Estes Park Chalet Rental Photos and Description

Chalet, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-5)

Why stay in the same old cabin or condo when you can stay in our beautiful, clean and unique A-Frame.

The location of this home is perfect for your Estes vacation. It is located in a very quiet collection of a few cabins just a few minutes hike into Rocky Mountain National Park or the the YMCA property and a 1.5 mile drive to Downtown or the Beaver Meadows entrance into RMNP . You can also walk to the very popular Dunraven Italian Restaurant (the one off Hwy 66).

You will have a marvelous Rocky Mountain vacation in this clean, quiet, fully appointed vacation home. We have two bedrooms upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony where you can hear the Big Thompson River through the trees. The second bedroom has a full size bed. Downstairs is tastefully decorated with newer furniture with a pull-out queen and pull-out twin bed. Downstairs is great for kids to sleep in while the grown-ups sleep quietly upstairs.

We have a brand new remodeled full kitchen w/ gas stove, dishwasher and microwave. We also have a newer full sized washer and dryer too.

You can relax and read a book by the wood-burning stove, watch DVD's on the TV (we have a large selection of DVD's stocked), play classic Atari video games or sit on the front or back porches and watch the elk, deer, bears, foxes, coyotes, wild turkeys, rabbits, hummingbirds etc. that are frequently seen on the property.

If you want to hike, this is the location for you. You can hike into Rocky Mountain National Park along the picturesque boulder strewn Big Thompson River and be in the Moraine Park area (prime fishing and elk viewing area) in about 15 minutes. You can also hike along Glacier Creek for more fishing and beautiful trails. The YMCA has numerous trails where mountain biking is allowed. We are close to quite a few restaurants, shopping, horseback riding, fishing, miniature golf and all that Estes has to offer on Highway 66 (Tunnel Rd) into downtown Estes.

About Andrea or Stephen Velasco

Why Andrea or Stephen Velasco chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We fell in love with this house the moment we saw it. We have always loved Estes Park, and wanted our own little piece of it to enjoy. We love being able to easily hike into the park. The wildlife in the immediate area is abundant. The balcony off the bedroom is fantastic for sitting outside with a cup of coffee listening to the roar of the water nearby. We have always loved the unique look of an A-Frame. It's like owning a Harley or an Airstream. Why have a home like everyone else!

What makes this chalet unique

Walk into the RMNP Morraine Park area. Walk to the best restaurant in Estes Park - The Dunraven. Enjoy local wildlife.

Great location!

We loved staying at the A frame! The location was perfect and everything we would need was there. We wanted to get away to relax and it was perfect. It was close to downtown Estes and close to RMNP. The wildlife wondering through yard was amazing ! Would recommend this place to everyone!

Exactly what we were looking for...secluded but very convenient to everything

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I enjoyed staying here for a few days (during the middle-end of the week) with Aspens in peak color and Elk in rut. I'm glad that we stayed during the week rather than the weekend due to the droves of people that came in the weekend we went back to Denver. The house was perfect for us. We saw a lot of Elk in the backyard while we were there. They say the mountain behind the house is bear country but we didn't see any bear or other wildlife at the house. I think this property is priced well because it's nice and well kept but I wouldn't consider it luxurious. The spiral staircase that leads upstairs to the two bedrooms is...well, interesting. They would be challenging for anyone with mobility issues. I would say the staircase is the only drawback of the house...and maybe the bathroom on the first level with bedrooms upstairs. A bathroom trip in the middle of the night requires you to sleepily descend the stairs in the middle of the night. The stairs aren't enough reason not to rent or consider this beautiful property. It was perfect for us and we can't complain about anything. The location was perfect and secluded enough to be away from the influx of other travelers but convenient to the RMNP entrance, the country store, coffee, restaurants, etc.

We drove Old Fall River Rd. up to the Alpine Center and down to Grand Lake. We came back over Trail Ridge Rd. We went for a hike the following day to Mills Lake. Absolutely a perfect get away.

Wonderful Cabin-close to RMNP and Estes Park! Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We just loved this cabin. It was so close to the park and we had just spent 3 nights tenting in the park and had a leaking tent one night. We were so happy to have a kitchen, shower and the wonderful fireplace. It was spotless and upgraded. Everything was perfect. Thank you and hope to stay here again.

Awesome A-Frame

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at your A-Frame! It was in a very convenient location for all our trips to RMNP and Estes Park! It was clean and comfortable! We walked to the Dunraven Restaurant the first night! We loved the food there and how close it was to your A- Frame. We enjoyed sitting in the chairs on the front deck and looking out at the mountains while reading. We spent our days exploring RMNP and Estes Park and our nights relaxing in the A-Frame! We saw deer one night! The stars were beautiful !! The only small things that we could have used were pot holders and dish cloths..outside of that we had everything we needed!!

The perfect little getaway spot!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cute little A-Frame the first week in September. It is in the perfect location! We enjoyed viewing deer and elk right off the porch. We were able to visit Rocky Mountain National Park multiple times a day, since our kiddos needed a good nap before going back out to explore. My husband was able to walk to Moraine Park to fish, which was a huge plus! The A-Frame was very nicely kept, clean, and well furnished. The host was extremely accommodating. I messaged Andrea multiple times and always received a quick response. We were so pleased, we are already looking forward to planning our next trip.

Perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. This was the perfect location for sight seeing and hiking RMNP yet close enough to downtown for shopping and everything else Estes has to offer. The A-frame was so comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking our own meals and the Dunraven Inn, which is within walking distance, was excellent! We saw TONS of wild life with some right out the back door. Nice selection of movies and board games for evening entertainment. Coffee on the deck in the morning and wine on the deck in the evening was so relaxing! We loved our stay here and hope to return. Andrea was very responsive to e-mails and gave GREAT recommendations! Thank you Andrea and Stephen for opening your home to us! XOXOXO. Much love from Minnesota!! :) Krista and Gregg O.
