Linda Visa is located within the Freestone Inn development where you will have access to the hot tub, swimming pool, and restaurant (open seasonally, located a few minutes walk from the cabin). Linda Vista is an eco-friendly home that utilizes an extremely efficient geothermal heating and cooling system, water-saving toilets, and native plant landscaping. Linda Vista has a high fidelity WiFi sound system that guests can access. In addition, the property has a backup generator that will automatically turn on if the power goes out.

The Neighborhood:
Linda Vista is located on the Wilson Ranch, home of the Freestone Inn and a number of private cabins in the Early Winters area of Mazama. Methow Trails' Sandy Butte Trail, and Methow Community Trail both go through the Wilson Ranch Property giving convenient access to the Upper Methow Valley trails.

It’s a 17 minute drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 19 minutes to Washington Pass and 25 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead (*drive times according to google maps), making this one of the closest rental cabins to the North Cascade National Park with its many world-class hiking trails. Ideally located for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons.

The Mazama Store, with its great bakery and ‘a little bit of everything good’ is just a 5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride from the cabin; around 20 minutes by ski (depending how fast you slide and glide). Mountain bike and ski rentals are also available in Mazama.

The old west town of Winthrop is 15 miles and under 20 minutes drive down valley, with its great shopping, bakery and dining establishments; the Shafer Museum is also worth a visit to learn about the local history. Winthrop has a fun ice skating rink and is the jumping off point for Methow Rafting’s raft and float tubing on the Methow River. Winthrop’s annual calendar of events includes the Rhythm and Blues Festival, Vintage Car Rally, Memorial Day Rodeo, and Christmas At The End Of The Road (check the town’s website for details).

Getting Around:
Getting Here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over State Route 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I90, Snoqualmie Pass and Bluett Pass, or via highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop. The nearest major airports are Spokane International Airport at 180 miles (year round) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (190 miles in summer / 260 miles in winter). Regional flights are also available at Pangborn Memorial Airport in Wenatchee located 102 miles away.

Wonderful house
Beautiful house, very well equipped, with access to XC ski trails right outside the front door, and short walk to the pub in Mazama. Perfect for three couples. We had a wonderful time.

A beautiful home in an even more beautiful area. My family and I had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to return. The cabin is private, has all the amenities needed, and has close proximity to North Cascades National Park and the town.

Best place ever
We loved this house. It was incredibly comfortable, and charming. Liked that it was eco-friendly. The views were amazing, and it was ideally located for accessing the ski trails - right in between the Freestone Inn and Mazama store. Delicious fresh baked breads and pastries, soups and sandwiches at the Mazama store. It was a nice extra that we were able to use the hot tub at the Freestone Inn. The Methow Valley is an amazing place!

Relaxing Weekend.
This property was perfect for a relaxing weekend. It was well suited for our family of 5. And could have easily had another family with us. The rooms were well accommodating and the kitchen had what we needed to cook in. Winthrop is a short, easy drive. And the Mazama store is only 5 minutes away. The views from the cabin were breathtaking. Athena open property made it a great play area for the kids. Our family will certainly stay here again.
