Guestbook comments from the manager

The West Fork is as charming a place as you can get. From the bark sided cabin, to the huge open field, picnic shed … all surrounded by the river…. it doesn’t get much better. Whether you camp in a tent in the field or stay up in the cabin with internet and a/c…. it is one of our favorite get aways! All the amenities of home and close to civilization but feels like you are miles away! True private waters for some of the best fly fishing in the area. Definitely want to come again!

Lovely isolated cabin

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay at this cabin. It should be noted that this property is remote and an SUV is required in order to access the property from the main road (the dirt road/driveway leading to the house is long, very bumpy and steep at times). The river is about a 5 minute walk from the house, and the picnic shelter is located right by the river. There is no celular service but the house wifi works well. The furnishings are older but comfortable. The screened in porch is amazing!!

Can't wait to go again!

  • 5 of 5

This time we went to stay at the West Fork cabin we took four other families. Everyone pitched tents in the big open field. We built a bonfire. We cooked out under the picnic shelter with twinkling lights and a huge picnic table that seats 20. We hired a Flyfishing guide from Headwater Outfitters to come for the morning to give lessons to the kids. They caught several good ones for pictures. It was nice to camp but also nice to have the cabin with a kitchen, bathrooms, and AC if you needed it. We have already made plans to do the same group again this time next year!!

Quiet, Quaint and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Fly Fishing cabin was wonderful and the manager, Mish, could not have been more helpful. It is a very cute, quaint little home with a fabulous wrap around porch where we spent most of our time. We had a fly fishing guide come to the property to teach us how to fly fish and caught several fish even tho it was not really the best time of year to catch them. A few things to note that might help others in the future are that the fridge is very small so if you are staying more than a few days, don't take too many refrigerated items at first. There is no ice maker so take a bag of ice with you before getting to the cabin as it's a 15-20 min drive to a zippy mart and at least 30-35 min to a grocery store! There are little to no cabinets for food storage so be mindful when packing food that there's no place to put it. All in all, we loved our stay there and even in August, we were able to sleep with the windows open and it was plenty cool enough. I would DEF recommend this cabin to anyone wanting a remote location to decompress. It was just what the Dr ordered for us!

Quite. Peaceful. Bliss.

What an amazing 3 weeks we had renting this cabin; off the beaten path and out of the heat. Rustic. Quaint. Great fishing right on the property. Hope to come back in the fall.

Neat Cabin tucked away in private setting

  • 5 of 5

Took our family for a weekend and enjoyed our stay. Had guides from Headwaters come on Saturday and give everyone a fly fishing lesson with great success. Everyone enjoyed it and everyone caught fish. The cabin is off the road far enough where you feel by yourself and private. A short walk to the river for fly fishing. You can hear the water from the cabin and there is a large field and picnic shelter for outings. The cabin is comfortable and clean and we enjoyed our stay. We drove over the Gorges State Park for a quick hike to Rainbow Falls and had dinner in Brevard.
