About the property

Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 8)

This recently remodeled rustic retreat is only 30 minutes from Atlanta but you will feel a world away.

Escape the hustle and bustle at our cozy lake cabin. Whether you are soaking in the hot tub, swinging on the hammock, or enjoying the rocking chair on the front porch you can't help but relax.

If you want more action, park your boat and wave runner -or rent one- and head to the lake for wake boarding or fishing. The dock is always in deep water and you're just seconds away from some of the best water for boarding or skiing.

If the weather is cool build a fire in one of our two fire places or step outside and make a roaring fire in the fire pit and roast some marshmallows.

The cabin is located towards the end of a peninsula, so there is water in the front and back and it is very secluded.

Perfect Retreat for Fun!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect lake side retreat for peace and quiet. The feeling of being secluded, yet close to anything you might need. Lake on both sides and trees all around. We spent a month enjoying the beauty of the cabin and our grandchildren's activities in nearby Cumming. The kids enjoyed the hot tub! I can imagine in summer, it is wonderful to access to the lake on both sides! Good shopping and restaurants close by ( great sushi at Rice near Publix) and a short distance to outlets in one direction and more great restaurants (naming two- bison at Ted's Montana Grill was excellent! and don't miss taking the family to the Black Walnut farther south) and shopping in the next few exits south. We travelled into Atlanta sightseeing on several occasions- Coke and Civil Rights Museum, CNN and Oakland Cemetery to name a few. Just a 30-45 minute drive. An all over good stay and perfect spot!

A great getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed here three times now. Great family time. Very secluded at the end of a peninsula with water on both sides of the house. Convenient to outlet shopping a few miles north and everyday shopping a few miles south in Cumming. Port Royale Marina is just 10 minutes away. Our kids enjoy a day on the boat tubing, swimming, and fishing. Easy boat access back to the house by way of the dock. Lots of nearby activities such as Buford Dam, trout hatchery, North GA attractions, etc.

Perfect Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the cabin. Our four kids enjoyed having the entire upstairs to themselves. The cabin was well equipped with great views of the lake (from front and back). We rented a boat from Port Royal, just a short drive away, and used the boat dock for convenient access back to the cabin from the water. We had perfect weather and enjoyed all of the outdoor spaces including the deck, hot tub, hammock, beach area by the boat dock, and the fire pit. The dogs had a great time, too, running up and down the hill to the water. This was perfect family bonding time and a much needed spring break. Our kids cried when it was time to leave. Looking forward to coming back next year.

A Wonderful Lakeside Cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our visit to this great cabin was after season and we loved it !! Exactly as listed with spacious rooms and very kid friendly. Grandkids had a wonderful time visiting on weekends. We did some exploring and hiking and visited some nice little towns in the mountains. Lots of handy shopping, plus we found a couple of restaurant jewels. We will definitely put this cabin on our list for next year. Thank You !!!

A little disappointed

  • 3 of 5

Our experience here leaves me with mixed feelings. The owner was extremely nice and the property itself is perfect for the "lake home" atmosphere. Our issues were with the acorns that fell constantly and dinged up our vehicle. Nothing the owner could do here - except possibly warn us this could happen. We had no idea acorns could do this much damage. Also, we don't have a problem with a cleaning fee, except the home was not that clean. The bedroom on the main level was very dusty - the ceiling fan had lots of dust on the blades. The living room had 'dust bunnies' clinging to a table and peeking out under furniture. I am alergic to dust so this was an issue for me. With such a nice home, friendly owner, and great spot on the lake - we really think this property fell a little short compared to other experiences we've had with VRBO.
