Beautiful mountain home located on Prospect Mountain. Lots of privacy, yet close enough you can walk to town. Living room features a moss rock, wood burning fireplace with HD/LCD/DVD above, King 'pine cone' bedroom, bath with log shelving and accents, fully equipped kitchen with gas range and granite countertops. Large 12x26 deck with Hot Tub with HUGE Continental Divide views.

The walkout lower level has log covered entry, queen bedroom, bath, family room with a queen and a twin sofa sleeper. Patio doors to a new 12x26 deck with patio furniture and hammock. Wildlife frequents the home, and the private setting makes for a relaxing get away. Fabulous views from both inside and outside the home, hot tub, and area surrounding the home. Setting has lots of trees, large outcropping of rocks and boulders, for a true stay in the mountains, but not too far from fun, shopping, restaurants, hiking, and most town and park activities.

Mountain Views is located on an in-town private road. Beautiful, private location. AWD is recommended for winter guests.

About Linda

We have been rental home owners for over 30 years, and are now enjoying renting our vacation homes in Estes Park. We look forward to meeting many of our guests, and making your stay extra special by taking home great memories of both your time in the mountains, and your 'home away from home'!

Linda purchased this house in 2008

Why Linda chose Rocky Mountain National Park

The beauty of the mountains, the small town atmosphere, wonderful weather (most of the time)! We think it's PERFECT!

What makes this house unique

The location is so unique. Close to everything-yet so nice and private. You can walk into town in a couple of minutes and come back home to the mountain setting amidst the boulders, outcroppings, and large pines. And the views..............simply awesome. From the Mummy Range to the north, and then the Continental Divide sweeping the south and west. Wildlife frequents the property, which is a real delight. Hot tub is especially relaxing while looking at the mountains.

Absolutely loved the place. Everything was even better than we ever expected, furniture, beds, etc. GLORIOUS VIEW of Rocky Mountain National Park right from the deck and enjoyed the local wildlife. Very private, clean and comfortable. House was nicely stocked with toiletries, etc. Would definitely come back. Very friendly owner.

Idyllic Spot in Estes Park

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful find! We loved everything about our stay at Mountain Views. Quiet location with fabulous views from the decks. Extremely well-appointed and perfectly maintained home with every convenience at our fingertips. The hot tub was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking, and the super-duper gas grill was much used. Although we did not have much time for viewing, the flat screen tv upstairs was a bonus, and the wi-fi connection also was excellent. Linda and Bob were outstanding hosts and have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. Would definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

Clean, cozy, house

  • 5 of 5
Verified Stay

This house was clean and well set up with everything we needed for our week. We loved the hot tub and grill outside, and especially the mountain views. Very quiet and private area.

Be careful if you are there during snow--the slope down the hill to get to the driveway can be very slick. We did have trouble with our car sliding and not being able to make it up.

Other than that this was a great place to stay!

More than we expected

  • 5 of 5
Verified Stay

We stayed in this house for 3 nights right before Christmas. It was so much more than we expected. The views were breathtaking. You look out into the mountains. The property is very wooded so you do not see any other houses around you. We didn't know how tastefully festive the house would be decorated. We had brought our own decorations and did not even take them out of the boxes. The fireplace was my favorite feature of the house. My husband kept a fire going almost the whole time we were there. The bed in the master was very comfortable. All of the furnishings were up to date and comfortable. Regrettably we did not use the hot tub, every day we thought the next day would be the one. The kitchen is full stocked with anything you may need to prepare a meal. The appliances are all top of the line right now to the front load washer and dryer. All of the comforts of home. It is recommended that you have a AWD vehicle in the winter the driveway is a bit steep as well as the road leaving the house. The main roads are very well maintained as the hospital is on the main road. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here.

Simply Beautiful!!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at Mountain View very much! The name says it all, we woke up every morning to amazingly beautiful mountain views. We sat in the hot tub and watched a snow storm blow in over the mountains," and spent cozy nights curled up watching Christmas movies by the crackling fire. The cabin is tucked away, you feel like you're miles and miles out of town--but actually you're just minutes from town. I would highly recommend choosing to spend your vacation at Mountain View.

Wonderful anniversary get away spot

  • 5 of 5
Verified Stay

Mountain Views was true to its name with lovely views in the mornings from the deck of the mountain peaks. Very cozy place to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Loved that the place was nicely decorated for Christmas. Very clean, very comfortable bed and the fireplace was nice on cold evenings. Three deer hung around for quite sometime one day allowing me to get some great pics. Linda was easy to communicate with and very responsive. Great place to relax for a few days.

We had the most wonderful time!!! Linda has attended to EVERY detail! From the light fixtures to the beds, everything makes you feel like you are in a mountain retreat. And the views... We had coffee every morning and wine every evening on the deck with the view. The light changed every few minutes, so we needed that picture too!!!! You are near to town, but love that you see NO houses near you. Loved hearing the elk and viewing them in Estes Park!!! You will LOVE this house!!! Thanks, Linda, for sharing your house with us ! ❤️
