|Minimum Stay||3 - 6 nights|
Going Coastal is what Seaside is all about! Recently remodeled, we are centrally located steps to Ruskin Place and the Seaside Town Square.
Our 3 bedroom/ 3.5 bath cottage includes one master bedroom on the main level and another oversized master on the second floor. The second floor is also home to a twin bedroom and a loft area with a single bed. There are 2 private baths and one shared bathroom on the second floor. A powder bath on the main level completes the layout of this beautiful Seaside cottage!
Also on the main level is the spacious kitchen that opens up to a large dining area, fun-filled family room, and entertainment for movie nights or a family game of trivial pursuit!
Whether you're thinking about going coastal, or just going to the cottage has it all!
And as if the inside of the house wasn't good front of the house boasts a large porch swing and the back deck includes a private bar-b-que ready to grill the burgers and enjoy those long summer days!
Going Coastal never felt so good!

Im writing my review to while I'm still here on Vacation. Seaside is such a great place to visit in the summer. That being said I can't say the same for Going Coastal. This is by far the worst place we have stayed here in Seaside. Not sure whom to blame but some items need to be addressed. The place is just grimy and dirty. Needs a major deep cleaning. The HVAC system struggles to keep up (which I understand with the Heat) but the vents sweat and then a odor fills the house and its down right unbearable. The master bedroom upstairs bed is basically falling apart. The head board and the bed frame are held together by just one screw on each side and the head board sits loose and causes the bed to squeak like no other. Also the comforter on that bed had small blood stains on it. It went straight into the closet. We asked to see if the screen porch could be cleaned or pressure washed and the rental company said they would try and get someone to clean it. That was 5 days ago and have yet to hear back. The stair rail going up the stairs is all sticky and has paint pealing off all the way up. There are cobwebs everywhere on the outside. The hose to clean off beach stuff leaks and shoots more water on you than what you are cleaning. Also the outside back porch is shared by the guest house. Didn't realize this until we arrived. So you share outside shower and outdoor dining with guest house. Not a big deal, but wasn't aware I had to share this area with other guest. The house could be much better but needs some TLC. Location is decent and close to the beach and shops. All this being said I will not return to Going Coastal.
We had an amazing week at Seaside! The beach was gorgeous! We stayed at Going Coastal. The house had a good location and was an easy walk to restaurants and beach. I would have given 5 stars to the house but it is showing signs of wear and tear. Paint coming off the kitchen cabinets. Couches were so low that it was hard to stand up. Also,we couldn't get the upstairs tv to work at all and the downstairs tv had lots of cable problems. The Sandpiper maintenance staff were timely and tried their best to help but the problems could not be fixed. Overall, it was a fun trip and we hope to return to a Seaside soon! P.S. There were no doughnuts this time around.
Going Coastal is located just a block away from the center of Seaside and a delightful walk to all of the amenities. We were delighted to find fresh doughnuts and milk on the counter when we arrived. We were disappointed to find there was no swing on the screen porch. One of our two parking spaces was used for two days by some lady who described herself as "the realtor." With 3 families and cars, we needed all dedicated parking spots. I finally left a note on her car and she removed it for the last day of our stay. There were 7 members in our party and only seating at the dining table for 6 and there were not enough glasses/stemware or flatware to set the table for a meal-- missing many pieces. The towels and sheets were luxurious, but some of the blankets found in the closets and chests were soiled. The dryer was not properly vented to the outside and was therefore a heater/humidifier for the entire house when in use. The outside deck desperately needed to be pressure washed as it was covered with mildew. We loved our visit despite the "tired" parts of this beach cottage. We would love to return when these concerns are addressed.
Our family normally heads to Long Boat Key for our Spring break. This year we decided on Seaside. It was a great choice. What made it more special was our accommodations. The owner was very easy to work with. The house was super clean and extremely comfortable. The location of this house to the various attractions around including the beach was amazing. Just a short walk to everything Seaside offers. I will be back at Seaside again next year. Once we know our dates I will be booking this house again
Going Coastal was great. We had five adults and one child. The size and layout of the house were perfect for our family. The location within Seaside could not have been better, 1 block from the community shops and food and 2 blocks from the pool. We'll be back.
We really enjoyed our stay at Going Coastal. We have stayed on 30A many times over the past 8-9 years and this was the best location we have chosen. We could actually count the number of steps it took us to get to Modica Market each morning. The house is older and a true beach cottage by design. Not as luxurious as some of the homes we have rented previously but we know this is what Seaside was meant to be. An unpretentious and casual beach paradise.
