About David Steitz
We are the Steitz Family. We purchased this beautiful land in 1996. We enjoyed it for camping and hiking for many years. Our parents had a dream to build a "cabin" that the whole family could use together. Our dad began work on the bridge in October, 2003. He suddenly and unexpectedly passed away in February, 2004 of a heart attack. We decided to build "The Invincible Lodge" in his memory, and it was completed in May, 2007. The Invincible Lodge has already been a blessing to many people, Dad would be proud!

Why David Steitz chose Idaho Springs
The beauty of this setting speaks for itself. The seclusion, the forest, the mountains create a spirit of quiet and relaxation. The soothing sound of rushing water eases away any tension in your body, mind and soul. It is truly a spiritually refershing place, as Dad always said.
What makes this House unique
The Lodge is big enough to allow the whole family. We enjoy games, relaxing, building a fire, staring out the picture window at the mountains. It is truly a getaway. In the winter, we sled, snowmobile, snowshoe, or just stay warm by the fire. In the summer we hike, fish, mountain bike, run the trails, enjoy the wildflowers, have big bonfires by the creek!

Beautiful property, great house to have a family gathering, beds were comfortable, and great location. There wasnt any communication from the host before checking in which would have been nice. Great stay overall.
Great location and setting.
Great location and property
Property manager was very responsive
Was perfect for our work retreat. Plenty of space for sleeping, meeting, cooking, and relaxing.
Beautiful Mountain Getaway
This is a beautiful cabin. It is a secluded property with a creek, lovely trees, and awesome views. The cabin is spacious and well kept - we had 12 adults "living" there comfortably for 5 days, and plenty of areas to hang out without feeling crowded. The fireplace is very warm and the heated flooring is a very nice feature. Hot tub needed to warm up, but was great. We had some difficulty getting some questions answered in the weeks preceding our stay (no responses to several voicemails and VRBO messages), but once there we had prompt attention. Minor sewer issue on last day but property manager talked us through the fix. This place is really very nice and we will be coming back next year for our retreat.
House lives up to its name
God has blessed this property ... trust in him you will have the best time staying here.
