If less than the minimum nights are available I am usually able to reserve for you, but you will need to call me. Online system will not do less than minimum reservations.

If Mountain Views is already booked for your nights check out my 2 other Estes Park Homes. Pine Cone Cabin #177568, and Estes Mountain Home #176790.

Beautiful mountain home located on Prospect Mountain. Lots of privacy, yet close enough you can walk to town. Living room features a moss rock, wood burning fireplace with HD/LCD/DVD above, King 'pine cone' bedroom, bath with log shelving and accents, fully equipped kitchen with gas range and granite countertops. Large 12x26 deck with Hot Tub with HUGE Continental Divide views.

The walkout lower level has log covered entry, queen bedroom, bath, family room with a queen and a twin sofa sleeper. Patio doors to a new 12x26 deck with patio furniture and hammock. Wildlife frequents the home, and the private setting makes for a relaxing get away. Fabulous views from both inside and outside the home, hot tub, and area surrounding the home. Setting has lots of trees, large outcropping of rocks and boulders, for a true stay in the mountains, but not too far from fun, shopping, restaurants, hiking, and most town and park activities.

Mountain Views is located on an in-town private road. Beautiful, private location. AWD is recommended for winter guests.

About Linda

We have been rental home owners for over 40 years and are now enjoying renting our vacation homes in Estes Park. We look forward to meeting many of our guests, and making your stay extra special by taking home great memories of both your time in the mountains, and your home away from home!

Linda purchased this house in 2008

Why Linda chose Rocky Mountain National Park

The beauty of the mountains, the small town atmosphere, wonderful weather (most of the time)! We think it's PERFECT!

What makes this house unique

The location is so unique. Close to everything-yet so nice and private. You can walk into town in a couple of minutes and come back home to the mountain setting amidst the boulders, outcroppings, and large pines. And the views..............simply awesome. From the Mummy Range to the north, and then the Continental Divide sweeping the south and west. Wildlife frequents the property, which is a real delight. Hot tub is especially relaxing while looking at the mountains.

Absolutely loved the place. Everything was even better than we ever expected, furniture, beds, etc. GLORIOUS VIEW of Rocky Mountain National Park right from the deck and enjoyed the local wildlife. Very private, clean and comfortable. House was nicely stocked with toiletries, etc. Would definitely come back. Very friendly owner.

Idyllic Spot in Estes Park

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful find! We loved everything about our stay at Mountain Views. Quiet location with fabulous views from the decks. Extremely well-appointed and perfectly maintained home with every convenience at our fingertips. The hot tub was very much appreciated after a long day of hiking, and the super-duper gas grill was much used. Although we did not have much time for viewing, the flat screen tv upstairs was a bonus, and the wi-fi connection also was excellent. Linda and Bob were outstanding hosts and have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable. Would definitely recommend to friends and relatives.

Beautiful cabin with breathtaking views from the deck.

  • 5 of 5

This was a great place to stay to enjoy The mountains. Everything you need is thought of. We loved cooking every night on the grill and enjoyed the hot tub. The viewsfrom the deck are the best part of this cabin. Started every day on the deck and ended every day there. Very clean and cute decorated.

great location and house

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this home for my youngest daughters graduation from high school trip. The location was close to the main strip but isolated so you could enjoy the hot tub. The home is nicely furnished and Linda answered any question and brought batteries by when the remote controls were not working.

We will stay here again and tell our family about it.

Owner's Response: I enjoyed having you, and your family, stay at Mountain Views and I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I was happy to get to talk with you and glad you were comfortable to call if you needed anything. I always tell guests to call, email, or text, if they have any questions, or needs. That is what I am here for, and it is no bother. I'm just a couple of minutes away. Your daughter will have great memories of her special graduation trip forever! What a great gift to her. Come back whenever you can. I'm sure the mountains will be calling your name!

Great house, needs a handyman's visit

  • 4 of 5

The house was well appointed and the view of the mountains was spectacular. Sunny afternoons were too warm to enjoy the deck and the upstairs of the house itself became very warm, even with the air conditioner unit. Some means of providing shade to the deck would improve the usefulness of that feature. The deck had loose boards and some protruding nails, which needs to be addressed.

Several light bulbs were out and there were no available replacements, nor a means to reach bulbs in ceiling or wall fixtures.

Some of the hardware on the sliding doors was loose and fasteners were stripped out and didn't stay tightened.

Some chairs and tables had loose bolts and screws. The hot tub cover is missing a screw on one of the retaining chains.

Kitchen and laundry facilities were very good. Appliances were new and easy to use. Beds and furniture were comfortable and TVs and Wi-Fi worked well.

Location is very good, just five minutes to downtown Estes Park, but off the busy streets.

A few minor maintenance items keeps it from being a 5-star.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. My number one goal with guests is communication and making sure you love the home. I wish I had heard from you during your stay. You didn't even call to do your check in which is the first item on your list to do when you arrive, and is also posted at the home. Guests are always encouraged to call, email, text me for any reason, at any time. I sleep with my phone on in case of any needs. Regarding the sunny deck, In this location we are not allowed to have a patio cover due to high winds, over 100 mph, and these are sustained winds, not gusts. Even shingles on the house have to be a certain wind rating. They don't happen often, but it would rip an open roof, or patio cover right off. When we bought the home 9 years ago we added another 350 sq ft deck below the other deck to offer 350 sq ft of shade on sunny days. There is a new patio table and chairs and a patio swing for 2. This deck offers the same views as the other deck, so a good option on sunny days, I'm not sure why you didn't use it. There is also a large umbrella available on the upper deck. About 99% of vacation homes, restaurants, and shopping have no air conditioning. Estes Park is not an air conditioned town. Some motels have it available. I checked the high for the day on your 3 days and they were 77, 79, 75 respectively. The ac unit is very large and does work very well, but I am wondering if you could have had it on an economy setting rather than straight ac. Yes, the deck can use some nails pounded in, the the heave and ho of winter to summer this can happen. I will certainly have it checked. Bulbs-extra bulbs are in the basket in the laundry room should one burn out during your stay. They were stocked at the time of your stay, I checked. You can also call and we will gladly replace for you. I'm happy you enjoyed the spectacular views. They are truly amazing and few homes offer these open, 3 sided, views of many, many, mountain ranges and the Continental Divide. I do wish you had called during your stay, as we would have been happy to talk with you and remedy any of your issues that we could. I stand by that it is still worthy of 5 stars!

Outstanding rental!!!

  • 5 of 5

Mountain View is a cozy, well stocked little cabin. The deck and hot tub with mountain views is amazing. This is a wonderful place. We highly recommend it. One minor drawback, there is some road noise. However, the noise is far outweighed by the overall ambience of the cabin.

Although, the cabin is small, it is well laid out. It easily accommodates four adults. The main room upstairs could use a bit more light.

Wonderful home! Beautiful views and convenient location close to town. Very relaxing to enjoy the mountain views from the hot tub or while eating and lounging on the deck. Perfect fire pit for chatting and enjoying the outdoors after sunset. Would certainly recommend!
