Spectacular, airy, immaculate house in South Palm Springs is powered by the sun and has conventional back up. Watch our electric meter run backwards! Solar panels are discreetly placed and invisible from the front or back. At 3500 square feet, you won’t lack for room in this comfortable, beautiful and sunny home. House is newly renovated and gorgeously furnished, with original art, a three car garage and a heated pool and spa. We are very near to the Indian Canyons Golf Resort which is open to the public.
Area is far to the south in non-windy Palm Springs, in the prestigious Canyon Country Club neighborhood which receives full sun and has the best views of the San Jacinto mountains from its million dollar plus homes. Have no fear of golf balls or golf carts as we are off the fairway.
The backyard has a shade porch and a 33 foot pool with an attached spa. A six foot hedge provides total privacy for backyard living. Grab some fruit from our citrus trees to squeeze your morning juice and use the outdoor shower. Outdoor dining furniture seats eight. Pool area has four loungers and an outdoor fridge/wet bar and two sitting areas.
All rooms in this house are spacious and sunny with travertine tiles and amazing, original paintings throughout. Living room has soaring cathedral ceiling, fireplace and views of the pool and mountains. The master bathroom is the size of a Manhattan apartment and has a sunken tub and separate shower. Master bedroom has two enormous walk-in closets, each the size of a bedroom. We have added two roll away beds to accommodate more guests.
T.V. den is cool and cozy with shelves full of books and a 42 inch HD television with DVD player. Kitchen is fully equipped with island counter, gourmet cookware and state of the art appliances as well as a television. Next to it is a sunny breakfast room for reading the paper as well as an outdoor breakfast nook in the shade. Cabinets have crystal and wine glasses and three different sets of china.
Flat screen televisions with cable and HBO are in all bedrooms. Long distance calling is free and WiFi is provided for your laptop. A mini-business center with P.C., printer and fax is provided for your use. The computer is connected to DSL.
Solar powered air conditioning keeps this place cool in the hot months. Pool is heated by solar pool heaters with conventional pool heater for backups and heating the spa.
Small to medium dogs are welcome that are clean, flea-free, quiet, non-chewing and housebroken.
High chair and pack and play are available.

'This magnificent private home was stunning from the first look, from the gated and beautifully landscaped exterior into the grand foyer. The wonderful marble floors and high ceilings showcase the gorgeous mountains. We loved the high tech kitchen with full amenities, breakfast nook and the formal dining room, the fireplace and the elegant bedrooms. The video room was inviting and the pool and spa are in a lovely backyard. It feels as if Palm Springs is giving you a gigantic hug. It's the type of comfort you'll want to visit over and over.'

I am a property manager and owner who lives full time in Los Angeles. My own properties are in beautiful Palm Springs, California. I also book guests for two houses in spectacular Hanalei, Hawaii on the garden island of Kauai. One week was not enough! My husband, our three kids and in laws as well as our dog all fit comfortably with plenty of space. The floor plan is split with 2 bedrooms on one side and one on other all with en suite bath. The fold out bed my daughter loved. There was another and a pack n play that we did not need.
The Master was huge and a relaxing get away. The kids loved the TV room and we loved the big dining table to do puzzles and have wine. The pool was perfect size to play in and we love the attached hot tub! My father in law who uses a cane really liked how easy it was to get in the pool with the wide steps. We loved the outdoor shower to clean the kids and the direct access to the master bath from the pool. I was very sad to leave that master bath...
The neighborhood is lovely and great for walking. It really is low wind - we were there with a wind storm and the backyard was very protected. Also just 2 minutes to a very nice Ralphs.
Kitchen was great although we got delicious take out so we never cooked any meals but microwave is great for heating leftovers.
Great wifi! Super fast and no trouble with streaming.

I'm always so happy when this cozy house is available. When it's not, my friends and I rent other homes but always come back. It's big, with lots of easy to hang out space that just works so well. A+
A group of friends and I have had several Palm Springs getaway boys' weekends and stayed in a few different places but we always come back to this one when it's available because it is simply THE BEST. The spaciousness allows for a bit of privacy if you need it but there's also lots of fun spots to spend time as a group, like the TV room, outdoor dining area and of course, the hot tub, that never disappoints. It's the perfect location, central to all the things we love to do. It's nicely appointed but not so fancy that you don't feel like you can relax. The biggest selling point to me isn't any specific aspect of the home. It's the way I feel when I'm there. I have so many wonderful memories of times spent there with good friends and this house, more than any other we've stayed at, adds so much to the good times.
Stayed here with my wife, 5 month old son and father-in-law, my folks stopped by for a few days as well. Lots of room for everyone. Nice open layout, well kept and clean. Kitchen has just about everything you could think of needing and then some. Correspondance with the owner always prompt and friendly. This place is a gem!
I was part of a group that stayed Thanksgiving week, so I didn't organize, but I can say as a guest, the house was great! First of all, it is beautiful and spacious-there was plenty of room for everyone. the layout of the place makes it perfect for families with kids or a small group of individuals (like ourselves) with just enough space for someone to be close to the others without be on top of them. The pool and spa were utilized every day to much enjoyment. The back yard was a constant hang out because of the different areas to hang around it, whether in the sun or comfy shaded areas. A nice bonus were the fresh grapefruits at breakfast time!
I wanted for nothing as the house is stocked with plenty to keep one entertained, when not out enjoying Plam Springs. If anything is needed, there is a supermarket and shopping center within walking distance (or two minutes in a car). The neighborhood is pretty, nice and quiet.
This is the third time we've rented this gem of a house. It's the perfect size for our large group (7) yet feels cozy and intimate. Love the high ceilinged, light filled main room that looks out over the pool. We spend most of our time outdoors and the pool area has two smaller, more intimate areas that are perfect for parents that want to coffee clutch yet keep an eye on playing kids. Minutes to the main drag and really close to Ralph's grocery store...that comes in VERY handy, trust. I can't say enough about this fab casa in the desert!
