About The Owner

Photo view = beautiful SARASOTA BAY near Marina Jacks and Island Park (0.4 mi beautiful tropical walk from condo).

We are both from this area and have re-discovered Downtown and all it has to offer. We spend our summers in the condo, enjoying all the amenities of Sarasota. We love to kayak, swim in the pool, walk to many great downtown cafes (recommend walking over to Owen's Fishcamp for dinner), theaters and enjoy the beach sunsets with a glass of wine. Come share paradise!

Why The Owner chose Downtown

Laurel Park and Burns Court is the most desirable of the Downtown Neighborhoods - closest to the Bayfront, and it was so exciting to find this private condo with direct waterfront access to Sarasota Bay and the Gulf of Mexico! We slip out in our kayak and paddle right by beautiful Selby Botanical Gardens. Our dock and Hudson Bayou can support up to about a 17’ boat – there is one low bridge. And because it is perfectly situated right between the Keys, we are able to enjoy Siesta Key, Lido Beach, Longboat and Anna Maria Island. We fell in love with this property and this community and you will too!

What makes this condo unique

Probably the best feature is our location. We are approx 2-4 blocks to everything Downtown, and so close to the museums and theaters. Right in the heart of the action (Farmer’s Mkt, Chalk Festival, etc.), we are still a very private small community of only 15 units. We have a new foot-bridge allowing access to stroll easily through the Laurel Park neighborhood and right over to Word of Mouth Café. Most downtown condos have a water view, but we are one of very few actually ON the water, which is quite serene. Having this kind of peace and serenity, with easy access to the entertainment, shopping & dining absolutely makes us the perfect location.

Simply stated, this property is wonderful! The owners have thought of everything. We were in Sarasota to both work and play, and the property suited both objectives to a tee! The location couldn't be more convenient. Quiet. Private. Located within easy walking distance to almost everything Sarasota. We could go on and on, but the proof of our satisfaction with this rental lies in the fact that we intend to rent it over and over again!

Happy on the Hudson Bayou

This private rental was our best experience ever, after countless vacation rentals. It exceeded our expectations on all counts. The unit was equipped with everything that you could possibly need. It is possibly better equipped than your own home. It was also spotless; inside and out. The location is perfect for walking to everything, and kayaking every day. The layout provided perfect privacy for 2 couples. The unit faces south and the view is glorious all day long. The owners in the complex are delightful. (Shout out to Susan) There are just too many restaurants close by to recommend, such as Matto Matto - and Owen's Fish Camp, and everything on Main St.

If you select this unit, you will never want to stay anywhere else!

Location - Location- Location

You can walk to interesting restaurants and shops within 15 minutes. And the condo itself

has a beautiful decor and is very clean.

In addition, the owners who are nearby are very iaccommodating in providing information to

restaurants and interesting sites to visit.

We'll return in March of 2013.

Wonderful Location / Beautiful Place

This listing is dead on. The listing pictures accurately reflect the appearance and amenities and it is very clean and well maintained.The owner Beth is wonderful, very helpful with information about restaurants and places of interest. She responded immediately when we needed help with a couple of issues we encountered during our stay. The kitchen has everything any serious cook could want. The washer and dryer are top of the line as are the rest of the kitchen appliances. Walking distance to Shelby Botanical Gardens, Main street and and all its wonderful restaurants, musical events at the Opera House, the marina, exercise walking distance over the bridge to Lido Key and the beach and our favorite restaurant Owens Fish Camp at Burns Court just three blocks away. We were there in April while the Sarasota Film Festival was taking place and it was amazing. There are tons of things to do. I would definitely recommend this property to family and friends. One caveat, this is a pet friendly condo and you will hear and see pets although they were certainly well behaved. Also it is a multi level condo and some very normal and tolerable noise is sometimes heard. I would not let this keep me from staying there again.

Excellent Sarasota choice

Excellent Sarasota choice if you want to be close to downtown without the congestion of a high rise and the noise of the street. Out of the way in a quiet neighborhood, but you can walk in less than ten minutes to the cinema, restaurants, the Y, farmer’s market, Shelby Gardens, the Recreational Trail along the harbor, and more. This unit has a delightful sunroom and a porch, both overlooking a bayou. Furnished tastefully and comfortably. Kitchen is remarkably well equipped. The friendly and efficient owners go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay.
