PLUS: RADIANT HEATED WOOD FLOORS; GAS FIREPLACE; TEMPURPEDIC KING MATTRESS, HEATED GARAGE; A/C IN MASTER BEDROOM, GALLERY-QUALITY ART, FULLY FENCED YARD, 4 separate COVERED DECKS, ADJACENT VACANT LOTS, FULLY ACCESSORIZED/REMODELED GOURMET KITCHEN...... 5 min drive from Pagosa’s natural hot springs, golf course is within 150 yards, fishing, restaurants, a 25 min drive to Wolf Creek ski resort and lots of wildlife-in our yard!

Enjoy beautiful sunsets with views of the foothills and over 60 mature Ponderosas! This three bedroom two full bath home sleeps up to EIGHT ADULTS or 6 adults + 3 kids: Tempurpedic King in master, Queen in 2nd bedroom; Queen pull out leather sofa in living room and a full+twin bunk (100 lb max top bunk) in 3rd bedroom. The master bath has a JET TUB for soaking after an exhilarating day of powder skiing. Home provides stereo system, wireless fiber optic high-speed internet, 2 CABLE TVs, Blue Ray/Wii console+2 Wii remotes and a GAS GRILL/BBQ. Park out of the elements in the garage (2 additional cars can fit on the long driveway).

Come and stay at our peaceful getaway: hammocks hang off the Ponderosas in the summer for lounging, bird/deer & bear watching, and FOUR COVERED DECKS with patio furniture-plenty of space for family gatherings. Home is surrounded on both sides by vacant lots, so privacy is assured, it feels like being in the woods....the deer sure love it.

PLEASE NOTE: HOME IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THOSE WHO CANNOT CLIMB UP/DOWN STAIRS WITH EASE (there are two separate staircases: internal/external (over 20 steps each!). For those not familiar with the Rockies, visit a VISITOR web site to be informed about travel advisories between seasons etc Plan Accordingly! Do not underestimate the difficulty of winter travel in CO mountain country since OWNERS ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WEATHER CONDITIONS/GUEST INEXPERIENCE WITH HIGH COUNTRY/MOUNTAIN HAZARDS/TRANSPORTATION REQUIREMENTS WHILE IN THE ROCKIES. Jim is from Santa Fe, NM and hiked the Weminuche as a kid. His spouse fell in love with Pagosa upon her first visit decades ago. Paradise in the Pines is our dream-get-away from the bustle and noise of city life: where our kids have watched Humming-birds/deer and the occasional bear. It's where they experience great fishing (our daughter holds a record of 20+ fish at one sitting) not far from the house. In essence, a place where wonderful memories are made to last a lifetime..............

Why Jim White chose Southwestern Colorado

We love the outdoors and Pagosa Springs has incredible year-round adventure opportunities. Peace and quiet are interrupted by the wind chimes hanging off the Ponderosas. Humming birds/deer visit often (we provide a salt-lick by the rocks) and the solitude/fence make it their own. Our kids were excited to find fossilized rocks on the many boulders in the yard!

What makes this house unique

Plentiful powder and "first to open Colorado ski resort" at Wolf Creek, feisty trout in the spring-fall, hiking among one of the largest US Wilderness, some of Colorado's most beautiful fall colors, water falls and mountain scenery. Year-round soaking in Pagosa Hot Springs with full spa options for complete relaxation.

Very clean and well appointed. Modern TV system, comfortable beds.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, with modern kitchen appliances and TV system. The living room is very comfortable to hang out in. The beds were comfortable as well.

The stairs could be difficult to navigate depending on age or physical condition, and the main living area of the house is on the 2nd floor, so if you have trouble navigating stairs, be aware of this issue. The shower head in the master bedroom produced very low water pressure, which isn't ideal after a long day on the mountain. These are minor issues, overall the house is excellent, and pet friendly which is becoming harder and harder to find. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Place to Stay

My girlfriend, myself, and our dogs had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at this wonderful home. The location is great to access downtown Pagosa as well as close to some great restaurants and grocery stores. The home itself is beautiful and we enjoyed sitting in front of the fire woth a glass of wine and watching the snow fall every night we were there. The dogs absolutely loved the backyard which is completely enclosed (except that the snow was so deep in places that it hid the fence line). The neighborhood was quiet and being on the second floor mad it feel like there was nobody else around. The last day we were there my car was hit while I was returning some gear we had rented and the owners were very friendly and responded quickly to any questions. I'd highly recommend staying at this property!

Great location! We enjoyed the home for our recent stay. The house ways amply stocked with all the necessities to make our stay enjoyable. We have rented many times in Pagosa and this home is tops. We would likely return or recommend.

Winter Wonderland!

We stayed at this beautiful home during the Christmas to New Years week. It had everything we needed, was in a beautiful setting and made us feel warm and cozy. You feel as though you are out in the woods, even though you are in a neighborhood. Thanks to the White family for sharing their home and I would highly recommend this location.

Notes:
With the adjacent vacant lot, the entire property is fenced in for added privacy . Since this home is equipped with an expensive radiant heating system for the winter, central air is not an option, however we provide A/C in master bedroom and a portable swamp cooler (located in master bedroom closet: just fill w/ water and turn on) to cool down the upstairs (there are ceiling fans in most rooms). The home cools down quickly via cross ventilation/A/C + swamp cooler during the hottest days of July.
