Nan Ives purchased this house in 2008
We have owned a property in Ptown since 1996 and when we we looking for a new home we new as soon as we walked with our realtor that we were going to purchase. The location is quiet but easy to get into town, the open floor plan and large deck provides a comfortable living space both indoors and outdoors. We continually invest in updates to our home - in 2014 we renovated both of our bathrooms and they are show stoppers!
My family has rented this home for several summers and we love coming back each year. The home is beautiful and well-appointed. It’s spacious and comfortable and the large deck gets sun all day. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood but it’s still a short walk to town. Our favorite part of the day are the amazing sunsets!
The house showed much better than the photos suggested. Not that they were bad photos...it is hard to portray the spaciousness, the airiness of this house. It is bright and sunny during the day. The ceiling fan on the cathedral ceiling in the living room keeps a nice breeze going - along with opening the doors and windows. The master bedroom is huge! The a/c keeps it nice and cool for sleeping. The a/c units in all the bedrooms worked extremely well. We enjoyed the Bose docking station for our iPod. The kitchen was extremely functional and well-stocked with appliances, etc. The deck was nice for outdoor dining. Big pluses for us are having the use of beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas. Also having two hair dryers in each bathroom was a plus. Also, having the use of the pack n play was great as that is a bulky thing to pack in the car. Beach is only minutes away. Also nice to use the Provincetown Inn pool. Town is only 15 minute walk. Nice to have the bike rental/convenience store at the end of the street too. All in all, a wonderful time was had by all!
I have been renting this house for the past several Summers, and I can honestly say it is the best place I have rented in Ptown. I find that when i am there I never want to leave the house. The deck is perfect for all day sunning and barbecuing. The furnishings are modern and comfortable, and the location is within walking distance to the beach, town center and other area attractions. I would recommend it for singles, couples or families. It has everyhting you need for a restful and enjoyable vacation. the owners always have it very well stocked with essentials and the kichen has everything you need if you want to cook in. Hope you enjoy!!!!
My partner and I have been vacationing with friends in Provincetown off and on for 8 years, and finally found a house that was everything and more than what the description said; the kind of house that you want to go back to each year. The inside living space was amazing and well appointed with some great local art to enjoy....lots of room for 5 of us to spread out, even on rainy days. Inside, a comfy, airy living room, great dining area with a huge table for eating (and some great card games), and gourmet kitchen. Outside, a sunny deck for hanging out, reading, chatting and again, eating. The bedrooms were roomy, the beds comfy, and the view from the little deck off the master bedroom allowed us to look out above the trees toward the dunes and watch the sun set. Fantastic location, too...an extrememly quiet neighborhood in the West End, but with easy access to downtown for our nightly strolls or daily bike rides to Herring Cove beach. The owners, Nan and Midge, were responsive and accommodating to our needs, too...we could tell that this house was more than just a rental for them. All of us loved this rental and cannot wait to vacation there again.
House is located on Bayberry Avenue in an exclusive neighborhood in the West End. It is a short walk to downtown and water. Excellent location for walks through town or biking out to the beach; but enough off the beaten path to offer quiet times when at home. Enjoy sun filled days at the beach, watch the sunset from our private deck, make dinner in our modern kitchen, and then head into town for evening entertainment.
