This professionally decorated, custom-built cottage is located on beautiful Lake Oconee on the 10th hole of the Creshaw/Coore Cuscowilla Golf Course. It has gorgeous lake and golf views, and is walking distance from the Waterside Restaurant and the resort pool. A four-seater golf cart sits in the attached garage for getting around the resort and the golf course.
The cottage sits in a secluded community within Cuscowilla called The Grove - a development of 34 beautiful cottages built around a 5-acre grove of hybrid pines, and surrounded by the golf course and the Lake. The community has its own workout room, community center and docks, and is just across a foot/golf cart bridge from the main resort buildings.
The golf course is one of the country's finest, as evidenced by the many awards it has received since it opened. The club also provides an extensive practice facility and truly excellent hospitality.
About an hour from Atlanta or Augusta.

"Just wanted to say a big "Thank You" for the Thanksgiving weekend my family and I enjoyed in your home at Cuscowilla. We found everything that we needed to be available to enjoy our Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you very, very much for letting us use your home for the weekend. We had such a good time that we are now committed to doing this annually with our families"
My family & I went for a long week-end to relax & enjoy the lake & golf courses. We loved everything about the home down to the fabulous sheets! The lake was beautiful & the pool area perfect. Thanks so much for a wonderful, relaxing time. We will be back for sure!
Our family stayed at this home for long weekend just prior to Christmas. Its our tradition to rent a home where we can all stay and celebrate the holidays together before everyone gets busy with kids' Christmas festivities and seeing everyone on both sides of the families. We couldn't have picked a better home than this for our holiday this year! It had everything we needed. The kitchen is incredibly well stocked --- All Clad pots and pans if you can believe that and even a roaster for the turkey! The rooms were great sized and perfectly laid out. Its funny, the owner Tom calls this a cabin. Trust me, its no cabin in the truest sense of the word. Its a home! A wonderfully decorated, very warm, spacious, inviting home! Access to both the golf course and the lake is right outside your door and everyone loved tooling around the neighborhood on the golf cart. I truly have never stayed in a home in which the owners were so generous. Fully stocked with full access to everything. This home is a winner!
We stayed at this house one weekend in Feb 2011 and had a wonderful time. The house was in very nice condition and very clean. The outdoor fireplace was great and accommodated an afternoon of board games perfectly. It's set in a nice community and backs up to a golf course (with a lake just beyond that). All in all, we had a great time. We would definitely stay here again.
Also, it's fairly easy to get to. We live on the east side of Atlanta, and made it to the house in under 1.5 hours (leaving at 5pm on Friday).
The Lake Oconee area is home to several world-class resorts like Reynolds Plantation, the Ritz Carlton and, of course, Cuscowilla. Some of the best golf in Georgia can be found in this region. A short distance away are the beautiful antebellum towns of Eatonton, Milledgeville, Greensboro and Madison with antique stores, restaurants and nice downtown areas for strolling. About an hour away to the north you'll find Athens, home of the University of Georgia, and traveling about an hour east will take you to Augusta, Georgia, home of the Masters Golf Tournament.
The lake itself is a beautiful expanse of water with plenty of opportunities for fishing, tubing, skiing and swimming. Despite the drought the area has experienced lately, Lake Oconee has been managed throughout by Georgia Power to keep its waterline at a constant level.
