About the property

180m to the sea / beach: A beautiful house in mediterranean garden, antiquity all around

On the edge of a small fishing village in a quiet location just 180 meters from the sea / beach our house is surrounded by a park-like garden with ancient olive trees, lemon trees, cypresses, etc. The house is detached. It is tastefully decorated indoors, outdoors (terrace, balcony, panoramic balcony) spacious. The 2000 square meters garden is called by friends and guests again and again as a piece of paradise, a peaceful green oasis with a variety southern plants. - Village beach (small pebbles) and seaside tavernas, Kafeneons, Pub, located just 180m away. A sandy beach there are about 10km away.

The charming town of NAFPAKTOS, known under the historical name of 'Lepanto' (famous battle against the Turks in 1571), is only 16km away and offers many opportunities to stroll, visit the fort and the old town center with the Venetian harbor. Beautiful Local and Kafeneons the sea invite you to relax. The bustling city PATRA (approx 45km) with its Roman Odeon, many nice stores for shopping and pedestrian areas with great Kafenons can be easily reached by the new bridge across the Gulf of Corinth. The world-famous ancient oracle of DELPHI is only about 70km away. Vacation options so with lots of variety!

Our house consists of 2 levels:

GROUND FLOOR: Sep. Entrance, hallway, bedroom unit for 2 pers. (2 single beds), bathroom and hallway to the passage to the second bedroom (1 bed, 1 60m) Balcony door with mosquito net, fan, balcony opening onto the garden

I. FLOOR (Apartment for 2-5 people, kitchen, bathroom.):

large living room with alcove (2 pers.), mezzanine / loft bed with sleeping accommodation for 2 people - ideal for children) - accessible via wooden staircase, sep. Bedroom with balcony door (2 pers.), Bathroom (hairdryer available), kitchen (electrical stove with oven, gr. Fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, well equipped with dishes, etc.).

The highlight of the house: The large covered BALCONY + PAN balcony (a total of about 40 sqm.) With a fantastic view of the sea and mountains and the island Trisonnia - a 'summer outdoor living room' with large dining table for up to 8 people. , sitting area, marble table - and ideal place for a 'sun-downer' with glowing red sunsets;

Outdoor shower for showering when coming from swimming!

The FLAT in I. STOCK (4 Pers.) - Ideal in low season:

can also with separate bedroom unit part. be rented (up to 6 pers.). It is - especially in the off season - ideal also because of its quiet location for bookworms, seniors and at the Antique enthusiasts since almost all known ancient sites are easily accessible in day trips. (Prices are for 4 pers.)

Natur und Kultur

Das Paradies in Marathias kenne ich nun schon zu drei unterschiedlichen Jahreszeiten und bin immer wieder erstaunt über die Fülle der blühenden und Früchte tragenden Pflanzen im Garten sowie die guten Möglichkeiten - aufgrund der Lage - die Antike zu erkunden, aber auch in einer der vielen Buchten mit Kiesel- oder Sandstrand zu baden.

Die Ausstattung der Wohnung(en) entspricht in allen Details den Angaben, alles ist sauber, gepfelgt und funktioniert.

Die Liegen im Garten und auf der Terrasse laden ein zum Lesen und Lauschen, zum Nachdenken über die besuchten antiken Stätten, die im Rahmen einer Tagestour zu besuchen sind (z. B. Delphi, Olympia, Korinth). Die Gastgeberin kennt aber neben diesen bekannten Orten auch immer bisher wenig besuchte antike Orte und erklärt gerne Weg und Bedeutung.

Die zahlreichen Tavernen in Marathias, aber auch in Nafpaktos beispielsweise bieten die Vielfältigkeit der griechischen Küche.

Der Blick auf die Berge der gegenüberliegenden Peleponnes ist vom Hochbalkon am imposantesten und unvergesslich.

Sehr tolle, saubere Ferienwohnung!

Toll gelegene, liebevoll eingerichtete, saubere Ferienwohnung.

Wir haben hier zu zweit eine Woche verbracht und haben es sehr genossen. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet (Spülmaschine etc.) und wir bekamen sogar eine Flasche selbstgemachtes Olivenöl geschenkt. Der Wohn- und Essbereich ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, sodass man sich wie "zu Hause" fühlt. Das Highlight sind aber die Dachterrasse mit wunderbar freiem Blick aufs Meer und der riesige Garten mit uralten Zitronen- und Olivenbäumen!

Auch der Ort Marathias hat viel Charme mit dem Hafen und den vielen kleinen Tavernen.

Das Wasser zum Baden ist glasklar und türkisblau. Traumhaft!

Für Kulturinteressierte lohnt sich die Fahrt zum Orakel nach Delphi oder nach Nafpaktos. Von der netten Gastgeberin bekommt man aber viele weitere Tips, sodass einem sicher nicht langweilig werden muss.

Für die Ziele außerhalb Marathias benötigt man allerdings ein Auto. An der Wohnung ist auch ein Garagenstellplatz und das komplette Anwesen ist umzäunt.

Die Wohnung kann man wirklich nur empfehlen.

Come essere a casa propria ...!

Il paese si raggiunge rapidamente dopo il viaggio in traghetto. Casa molto bella e confortevolissima; giardino meraviglioso. Mare bello, ma non spettacolare. La posizione consente di raggiungere tutti i siti archeologici più importanti.

Perfetta per una vacanza rilassante con la famiglia, lontani dalla mondanità.
