Vacasa - Vacation Rentals Made Easy:
Professionally managed and cleaned homes
Local assistance 24/7 for emergencies
Secure INSTANT booking
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
A beautiful home with some fixable maintenance issues. Would definitely stay there again. Seems like the house would benefit from a home inspection and subsequent repairs. It would be PERFECT with those efforts.
Like other reviewers mention, the location of the house is great because it is not far from downtown South Lake Tahoe. The house has lots of bedrooms and is quite spacious. For a large group it is perfect because the property does not have neighbors that are too close.
That said, here are the downsides. The house was not clean. When we arrived at check-in at 4PM, the cleaning crew was still cleaning and was struggling to finish. They apologized and mentioned the previous renters left it filthy and they only had two people cleaning. Check out is at 11AM so I don't see why 2 people couldn't turn the house over in 5 hours and if not, they should plan for 3. I read similar comments from other reviewers about these same issues. Floors were so dirty so we did not take off our shoes even though there were signs. Pillows were missing pillow cases. Random tray of food molding on the shelves in the garage. No tips on the pool cues and shower heads were clogged/not spraying properly. Kitchenware needs updating replacing. Games not in a playable state. Overall, the property needs some TLC and is not managed very well.
The Heavenly Valley property was the perfect home for our large group. The home is roomy and the neighborhood is spread out so houses aren't on top of each other. The location is great with accessibility to all that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. Beware the hot tub was not working, which was not disclosed before we arrived. Other than that, no complaints.
We had a large group stay in the Saddle Road property over the 4th of July weekend and were very happy with our experience. The home is large with a great layout and the property is in a great location near the lake and activities that South Lake Tahoe has to offer. We would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful home with easy access to main road that leads you to lake and casinos.. I'm sure we found our summer vacation home from here on out!
First time home renters here, so we looked at a lot of listings before deciding.
This house is big, lot's of space, nice layout, no close neighbors, great outdoor space front and back.
We were very happy with this house. I wanted to give 5 stars, but have to settle for 4. There were several mechanical issues when we arrived. Upon contacting Vacasa, they resolved most of them the next morning.
Also the house needs some TLC. While the house was basically clean upon arrival, it was evident there had been no deep clean in some time, thick layers of dust were visible under the furniture. The kitchenware and service ware are mismatched and in poor condition. Plates and cups are chipped, there were not enough spoons for our party of 12. There were no plates/cups appropriate for our younger family members. The one refrigerator is to small for the number of people staying in the house, and is missing shelves and drawers. There was a constant leak from the rooftop hot tub, that causes a puddle in the backyard near the patio space. The games were missing pieces, the pool table needs cue sticks, what is there is in poor condition. There were not enough towels, we found we had to wash towels daily to have enough.
Despite these items, this house really met our needs, and we would definitely consider staying again for a future trip to Tahoe. The location is so close you can be at the shore or casinos in 10 minutes. There is plenty of parking, 7 cars easily without needing to park on the street. Even though it is less than 1 block from Pioneer Trail, it was very quiet all the time.
There was so much space it was very easy for everyone to relax. The multiple family rooms, sitting room and game room allowed everyone a place to hangout without having to be in the same space, or staying in the bedrooms. The bedrooms are nice sized and comfortable. Every bathtub is a jacuzzi bath, and the master bedroom has a nice en-suite.
Overall the house is a real treasure. The location, size, price and comfort really made our stay enjoyable.
