responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
I cannot say enough about our stay here. We were there for the Woodberry-EHS Big Game Weekend and this was perfect for all of us!! Very very comfortable and just lovely. So close to Woodberry and having the washer/dryer was helpful to get my son's laundry done. Kitchen was perfect for our dinner for 8 and the large dining room was perfectly appointed. Kids loved hiking and especially the horses. Thank you so much Eric and Anne!!! See you in May for graduation...
We will come back long after our son graduates!!
I am sorry to have taken so long to write a review, I thought I had done it last Summer. We stayed at the house with my daughter while attending the horse shows. This is a lovely home ot relax in. It is in the middle of horse pastures with pleanty of peace and quiet. Was wonderfule to watch the foggy morning and horses in the field. Good central location to Culppepper and close enough to visit historic areas. Property was very clean and loaded with interesting books and a charming sitting area. Wonderful people to deal with.
My family and I view this farmhouse as a peaceful country paradise. The views are breathtaking! Our three young children have taken full advantage of the ample property for play, hiking, watching the cows and horses, and stomping in nearby rivers. The house is a gorgeous combination of historic and modern, and it's comfortable. We love it!
My children and I stayed at The Old School Farm in April of 2008, as my daughter was attending a horse show at the Commonwealth Park nearby. The house is a very comfortable place to stay. The bedrooms are cozy and the kitchen very comfortable. In addition, we had some time to walk around some of the surrounding fields, and it's a very beautiful location. I would definitely stay there again the next time we are in that area.
