Osprey San Pedrito is built on the highest point on the beach with sweeping views of the famous San Pedrito surf break to the Cerrito Hills and beyond. A beautiful and tranquil beach setting surrounded by lush tropical huertas, palm groves, fields of chili, basil and herbs and the magical and majestic Sierra del la Laguna mountains to the East. We have three complete suites which can be rented separately or together.
Osprey offers unique ocean view bedrooms just steps from the beach with a fully equipped kitchen, beachfront patio, and ample dining/living area. Beautifully and newly renovated over the footprint of the first house on the beach, Osprey comes with Mexican tiles and details throughout. There are private shaded outdoor areas where you can relax and enjoy endless ocean views. Rent any number of bedrooms.
This is a perfect vacation spot all year long; El Pescadero is said to have the best climate on the Baja with moderate temperatures and cool ocean breezes year round.
Just minutes from the quaint local stores, restaurants and taco stands of El Pescadero. Another 10 min. drive north brings you to Todos Santos, a Pueblo Magico, with its many art galleries, craft shops, restaurants, historical buildings, tours and more. We are 50 min to Cabo and 1 hour 15min drive to La Paz on the Sea of Cortez.
Our vacation at Baja Osprey was fabulous. The unit is very clean, spacious and beautiful, only to be topped by the 180 degree view of the ocean. We could watch the surfers, the whales, the fish and the sunsets all without leaving our place. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. (Not that we did any of that!) Tiffany was very helpful, cheerfully answering all of our questions, and restocking linens when needed. She had lots of ideas of where to eat and play, and also brought a DVD player with lots of fun movies. Everyone we met in San Pedrito made us feel at home. Our son had a wonderful time surfing the amazing point break, which was mere steps from our condo.
Thank you and we hope to be back!

The Surf Suite at Baja Osprey was a real find. This was my first experience renting through VRBO. The owner Russell and his property manager Giovanni made the whole process easy from start to finish. The property was perfect for our purposes. The unit was ocean front, had two bedrooms, one large bathroom, and had a well-stocked kitchen. The unit was very clean and appeared to have near new furniture, appliances and linens. There was a small dining table and a living room that overlook the patio and ocean. The unit was plenty large enough for the three of us besides, we spent the majority of our time on the patio. The patio had a 180° panoramic view of the ocean. You can easily see the surf at San Pedrito Point to the north and to south - miles and miles of open beaches. Straight out front we saw scores of whale breaching all over the place. We have never seen so many. The patio was the spot to be for coffee in the morning and drinks at sunset. Oh yeah, sunsets were incredible!
The beach in front was very wide and great for walks. As for a swimming there, I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who didn’t swim well. During our stay the surf was 6' to 8' and the beach had an enormous shore pound that could have pummeled any novice swimmer. If the surf was significantly smaller, I assume that that swimming would be safer.
For surfers, the unit was a great place to check out the waves at the point and was a very short walk to the break. We lucked out and caught San Pedrito pretty big. The wave quality was world class at times. It definitely had power.
With perfect weather, great surf, incredible views, comfortable and clean abode, the Surf Suite was a great find. I would definitely stay here again!
I'm hard to impress, but the Osprey Nest suite at the top of the house has one of the most spectacular ocean views and sunsets I've ever seen AND sunrise views over the desert behind. With deck space around three sides (plus the entire roof-top!) and windows wrapping around the open living/dining/kitchen area, everywhere you look is incredible. The one bedroom has a great bed, nice linens and good storage, the bathroom has colorful Mexican tiles, lots of towels and a great shower...both rooms have windows so you can enjoy the scenery! The beach never has more than a few people on it, and you can walk forever. Nearby you'll find plenty of restaurants, shops and places to explore. If you're tired of tourist chaos but you love Mexico, Osprey San Pedrito and the rural area of El Pescadaro puts you in the perfect place to escape crowds and the typical hassles and enjoy a little independence with all the comforts you could possible want. Our large group was able to have the entire house for part of the stay and it allowed everyone to be close while maintaining privacy. Well set up and attractively designed this property is cared for and managed superbly. A rental car suitable for dirt roads once you leave the highway lets you appreciate the area fully--our Ford Taurus from BBB (BEST place to rent !) was fine. We're already dreaming of our next trip !
We loved this place! Being right on the ocean, with miles of beach to ourselves, brilliant sunsets and surf was incredible and having both the Palapa Suite and the Surf Suite (the two ground floor units) gave us lots of room for our active family of five. As a home base for exploring the area, El Pescadaro was perfect. Keep in mind that this is a surfing beach, though, and expect big waves...not suitable for gentle floating or swimming! It was easy to find shops and restaurants in El Pescadaro and Todos Santos or visit nearby beaches.. We enjoyed having a car because there's so much to see and do. Our rented Taurus navigated the rough road in and out without any problems and made it possible to visit Cabo San Lucas a couple times. We would absolutely stay here again...great property management and a wonderful property helped make this a vacation to remember!
Just spent a week relaxing at Osprey.......simply amazing. Right on the beach, sunsets are spectacular, slept like a baby while listening to the ocean waves. Very clean, tastefully decorated, and Giovanni is the perfect property host. Truly......the perfect vacation. Close to shopping, good food, and very friendly neighbors........we loved every second of it. Guaranteed, we will be back. PS. If you rent a car..........stay away from Budget. Manipulative, deceitful, dishonest. Joe Owens.......mound, MN
After a brutal Midwestern winter, we were looking for a sunny warm beach that offered peace and quiet. We found it at Osprey House. We stayed four days in the Osprey Nest (second floor suite), and it was wonderful. The beach setting is stunning and unmarred by commercial resorts. Giovanni, the caretaker, was helpful, kind, and considerate. The house was well-appointed and clean, and offered comfort and wonderful views from both inside and the outside veranda. While we were interested in a quiet time, the surfing and off-road adventures were clearly there for those wishing for a more active time. The road from the highway was rough if you are not used to Mexican dirt roads, and the wifi did not work well during our stay, but these were minor inconveniences. Wifi was readily available in both El Pescadero and Todos Santos. Temperate weather with the sea breeze, friendly people (both the native Mexicans and the ex pats), wonderful fresh fruits, vegetables, and sea food available for making your own meals as well as a variety of good restaurants - all in all, this experience was one to remember. We will be back.
My husband and I desperately needed a break from the brutal Midwest winter and, boy, did we ever get it. The pictures and descriptions are accurate. We stayed in the upstairs suite and spent most of our time on the huge veranda watching the surfers, the whales, the sunset, the surf. We walked down the few steps to the beach to walk and occasionally get our feet wet in the sea. The house is very comfortably furnished and clean. Giovanni the caretaker lives on site and was extremely friendly and helpful. (And his nearby restaurant has excellent food.) We highly recommend staying here.
A few "warnings"....the 2 or so mile road leading to the house from the highway is a dirt road with LOTS of bumps and rocks. Also, we were only able to access the wireless one day for about 10 minutes. But that may have been a good thing...
