Beautiful home and great location. Highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

Great place for a family vacation or girl's trip. Centrally located with lots to do, yet quiet and peaceful. This is a beautiful home that is well appointed with everything we needed and wanted and everything was clean and ready to go. It was nice to have laundry facilities available. Truly some of the best sunsets I've seen. The firepit on the beach was so much fun--roasted marshmallows and smores. We toured local wineries and had some tastings which was very convenient due to the location. You will not be disappointed with this lakehouse. We will definitely be back!

Third Time is a Charm!

  • 5 of 5

It seems we just can’t get enough of this picturesque spot on the peninsula!!! We have visited this home three times and each time we have had the most amazing experience!! I love this rental mostly for the spectacular views of Lake Michigan from the front porch and its charm. The home is beautifully maintained with all of the comforts of home. If you stay here you are in the perfect spot for exploring some of the most spectacular sights in America. Our visit was in October during the changing of the leaves. With this area being ranked one of the best places to view the fall foliage, I was in heaven as a novice photographer!! I can now cross it off my bucket list. If the changing of leaves were not enough Sleeping Bear Dunes was a welcomed surprise. Seeing it in pictures is one thing, but being there and taking in beauty of it all is something pretty special. I highly recommend this home. It will keep you coming back for more!!!!

Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind words and we are so glad you made some great family memories. I could not agree more the fall colors are amazing and why go to the east coast when you get them in Northern Michigan. We hope you come back and visit us again.

Memories To Last a Lifetime

  • 5 of 5

The trip my family made to this home is one we will never forget! We loved the house- the decor was charming, bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, and watching the sunset on the porch each night as well as enjoying coffee there each morning made our vacation exceptional. Not to mention the experience of an outdoor shower facing the woods- genius idea! The lake views from this property are unbelievable- being able to walk down to the beach and having Lake Michigan an arm's length away was a treat. We also enjoyed going to the local wineries that were only 5-10 minutes from the property. Grand Traverse Bay rivals Napa Valley with the winery choices and scenic views. We cannot wait to spend another vacation at this amazing place! Thank you Dan for sharing your place with us and being a great host.

Our Second Stay Here!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We were lucky enough to get this house for the entire month of August! It was our second stay in this wonderful home. The place is neat and clean with everything you need for a home away from home. It is a perfect beachfront location with a beautiful view. The front porch swing was my favorite spot for coffee in the morning and wine/sunsets in the evening! The other family favorite was the outdoor shower (loved it!) We enjoyed many activities right there on the peninsula, such as fishing, swimming, kayaking and winery tours (many wineries to choose from!) Dinner at The Jolly Pumpkin is a must! We took several trips into downtown Traverse City, as it is a great shopping area. We also took day trips to Sand Dunes, Mackinaw Island and two golf courses. All in all it was a fantastic get away! We look forward to another visit to both the area as well as this lovely home!

Wonderful Vacation, Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family and friends stayed at this home the last two weeks of August. We had a fantastic time. Visited wineries (lots), spent a day shopping in downtown TC,where we got some great bargains, went to the sand dunes and rented a boat for the day on beautiful Lake Michigan. The local restaurants were excellent, both formal and casual. We also picked blueberries and peaches at a very close farm and made some wonderful desserts. The home was beautiful, extremely clean and was nicer than we expected. It was great for when our granddaughters came -- settled in like it was home. The owner always got back to us in a timely fashion and gave us great tips on all the fun things we could do while we were there. I would recommend this property to anyone. We hope we can come back next year!

Great Michigan Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had always wanted to visit the Great Lakes region. We went to Mackinaw Island and then spent a week in the Traverse City area in this house. It was the perfect location for exploring this area. The house was very comfortable with great accommodations for our group of five adults and 2 small children. We especially enjoyed watching the sunset from the front porch, campfire on the beach across the road, and spreading out in the spacious house. Some reading, some napping, some watching tv. Space for everyone to get together or get away. Well equipped kitchen so we didn't have to eat out much. Loved the area and plan to come back. Knew it was a great trip cause kids didn't want to leave.
