Creek 'n Woods III is a Smoky Mountain vacation rental cabin in Maggie Valley,NC. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath cabin sleeps 6-9 people, and is fully furnished-all you need to bring are your clothes and food. The cabin is located in the woods, feels like you're in a tree house, and the sounds of the waterfall off the back deck can be heard wherever you're sitting. The L-shaped covered porch has rocking chairs waiting for you, and outside dining tables and chairs. The hot tub is on the back deck, and at the end of a full day of exploring all that there is to do in Haywood County and the surrounding areas, it's a great place to soak away your cares (or the sore muscles and possible bruises from skiing or snowboarding). A gas grill with an extra tank is provided for your use. This cabin is on a paved road, and accessible year round.
There are movies, games, puzzles, and books for your enjoyment, and WiFi and expanded cable are provided.
This cabin is just minutes from golf at the Maggie Valley Club, and also nearby are The Wheels Through Time Museum, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Harrah's Cherokee Casino, Cherokee Museum, Cataloochee Ski Resort, Biltmore Estate, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, fishing, gem mining, shopping, music, and more. Nothing is too far from Maggie Valley!
We take great care of our guests from the moment you call to make your reservation to meeting you upon your arrival no matter what time of day or night that might be. After driving 4-13 hours the last thing visitors to our area need to face is the 'hunt for the cabin' in the dark. When we meet you, we take you to the cabin so that we can explain how everything works, provide directions to the grocery store, suggestions on where to eat, and what to do. For our motorcycle guests, we will even do your grocery shopping if you email us your list in advance thus eliminating multiple trips to the store for 'provisions'. If someone in your group is celebrating a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, graduation, etc) we will do whatever we can to make the occasion special by providing a cake, decorations or the names of local businesses who can meet your needs.
Creek 'n Woods Vacation Rentals is committed to making your vacation memorable, special, and all that you hoped it would be. When your calendar, mind and body need some mountain time and a getaway, call us!
We got married in Maggie Valley in 1996, fell in love with the area, felt we needed to live here, and moved from Ft. Myers, Fl. We love what we do and the people we have met doing vacation rentals since 2001.
Tom & Sue Knapko purchased this cabin in 2003
Maggie Valley is an ideal vacation destination. Located in the Great Smoky Mountains, we're close to everything. It 's a great place to vacation and that's why we have these 4 vacation rental cabins here in Maggie Valley.
My husband and I spent our 39th anniversary at Creek 'n Woods III last October. We wanted to experience the beauty of the mountains in the fall.
Sue metus in the valley and drove us up the mountain to the house. She informed us they called #III "the chicken house" due to its cute decor. The pictures don't do it justice. The wrap around porch with rockers and tables let us spend time outside just enjoying the sun rising over the mountains. The hot tub and man made waterfall were so relaxing.
The kitchen was completely stocked with lots of staples and every pot, pan or dish imaginable. Sue had made us some wonderful chocolate chip cookies to welcome us. The house was very clean and supplied with everything you could possibly need.It is a lovely cabin with a "home feeling." We only used the bottom floor since it was just the two of us, but there is plenty of room upstairs for a larger family.
We spent the days exploring the beautiful mountains and in the evening we loved coming back to "roost" in the chicken house. When we return to Maggie Valley we will certainly be calling Tom & Sue at Creek 'n Woods.
My family and I really enjoyed our stay at Creek N Woods #3. There were 9 of us and we had plenty of room. Our cabin was so inviting and homey! All the special touches Tom and Sue made were great. The homemade cookies were a HUGE hit. The fresh flowers on the table were awesome.
The hot tub was great!! Loved the porch. My family will definitely do this again next year!
Thank you Tom and Sue! The "Davis" from Florida
My family and I stayed at Creek n Woods #3. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!!! Our cabin was very nice from the front door to the back. The hot tub was a great hit with everyone. All the little touches, the fresh homemade cookies were AWESOME, fresh flowers on the table. There were 9 of us and there was plenty of sleeping arrangements and lots of room. It is a GREAT PLACE to stay and we plan to go again next year!! The "Davis" in Florida
The cabin was very clean, well stocked and has all of the amenities. Tom and Sue did a very good job of keeping in touch with before we got there and during our stay. The hot tub and grill were used daily and worked without issue. There was a problem with the heat in cabin (compressor fan went out) but we called and it was very promptly taken care of. That issue was beyond their control. Our only complaint was that the delicious cookies were not refilled on a daily basis. Just Joking!!!!! We will definitely use them again if we go back to Ski or for a vacation in the Maggie Valley area. 5 STARS
I was coming down from Canada for the Wheels Through Time Museum annual motorcycle raffle. My girlfriend wanted to join me on this long weekend getaway. So, I knew a motel stay wouldn't cut it. My fourth time to the area, and her first. I wanted to give her the best possible experience of being in the Smokey mountains. As I started my online search, I came across this one (Creek 'n Woods III). After I read all the reviews, I knew I needed not look any further. This is where I wanted us to stay!!
From the moment I first talked to Tom on the phone, to every other interaction with him, he was so courteous, helpful, inviting, and funny! He met us at a gas station in the valley, guided us up to the cabin, and gave us the tour, and showed us where everything was, and how things worked.....that was really nice.
We had fresh baked cookies in the cookie jar, Amazing fresh baked banana bread, and a bottle of red wine (that I requested) waiting for us.
On our second day there, while out at the museum, Tom dropped off a beer (that he had recommended to me) on the front porch (with instructions how to best taste it). Bourbon Barrel Ale, and it was amazing with the T-Bone steaks I grilled on the BBQ that night!
Yes the place did come with a lot of common spices, and condiments. And being from Canada, we take our coffee very serious......our staple coffee hub is Tim Hortons. Although to find a supply of Starbucks coffee was a huge treat to enjoy in the morning, sitting on the porch, enjoying the view!!!
This cabin had a great layout, and felt much larger than it was. From the half wrap around porch/deck, to the fireplace, the hot tub, the view, and tastefully decorated decor of this cabin, we were extremely happy with our stay here!!!!
My only disappointment with this cabin would be .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... that we didn't stay longer!
Thank you Tom & Sue
When we arrived we were met by Mr Tom and he personally gave us a tour of the cabin. When we arrived back at the cabin there were fresh flowers and FRESH home made cookies! We have stayed at alot of the cabins in the area and this is on top of list...The cabin was immaculate. Loved the decor and the water fall. It all felt like we were at home.
I could not believe that they furnished all of your paper products as well as the fridge and cabinets had basic food and baking products...Mr. Tom and his wife are the most thoughtful owners and it was truly a blessing to have found this property! I would recommend their properties in a heart beat....
A lovely cabin in the woods. Tom met us off property to lead us to the cabin. Felt like we were part of the family with guided tour of the cabin. Well appointed kitchen, stocked pantry with staple items, paper products to use, cleaning supplies and a cookie jar filled with homemade cookies. Grill, hot tub, waterfall, wrap around porch with swing, rocking chairs, and outside dining area.
Maggie Valley is centrally located for day trips to surrounding areas. We travelled to Biltmore Estate, Great Smoky Mountian Railway to Nantahala Forest, Wildwater jeep tour, hiked DuPont Forest, hiked to Water knob summit and Soco Waterfall. Beautiful country!
Tom and Sue are attentive hosts, answering all of our questions and meeting our needs.
