We just spent a week at Tree Tops and enjoyed it very much. June and Steve are very helpful and we appreciated their knowledge of the island. We rented a small size SUV and would definitely recommend that. Driving on the left side was easy to adjust to and it gave us the flexibility of going to 6 beaches in 7 days and we took the car ferry to St John. All the beaches were beautiful but of course Magens Bay was awesome and Secret Harbour is truly a gem within minutes of the condo. We enjoyed the town of Red Hook and ate dinner there every night. Fish Tales was a favorite of ours. The villa has all the comforts of home and a grocery store literally at the bottom of the hill. We loved everything about this vacation and would recommend Tree Tops to anyone..... couples or a family.
We just returned from a 10 day stay with June & Steve at Treetops. It was a great place to stay, convenient to Red Hook and high enough for a great breeze everyday with no need for air conditioning. Large accommodations and easy access make this a great choice. Rent a car when you go and explore the island and restaurants. Some of our favorites were Lobster Grille at Bolongo Bay for a more formal dinner and Iggies for a great beach bar, Slice at Sapphire Village, Lime at Pools & Pavilions (great Tapas and drinks) and Waterfront Bistro in St. John. For beaches we enjoyed Sapphire and Coki for snorkeling and Megans Bay for relaxing. Looking forward to our next visit to STT to enjoy Treetops and June & Steve's hospitality.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay at Tree Tops this Winter. Waking up to the beautiful view of the harbor. Opening all the doors and getting the trade winds was so awesome. I can't remember a place I have rented in a warm area that we didn't have to use the air condition and we could take advantage of the warm breezes coming in.
We were a family of 4 (2 Adults, 1 Grandmother and 1 Child). We had plenty of space to spread out and we were very comfortable sleeping at night. The dipping pool was perfect to cool off, the location was perfect to get to the Ferry, Restaurants, Shops and Beaches. Lindquist Beach was our favorite, we also went to Magens Bay which was beautiful.
The owners are very accommodating. June brought us a funny looking flower that would bloom into something beautiful at 7:07 at night. Our daughter....and us just loved this. This is a little memory made that we would not have come across on our own. Our daughter also enjoyed finding flowers left for us under the rock on the gate :)
We got into some parking trouble at the bottom of the hill, where our rental car actually got a boot put on it and cost us $150. We thought the whole thing was shady, but we needed the car back. The next morning we told the owner what happened and she made a few calls around to rectify the situation. She really didn't have to do this, but we were overwhelmed with her thoughtfulness of helping us.
I would recommend Tree Tops to everyone. This was our very first time in St. Thomas and it certainly was memorable. Thank you so much!!
We (two couples) arrived at Tree Tops Villa on Christmas Eve, quite late in the evening, and were treated to a beautiful dinner and refreshments that June prepared for us, awaiting on the deck. What a marvelous treat after a long day of travelling, and it set the tone for the rest of our two-week stay: Fantastic! We quickly saw that Tree Tops Villa was as advertised and that we made a good choice in renting it. Better, actually, because it is difficult to describe the scenic view, the lush greenery, and the peace and privacy on the deck or at the pool. We spent our days at various beaches (Lindquist Beach became our favorite and it’s only a very short drive from Tree Tops). We walked down to Red Hook to shop or eat (Fish Tails Bar and Grill was tops in our minds). We took the ferry to St. Johns and explored there. The highlight of our visit was a day-sail on the Nightwind with Captain Rick and Deb. All in all, the best R & R ever. Two weeks was not enough. We have to come back! Thanks for everything June & Steve!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 6-day stay in January at the TreeTops and would definitely be happy to plan another stay there in the future.
Although we are experienced travellers, we had never spent time in the US Virgin Islands. We were looking for good snorkeling and a warm getaway in winter. Our stay in St. Thomas was for 6 nights at the TreeTops (followed by the same amount of time in St. John). We loved the USVI’s!
The location of TreeTops is really good. It is not too far from the airport at Charlotte Amalie. It is right above the little community of Red Hook, where there were several good restaurants and grocery stores. TreeTops is also centrally located to many excellent beaches—some public and some at resorts.
I found the owner, June Marsh, to be wonderful and helpful in our email communications. We were looking forward to meeting her, but they were away on vacation while we were there. Their friend and housesitter, Alice, was there instead and she is a real gem. She helped us with many recommendations—ranging from restaurants to good snorkeling to ferry departure information. We even went out with her one evening to listen to a fabulous live music band and dinner at the locals’ Latitude 18 restaurant across the bay from TreeTops.
The accommodation itself was great for the 4 of us (2 couples). Each bedroom-bath suite was at opposite ends of the villa. The showers were really generous in size and the bedrooms had plenty of storage in large closets. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we found everything we could possibly need.
The views from the wraparound balcony are super, as well as the views from the living room. The views are terrific of the Bay itself, as well as both sunrises and sunsets.
This accommodation is a real winner!
