This beachfront villa reflects the true Out Island charisma and beauty of the Bahamas! Peaceful location, yet near enough to Georgetown for supplies or an evening out. The entire front of the house is all glass from floor to ceiling. The view of the sea is stunning and relaxing. The huge open area of living space lends itself to accommodating two persons or four persons (parents and 2 children would be fine)and entertaining.
The ceilings are exposed beam and give the unencumbered indoor space a wide open Caribbean look and feel with gentle breezes flowing throughout the entire home. Individual zone air conditioning is provided throughout if so desired.
The bedrooms are large and private. The master bedroom is 20 feet by 20 feet and overlooks the sea. The other bedroom measures 12 feet by 20 feet with palm tree views.
Cooking and entertaining are really fun with the open kitchen design and the cooking 'island' for everyone to take part. Slide open the glass doors in the front and go out onto an wonderfully large and airy deck that is perfect for relaxing, catching some 'rays,' and enjoying the sea views and sea breezes. Kayaking, snorkeling, and swimming are all only 25 feet away!
So kickback, relax, and enjoy SEASTAR. Reserve your time in the warm sun of the Bahamas for a week, a month, or longer. Party on!

my husband and i just returned from a week at Seastar and cannot say enough about the house, the location, and the experience! the house is welcoming, expansive, and comfortable. Only about a 12 minute drive from the airport, yet when you get inside the house and out to the deck, you feel like a world away! Sunrises and the water view are simply spectacular and the design of the house is brilliant. we loved being able to walk 20 feet into the crystal clear water right off the deck whenever we desired. house has full A/C for your comfort which was lovely. kayaks were a joy to use right out the back, and it was great to have snorkeling equipment to take with us to various other locations. As mentioned, the house is close to airport (not close enough to hear any planes) and also a 2 minute drive from shops, banks, ferry to Stocking Island, and lots of other amenities. we felt safe, our privacy was undisturbed, and everything was just great. wish list ~ would love to have the sliders function better and have screens so we could enjoy more of the ocean breezes inside the house. thank you David, for sharing your beautiful home and property with us! well-equipped and highly recommended!
Wonderful site with beach out front. Owner provides fully equipped, including kayaks. Get Bahamas sim card for phone internet on island, and house. No safe on site and, as of our visit, many windows wouldn't lock. Many sliding doors won't open. Owner very responsive and helpful getting us settled there.
My wife, three year old, and I just got back from a super fun and relaxing week long vacation at SEASTAR. This was our first time to the Bahama's and it's safe to say that we're hooked and WILL be returning. Let me just take a moment to set the stage.
When you land at the Exuma International Airport, you walk off the plane, across the tarmac, stand in one of two lines that extends out the door of the airport until you get through customs. Once you make it through, if you've rented a car from say, Sure To Shore, they will have the car ready and waiting for you in the parking lot at the north side of the airport. If you rented or not, Luther, the caretaker for the house will be happily waiting for you outside to help with anything you may need help with and also drive you to the house and get you into the property. Upon arrival at SEASTAR, I would highly recommend just leaving your luggage in the car and just head straight for the doors. Open the door and just let yourself get lost in paradise because this is the view you will not get sick of seeing for the rest of your vacation. Welcome to the Bahama's!
You can tell that when David built this place, he wanted it to be fully focused on simplicity and the spectacular views. SEASTAR is in the prime location for literally everything. Just to the North you have Smitty's which is a nice place to quickly grab anything grocery related, or even Aloe (Use SPF 70+ sunscreen and apply often, the sun is brutal). Past Smitty's is Prime Island Deli and Meats, the best priced selection of meat in the area. If you go South of SEASTAR, you have Hideaways Resort Bar and Grill, which serves good American food. They also do carry-out for those nights you would rather come back to the house and sit on the deck and watch the activity in Elizabeth Harbor. It's also a very short drive to George Town, where there is quite a bit of stuff to do.
There is just so much stuff to do on the Island and being the map nerd that I am, I create a Google map for every destination that we travel, or hope to travel to some day to make sightseeing and exploring easier. If you're interested, here is what I put together for this trip; https://goo.gl/0IY57A.
Overall, thank you David for opening up your beautiful home to us! We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return. Luther was such a great resource for any and all things on the island. He was very friendly and was willing to do anything to help make our stay that much better.
My wife Nancy spent three wonderful weeks at SEASTAR this past February. This was our third consecutive year staying at SEASTAR and we could not be happier with Exuma and
it's people; with the accommodations; and with David as host and Luther as our on island host. We have spent many years vacationing on various islands in the Bahamas.
We have always enjoyed anywhere we stayed because of the beauty of the Bahamas and
the genuine friendliness and kindness of the people we have met. However nowhere else
has been as nice as Exuma and SEASTAR. The house itself is wonderfully appointed and
comfortable and has extraordinary views of Elizabeth Harbor, Stocking Island, Goat Cay, and
beyond. There is great swimming just in front of the house and a fantastic beach, Jolly Hall, just a 10 minute kayak ride away or a short 5-10 minute walk. Kayak or walk another 10 minutes and three are three small resorts where you can enjoy lunch or dinner on the beach. Although I would recommend renting a car to explore the island and enjoy its many beaches and restaurants, we feel the best spot on the island is on the patio at SEASTAR. We spend hours reading, relaxing, swimming, kayaking right there. It's the most relaxing three weeks of our year, and David certainly could not be a nicer host. We look forward to our stay at SEASTAR next year and we hope for years to follow. We could not recommend it, or David, more highly.
My boyfriend and I decide to take a trip every year to a beach of choice. We have done VRBO before in Florida and have also did all inclusive in Dominican and Can Cun. After much research, Seastar hit everything that we were looking for. If you are looking for privacy, adventure, hospitality, this is your place. David was very good with responding and giving us great info on local flavor, car info, snorkeling, site seeing. Luther was great and the journey to and from airport into Exuma, made us feel right at home already. Exuma Bahamas is by far our best adventure yet. Seastar was quiet. We had the whole cay to ourselves. The map was our guide to kayak to Lilly cay, and over to Jolly hall...only about 100 yards out. We found great snorkeling there. We enjoyed Stocking Island on Sunday...you can't miss the pig roast. The food is amazing. You cant forget Thelma's cooking. Just order at 10 and its ready by 1. Bohemians are the most friendly and interesting people who really love there culture and island. We found easy access to the markets. Some things are pricey, but very kind service. You definitely need to rent a car to go into Georgetown and surrounding towns like Rolletown. A journey to Hoopers Bay to feed the turtles. Don't forget to go to Elvis's boat service to go out on a day of snorkeling. The boat ride to Stocking island is around $25 both ways. There is no sense of insecurity going out at night to Club12 and the other bar seekers enjoy. Peace of Plenty serves a great breakfast and they have a lunch menu as well. The home itself is equipped with everything you need. Internet was sketchy at times, and the cable, but understandable due to their hurricane in the Fall. There is washer there. A dryer would be a plus to have.. The kayaks and gear are a plus, too. The master was our fav with the large open view of the ocean when awaking every morning. We met friends and felt right at home on the island of Exuma. We are heading back in June for more adventure. Seastar now has a place in our hearts to call home for a week.
David, sorry for the delay in this review. Joey and I could not have asked for a more amazing place to stay. It suited our laid back lifestyle just perfect. If you are looking for frilly fancy this is the wrong place but if you are looking for a beautiful home with beautiful views, great snorkeling steps away then this place is for you. The house is in a great location, well stocked and we felt very safe there. We stayed for two weeks and really hated to leave when the time came. I would recommend your beautiful piece of paradise to anyone. Thank you for sharing it with us.
