Easy and comfortable
Everything about this rental was easy! Furniture, beds, linens, etc were comfortable and not like most beach rentals that just feel really cheap. Roof top area is great with an awesome view. Perfect house for 10-12 people. Can't ask for better access to restaurants and bars.
Perfect location for variety of activities
Had people who had never been to Charleston so needed to be able to do the touristy / historic thing and also have ability to enjoy IOP and Sullivan's Island. House location was perfect for both! Such an easy drive into downtown - 15 to 20 minutes - found easy parking each day even on holiday weekend! Highly recommend Bull Dog Tours - Savor the Flavors of Upper King Tour. Were also able to explore all IOP & Sullivans Island has to offer. And we walked to the Windjammer for a concert!! Awesome vacay!!
Horrible Experience Dealing with the owner of this property
As I read through reviews I am so glad others have not had to deal with the owner of this house. If you want to rent from an owner who will lie to you and screw you over please book this house. Her communication skills needs some serious help. To get to the chase, here is what we experienced. On the day of checkout we dropped a bottle that unfortunately cracked the glass stove top. I reported the incident to the owner Lynn the day it happened. Lynn did not respond for 29 days (and later blamed this on hurricane Dorian, not sure how hard it would be to quickly acknowledge the message but here we go). When she decided to respond almost a month later she wanted her money. I get it we cracked the cook top and intended on paying for it. However as you can imagine the house was shared amongst multiple other people and now as the leader of the group I needed to collect the money for her original repair quote (almost 30 days post incident). She texted that she got a "great deal" and to please venmo her the amount. After collecting the money from the group, I decided to do my diligence and simply request a receipt from Lynne. Interestingly enough, Lynne quoted me the wrong amount not once, not twice but 3 different times, and now that I was asking for proof the price miraculously increased significantly. She demanded the increased amount, took no responsibility for underestimating and simply said she never looked at the cost to replace the cooktop as all of the invoices sat with her husband. Maybe she should have gotten the number correct the first time or taken responsibility and accepted she messed up on the amount. Instead she again threw out an arbitrary time to complete her venmo request or else she would take legal action. Now she was hiding behind the fact that her original amount she texted me 3 times for was just an "estimate"...I don't think so. She was mad when I asked for a receipt and made sure the charge was more. You are not renting from a reasonable or respectful person. Needless we will not be back and will spread word on the poor treatment we experienced from this owner. I urge you to not rent this house, there are plenty of other responsive and nice rental owners on the isle of palms who will treat their renters with more respect than we experienced.
So sad that there is not personal responsibility this renter. The easy and quick way to fix this issue would of been to simply have the range replaced at a cost of over $1300. Instead we tried to say the person some money on the repair. Part had to be ordered from Texas, shipment and ability to get person to install replacement stove top was delayed by mandatory evacuation for hurricane ordered by State of South Carolina. This delay saved over 50% of the cost of a new range, but what's the saying "no good deed goes unpunished". In over 10 years of renting this property we have never had a rating like this and as a school teacher in the area for over 15 years I have never had a more rude and disrespectful review in any aspect of my personal or professional reputation. No worriers about you ever being allowed to rent this house again.

We enjoyed the property and the area. Kids really loved it-
Lovely Home, Great Location
Our large family had room to congregate and also to spread out. The rooftop is a great spot to relax and cookout. For older adults, the stairs are an issue, so consider them before renting. Also, consider bringing extra bath towels and washcloths. The close walk to the beach, stores and restaurants truly do make it the best spot on IOP! The owners are super helpful too.
We enjoyed our stay
Less than 20 minutes to downtown Charleston. Less than 2 miles from Mt. Pleasant. Close to everything. With this homes location you will never need to start your car.
