The Island of Curacao has many wonders to enjoy. Take in the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen, snorkel before breakfast, dive right from our beach, teach your children to swim or eat at one of the two restaurants located at Playa Lagun. All of this are at your fingertips from Lagoon Ocean Resort. The ocean is calm and the sea life is abundant. The climate is warm, yet our trade winds keep you comfortable. Curacao is located outside the hurricane belt next to Aruba in the Caribbean where it never rains for very long.
This condo sits approximately 20 feet above sea level and is located less than 15 feet from the waters edge. The view is nothing less than spectacular. An enlarged 1st floor terrace with roof for shade allows you to enjoy oceanfront dining or to just kick back and enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean. Granite countertop in kitchen and enlarged bedroom make this unit unique within the resort. Direct TV with CNN, Disney, Discovery, Nat Geo and many more. Lounge in the pool just outside your back door or walk down the steps to Playa Lagun. Two dive shops are located next to our property. Christoffel National Park and Shete Boca are about 15 minutes away.
You are sure to run out of time before running out of things to see and do. We have a full time Resident Manager on site to attend to your needs and ensure a carefree stay. If you are arriving late, let us know and we can arrange to have a small food/drink package waiting for you.

Ruth & Scott bought this unit in 2006 and are personally involved with every aspect of managing this second home.
Scott McKechnie purchased this condo in 2006
Why you should rent this property? We recently completed a minor renovation expanding our 1st floor terrace and added a roof for shade. Its perfect for oceanfront dining or just kicking back and enjoying the ocean view.
Since we don't use an expensive management company, we pass the savings on to you. Compare our bottom line price with any other ocean front unit in our resort and we'll be lower...we guarantee it!
View...View...View and proximity to beach with great diving and snorkeling. Two restaurants and dive shops are available at Playa Lagun.
We stayed at Scott's places in April for nine nights. Our stay was very enjoyable, as his place had many of the comforts of home, including a very nice kitchen, working water, and any other utilities that a person would like. The area where we stayed was very nice, as it was very close to the local beaches and pool as well as two restaurants that where within walking distances to us. The weather was very nice as there was a constant wind that made the local temperature very tolerable as well as no pests like mosquitoes, which made sitting outdoors very enjoyable without having to wear any protection. Very nice place, would recommend this place to friends and family. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
First of all Scott is a great guy to deal with (as everyone says)!! It was easy and nearl anytime to contact him. The remote control for the gate (by the way you shouldn't swim with it) didn't work proper, but after Peter and Anette (very friendly neighbours) changed flat battery we never had any problem again. The interior is basic but all u need is there. The view is great even though the house is not on the corner (so you can't see the sunset on the balcony, but the beach is right there).
First off Scott is a first rate guy to deal with, quick and simple communications and great info provided when asked and when not.
The location was great, away from the busy hustle and noise of Williamstad and close the better beaches on the island. The drive from the airport and city is very easy and somewhat scenic. The views were awesome from both decks. The condo is exactly what one would expect for a vacation rental, it's not a hotel so don't expect hotel ammenities. A/C worked well upstairs, never used the downstairs one so don't know about that, keeping the windows open allowed the breeze to come in and keep the place comfortable. As mentioned before the gate opener was possessed and work when it wanted to.
We had no complaints about the condo itself but did find the service at the restaurant at the resort next door very slow and the food was just OK. Like mentioned before bring water socks, not only for the lagoon below but for the rest of the beaches as well. We went to Cas Abao beach, one of the better beaches but found it quite rocky as well.
If you decide to stay at this condo definately bring or rent snorkel gear, the lagoon is easy to snorkel and there is lots to see.
Would recommend this condo for anyone.
The location is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Words cannot fully express how beautiful the lagoon is. The house is nothing fancy but it was clean and had air conditioning, that is all we needed.
We arrived late at night and woke up to absolute breathtaking views!!! The gentle breeze was fresh and warm!! It is over an hour from Willemstad, so you will need to rent a car but the house is private and quiet. The beach has shore side snorkeling and that was amazing because I can't swim very well so I was super excited that I didn't have to go out far to see fish and turtles!!
The house supplied us with pots and pans, silverware, cups, plates, etc... We went to Centrum almost every other day for food. We rather eat at home. It was a little shocking how expensive things were but it was expected. Only problem we had with the resort was the remote for the gate worked when it wanted to. Other than that, we did not have any problems. We brought our own snorkel gear but wished we had brought water shoes too.
Wi-fi was wonderful. Owner communication was the best and Ivy, the caretaker, was very nice and sweet. We had a wonderful 12 day stay, we would definitely recommend this place and would definitely come back again :)
I do agree with Sarah - previous reviewer- but the location was so good little else mattered. Disappointed that we were not told the pool was out of action - only reopened for final 2 days - but who needs a pool when you are so close to the sea which is much more interesting. Ideal for snorkelling. I am a weak swimmer but was able to see hundreds of beautiful fish without swimming far out.

First of all, Scott is very easy to deal with. We were flying standby so everything was very last minute and he worked it out. That part is priceless.
Now I will write the review that I wish someone else had written. NONE of what I'm writing are deal-breakers, but these are the things I wish I'd known before agreeing to 10 nights at this apartment.
First of all, the location is perfect. To wake up and see the lagoon below will be amazing!
It's far from Willemstad, but if you're interested in going to the good beaches then you want to be on this end. If you're more interested in going to the museums, shopping or restaurant selection, then stay closer to the city.
Bring water shoes!
This apartment is bare bones.
They supply the first roll of toilet paper and first little bit of dish soap and hand soap (enough for about 2 days), but after that you're on your own. There's a grill, but it's missing parts and finding charcoal on the island may be difficult and expensive, even if you figure out a way to jimmyrig the grill. There's a George Foreman grill (works well) but there really isn't a way to clean it. The kitchen sink does not have hot water, so you'll need to heat water on the stove to wash dishes. Rather than regular chairs at the kitchen table, you'll have to use the large plastic wicker chairs (meant to be part of an outdoor set) at the table, which are the wrong height for the table. You can fit 3 chairs at the kitchen table. You'll probably want to sit outside for meals, and luckily there's a plastic set on the downstairs patio, too, but it's a very narrow space so really only 2 (possibly 3?) can sit at that table. The nicer patio is upstairs but has no table. There is no cutting board in the kitchen, no guide books about Curacao (just some free pamphlets), no games, no deck of cards, no shampoo, no soap, no conditioner. The apartment is extremely warm even though there's a wonderful breeze outside; I can't be certain of why it's so difficult to get the air moving in there but I think it's because the position of the other duplex basically blocks the breeze. The upstairs air conditioner does work very well, but the downstairs unit does. The back porch light wasn't working and the gate remote was acting up. The caretaker lives nearby and is very sweet. She came once during our stay and brought fresh linens and swept.
Again, there are no major problems, just things that are nice to know ahead.
